I’m no expert, but I also feel like Donavan Edwards benefited from Orji’s threat as a runner. Not to say Edwards isn’t a complete dude, but it just looked so easy with the both of them together.
FAU had 3 wining season ever prior to May, all of which were under 3 different coaches, none of which directly preceded him. He never had a losing season there. This doesn’t appear to be a coach having success at a small school with advantages over its peers.
I think UM should never be the developmental program for another college program based on its resources. It’s amazing that such a smart and prestigious university has an athletic department that continuously fights with one hand behind its back. But hey, I’m just a Walmart Wolverine, maybe I just don’t get it lol
I love a former OL coach for HC. I’ve been wanting Coach Moore to be the guy.
I believe a good team starts with the OL. Makes your DL better in practice and protects the QB, controls the game.
OL is the hardest position to coach. Coach Moore did that+OC+HC this year. The man can recruit. Doubt this man at your own peril. I hope he gets everything he needs to succeed at the highest level and couldn’t be more excited.
This team has so much young talent. Sewell and Hutch are arguably top 3 already at their respective positions. Holmes is setting up for a nice decade of competitive Lions football. Would love to see them draft JJ and let him marinate behind Goff like J. Love
I’ve mentally moved on to Sherrone and wish Jim luck on future endeavors since the Rose Bowl. If he stays, awesome, what a surprise! But I think the Harbaugh era might be over, and I’m excited to see what Sherrone could become.
Dumb question, isn’t money up front against NCAA rules? … at least it’s ethical to spend $2mil on a high schooler. Could you imagine if they spent $15k on advanced scouting via a rogue staffer for minimal if any advantage?
Well I also added an apostrophe on the Felicias lol. My bad, I know bye is spelt bye… I promise! Lol
But I stand by it, the lions win 9 games back to back years and are trending in the right direction, but they have a streak where they don’t play well and suddenly you have a bunch of crack heads that want to disparage the team.
Yeah, I mean Aiden is really doing it by himself right now on the DLine. Glenn has been amazing but he has wiffed on some dlinemen. If you can stop the run and make Fields read a defense then I like any teams chances.
idk, this regime has earned patience. Get more depth on oline and DLine a #1 corner and they should be solid. I’m waiting for our chance to get a Mahomes in the next few years. Maybe it’ll be JJ?
This entire “scandal” is stupefying. If you’re gonna break rules, however stupid they are, how can you be so brazenly idiotic?! At least two CFB coaching/staff careers ended because you do things like not have a burner phone or have your name on a Venmo or go to a freaking game in person. Also, if Partridge was covering for Stallions that’s just a serious lack of integrity.
I don’t know if UM and Harbaugh shouldn’t just move on soon. The program is in a good spot culturally. If Sherrone excels in this position, then maybe just make him the guy.
I’m not professional enough to be in Ono nor Warde’s shoes. I can’t imagine sometime in the near future being in the same room with all the ppl that are trying to kill your football program and discussing the future of women’s volleyball lol
Disagree, they have Houston and Paschal coming back eventually. Gotta see what you have in those guys. Plus Young has severely underperformed and will need money soon. Also Holmes has been turning mid round picks into cheap and productive players.
Somebody should have told Auburn to save themselves $200k and spent $15k on advanced scouting. Why in the world are all these schools wasting money on players when they can just have ppl record shit that’s readily available to anyone in attendance at any game?
How is Michigan the only program ever since the invention of the smart phone able to think of this? I’m sure it’s not because they had a lunatic staffer with rich parents willing to (allegedly) do something so stupid that other teams wouldn’t waste money on because it’s not much of an advantage at all, right?
I think the playing field should be leveled. How about every college fan just record signals at games and post it on YouTube.
Cover 3 has the best non UM analysis so far. Basically said this was stupid and Harbaugh will likely have plausible deniability. It was funny and they detail how wide spread sign stealing is and that not much will likely come from this.
Okay, include a link, but don’t incorrectly include the link, but don’t make the title too vague, but also not too long, and for the love of god do not double post! … I think I‘ll just stay in my lane with replies lol
I’m in support of athletes making some money, but this system is just stupid. I can’t explain my creeping ambivalence. Something to do with hoping there’s a billionaire in your fanbase who is somehow still kind of a loser enough to buy recruits. I wish leagues would just agree to some sort of compensation structure, but I’m not naïve enough to hold my breath.
This attorney is grandstanding on behalf of the greater Sparty community. These bond conditions are boiler plate from the municipal to the federal level. I actually think it is pretty obvious that the attorney is representing MSU more than the kids he’s supposed to be representing.
Actually, if you look at the 2018 class (which you conveniently omitted) you’ll see that there were many lower rated 3* star recruits than in 2023 (a class that hasn’t been completed). Who were these 3* star bums that you would be so mildly concerned about having on this team? Michael Barrett, German Green, Luke Schoonmaker, Ronnie Bell, Hasan Haskins, Taylor Upshaw and likely 2x Groza winner Jake Moody.
As a matter of fact, the kids that didn’t pan out tended to be the 4* kids that year.
So let’s look at this like a 5 year cycle. I bet UM kills it next year and so on.
This is the best development program in the country. This team is #2 in the country. This team beat the Buckeyes, again, by double digits, again.
Ummm what about the class before the 7th ranked class? I’ll help you out, that would be a class ranked 22nd. You know, the one with a ton of contributors to this team that’s beaten OSU twice. The one with likely a chip on their shoulder.
calm down, UM will likely have a great class in ‘24 with a really good qb.
btw, it was really obvious that you omitted the 2018 to fit your narrative.
Side note: I noticed that Spartan and Buckeye fans post occasionally on various UM forums from time to time. And yeah, grief is given and they will get some push back. BUT, and I’m asking if others agree, I don’t see UM folks posting on their respective forums. I feel like that’s mostly due to them being insane lol. Is this take wrong?
Grabbing talented kids from OH and developing them with hate in their hearts for OSU. This is a historically successful strategy for UM. Gotta love it!
I actually think it’s more in the offense. If you can hold them to field goals and the occasional stop then you really have a chance. But the offense is terrible. They really need to do more to get JJ in a rhythm
Well, Michigan had a lot of starters sit, this was a trap game, Corum got dinged, this was a championship game for Illinois and frankly everyone from the fans to the players seemed to be ready to get to next week. I think Michigan is going to play really tough and focused next week. Can they win? Idk? But I’m holding judgment based on a look ahead game against a sporting Illini squad.
2 1/2 years sober. I read Alan Carr’s book on quitting drinking, which reorientated my perception with drinking. Haven’t missed drinking - even at parties.
If you’re asking yourself these questions and posting on a public forum, you already know what you need to do.

