I don't understand all of the negativity directed towards Warde on this site, especially on the message board, lately.

What has he done, or not done, that is the cause of the criticism and sarcasm?

Seriously, I don't get it. It seems like a well run and fiscally solvent Athletic Department, in it's entirety.

Well sort of.

I've been one of the guys clapping back against many of the unfounded and unecessary attacks on Warde here. Some people want Warde to be a public message board griper instead of an AD, and that's simply unreasonable.

Yes, it's fiscally solvent. The teams are good and seem well-equipped in most ways.

But, I mean, it's hard to see Santa's tweet as anything positive for Warde's future. I think he's gone after this year.

I would have agreed with "well-run" until the Mel Pearson thing.

The bigger question is still Harbaugh’s future. I’m very glad he’s returning for 2023, but unless or until he signs a new contract with a huge buyout, I think next year will be the most likely time for a return to the NFL.

The 2023 team is loaded and is a legitimate national championship contender. Why miss out on that opportunity? But after that, with all the players who will likely be leaving and this year’s subpar recruiting class, 2024 may be a very different story. After three excellent teams in a row, Harbaugh’s NFL appeal would never be higher. At 60, he’d be at a point where he’d know the opportunities won’t be there much longer. We’ll see what happens with his contract.

Trust me it's written in this blog,"loudly!"  Just keep reading.  Fiscally we are sound and have won multiple championships.  However, even people that have no,"first hand information" have strong convictions about Warde.  All you need to do is read, the MLK post from today.  It's a wonderful world.

I have no skin in the Warde fight, but the public nature of the boss's intervention will have an impact on candidates to replace Warde. We don't know what Warde's issue is or was. We don't know if he had backing from any Regents for his position with Harbaugh.I agree that he's likely done here. Harbaugh is not blameless in this public display either. I think that there is much more to follow.

I agree.  Ward really screwed up the Pearson situation. I can understand how Ward handled the Jim situation last year, and Backich, and Beilein (though he probably screwed those up too) but he was wrong for supporting Mel until the very end.  He screwed that up badly and should have gotten fired for it.
