Had EGJ been posting the GIF…

Had EGJ been posting the GIF in this manner for all these years, I would have noted all the many words of wisdom often imparted along with it.

Of all the spelling errors,…

Of all the spelling errors, in all the words, in all the world...

I shall interpret this not…

I shall interpret this not as a poor title, rather, as a directive to the listed 5 gentlemen to get themselves on board with "Epic Monday" immediately!

Just to follow your point -…

Just to follow your point - not arguing against Frampton, thinking that the others are also deserving.

Not an intentional omission …

Not an intentional omission - was more struck by comparing the particular 4 I listed vs those I listed that aren't in. Whatever the nebulous criteria is...it just seems like those I listed on the non-inductee list would fit as 'ins' on a list that also includes those four.

While the headline probably…

While the headline probably deserves the negs it is getting - there is some legitimate discussion as to whether or not to worry about the shape of this recruiting class.

  1. Given the coaching change and turnover of so many assistants and support staff the lack of commitments isn't all that surprising.
  2. There is still plenty of time and opportunity out there for a very strong recruiting class.
  3. This seems like a staff that can and will recruit well.
  4. If the Marshall, Gach and Galloway ballz turn out to be correct the class vastly improves.

Watching closely, and rooting for coach Moore to get a serious commitment run going in the coming weeks. Let's check in on this regularly but with less snitty titles.

Reserving my right to amend…

Reserving my right to amend this answer in a decade to: hiring of Sherrone Moore.

31-17 in a game not as close…

31-17 in a game not as close as the final score would indicate.

Iranian separatist but both…

Iranian separatist but both the Russians and Chinese are funneling money his way.

Why did Shawn Collins not…

Why did Shawn Collins not pan out?

Why did Bo kick to Rocket a second time?

Where was Spartan Bob's other hand while he manipulated the clock?

Was the CIA involved in development and distribution of whatever psychotropic is being dispensed to cause young football players to continue to commit to and play for that satanic cult in Columbus?

Agreed - I never understood…

Agreed - I never understood why, in the argument for one loss team's, it wasn't brought up that the team with the 'best loss' was OSU.

If I understand it correctly…

If I understand it correctly, in that scenario the Red Wings are in because both wild cards would be coming from their division, but if a team was sixth in their division and ahead of the third place team in the other division they would not make it.

I don't mind the overall…

I don't mind the overall division structure in the NHL but I'm a little skeptical of the 'top 3 in' format - sort of easy to picture given scenarios where a division third place team gets in over a better 5th place team from the other division.

Just here to see if I'll…

Just here to see if I'll actually notice the words when EGJ posts...THAT gif.

Yes, it would be, umm, not…

Yes, it would be, umm, not good, if the best bet on the roster to avoid turnovers was the freshman. And as said below, the plan seems locked in for a redshirt - so if it has to be him the glass has broken in case of emergency.

Seems a reasonable season to…

Seems a reasonable season to go with 'QB least likely to turn the ball over'. Given the high school polish, wouldn't be a shocker if that proves to be Davis by conference play. Sure wish UM had the fourth pick in the NFL draft!

Yes, I must admit to a…

Yes, I must admit to a growing nervousness for coach's first commitment. Hopefully they'll be a deluge of them soon thereafter.

Give the Japanese hold outs…

Give the Japanese hold outs a little credit - despite deplorable circumstances, they never once pooped in a cooler!

It makes me wonder: how many…

It makes me wonder: how many times have I visited the POSBANG and completely missed that there were words in EGJ's post?

From the perspective of how…

From the perspective of how the college football season has always had escalating tension as it progresses, the SEC late season non-con cream puff game has always been something to snicker at.

However, from a coaching perspective, I can see some value:

Those freshman your redshirting? Let's see how they've progressed since weeks 1 and 2, etc... .

And now, with the expanded length of a playoff run, resting starters, getting depth players a bit more experience at that spot in the schedule looks rather advantageous.

Post Harbaugh exit/Moore…

Post Harbaugh exit/Moore hire my thoughts on measuring the AD going forward were:

1. Does he replace the failing basketball coach with a quality hire?

2. Does he get UM making progress on the NIL front?

3. Is he working quietly and tirelessly to have the conference commissioner removed from his position?

Can't know the answer to 3, but have to credit him so far on 1 and 2.