Good god look at FAU’s predecessors to May:

The man might know how to build a program. Also, a really good fit imo

Day is gonna need a tub of Just for Men with the amount of pressure to win big this year.
I love a former OL coach for HC. I’ve been wanting Coach Moore to be the guy.

UW Offensive…
The bad news
UW Offensive rankings in CFB
1st passing offense
5th sacks allowed
97th Rushing offense (**not the bad)
Good news
UW Defense rankings
90 total defense
119 passing yards allowed
37 rushing defense
either way, Penix, Odunze and their OL are a problem

For all saying SOL you can go ahead and get off the wagon. By Felicia’s!!
it sucks to lose this game. That being said, big picture, this could mean the bears stay with their coach and fields as their QB. Which, okay lol
as for the lions, they need more talent on D. Also Goff cannot operate without a clean pocket… like period.
Lions need to keep a winning culture and draft well and they’ll have their opportunities season after season, like the ravens. I’ll take that.

SEC: a league where Omertà still exists
BIG: snitch league
All kidding aside, it would be an advantage to be the only MW in the SEC

DPJ is a sneaky great pickup.

Any chance this is just Stallions’s computer?
if not this is really stupid. If this involves more than Stalions then the SEC shorts skit is more of a reenactment lol.

I hope Jim stays.
This is the secondary story and could end up being pretty big. How long does Ward have?
If Harbaugh is suspended, it’s a good opportunity to see if coach Moore is ready for the job.
Also, let’s hire 85 analysts lol.
I would really like to know what program insiders think about Sherrone Moore. From the outside, there’s not a guy I’d like more imo.
Oline coaches make good Michigan coaches.
They must not have heard that these are the BRAND NEW LIONS!!

Will or would? Cade is this you?! Lol
Everything is a reality show now. Sucks!
There is a difference between playing in conference week to week and having a month to prepare for one opponent.
I 2nd this lol
I actually agree that OSU is a better all around team than USC. The tackling and overall defense by the Trojans is just so pitiful.
That being said, Georgia will MURDER OSU in the semifinals, if all else holds.
Wouldn’t worry about it. Can’t imagine what UGA will do to OSU. It won’t be pretty.

MSU must be offering that kid day 1 starter plus bank. Like what else does that wet fart of a program have? Lol.

Lol @ this video, their shorts look like Jncos! I remember thinking that looked normal!! So weird! 10 years goes by so fast!!
Anybody else getting creeped out by the word “education” in this thread? Lol

W line to Perry stop walk north to Sloan lake; has breweries and cool neighborhood parks
G line to olde town Arvada; bars restaurants
Boulder (there’s a bus that leaves from union station fyi)
Izakaya Den for sushi (Platt Park neighborhood)
Golden Gate Canyon State Park (close)
Okay, looks like most people hate the idea or don’t care. I can take a hint! I will not proceed lol.