It really is kind of amazing…

It really is kind of amazing - he says something that has absolutely nothing to do with OSU and yet it triggers a deluge of angry OSU fan responses.

If you've made it to…

If you've made it to Chattanooga - then Lookout Mountain is good and the short drive to see the Chickamauga battlefield is a must. You can follow the course of the battle field and basically stand where Longstreet took the extra time to align his troops before shattering the US center and then follow along to where Thomas rallied them and, arguably, prevented a wholesale collapse in the West.

I'm in favor of a series of…

I'm in favor of a series of soft, yet diabolically orchestrated, instances which rapidly make the Elston's determine they hate Los Angeles and want to come home.

A nice spring rainfall of…

A nice spring rainfall of quality commits for Coach Moore would be much appreciated as company to the twist and turns of the hoops coaching search.

I deem this not as good a…

I deem this not as good a troll job as whoever got that 'tough' sign put up above Ryan Day's head in his pressers.

The last three seasons would…

The last three seasons would suggest UM already stole that sign.

The Omaha session may have…

The Omaha session may have the most interest for UM fans and the East as a whole - DeVries, Otzelberger, Smith, Dutcher, May. If Colorado State was in there they could advertise it as a playoff for the Michigan job.

Really, really, wanted him…

Really, really, wanted him to succeed as a coach. Bummed that it didn't work. Weirdly, I think my lasting appreciation for him came from the grit he showed in the loss to that Arkansas title team.

A firm hired to investigate…

A firm hired to investigate OSU would undoubtedly find that the firm, itself, had been underpaid for the various external investigations Coach Day originally assigned them.

Opening the possibility of a…

Opening the possibility of a repeat of the Mel report situation - except the replacement's are external and the coaching spin cycle will have seen the best candidates already take jobs... .

All I know about pie, is the…

All I know about pie, is the Thanksgiving leftover pie has tasted so much better on Sunday the last three years. I'm not sure why but I hope this trend continues.

Dismissal of a failed…

Dismissal of a failed basketball coach prior to the end of the season would be an indicator of effort on the part of UM's primary rival.

Getting this late in the afternoon the day after that season without Howard's dismissal would indicate a lack of effort from the UM AD.

I find the sub-header…

I find the sub-header interesting: "means only 4 remain". I couldn't find a study on this in a short search, but if I had to guess: 4 might actually be a high number of coaches to remain after the head coach takes another job.

I vote Johnathan Wallace…

I vote Johnathan Wallace from Kansas - keep Denard doing the great work he is already doing, bring in another young coaching star.

Makes me lament all the more…

Makes me lament all the more the departure of Jay Harbaugh. So, I guess one more coaching slot to fill a week before spring practice starts? Or is there an analyst in the pipeline?

And finally, full coaching…

And finally, full coaching staff posted on the UM website... extra posbang for quelling my fretful BPONE.

I don't think any of the top…

I don't think any of the top QB prospects are at that Joe Burrow absolute can't miss level. To that point, Williams, Daniels and Maye don't seem way ahead of JJ. I think any of those top three teams could do themselves a favor by trading down to get more picks and taking McCarthy a bit later in the first round.

Heck, how many picks could Chicago stack up by trading both Fields and the number one selection, then taking JJ at 9?

"I will reiterate for the…

"I will reiterate for the umpteenth time" - kudos to the meta game with the dreaded triple post.

OSU will be run heavy in the…

OSU will be run heavy in the next go round:

1. Heavy NIL investment for excellent running backs.

2. With Harbaugh gone Coach Day's PI firm is probably scanning this blog and gleaning needed strategic information.

The changes to the transfer…

The changes to the transfer rule shifted bargaining power to the players. NIL means they can discuss their level of pay directly with the head coach if they so choose.

I can see where that is an uncomfortable switch for the coach and boosters that perfected player procurement under the old system.

This also makes me further appreciate and understand coach Moore's desire to add a general manager position to the football program.

"Aha, this will explain away…

"Aha, this will explain away those losses!" Coach Day thought while calling the private investigator.

Only three? I wonder to whom…

Only three? I wonder to whom? Guess I'll have to hire a PI to get that info!

I have found that the search…

I have found that the search function enables some very enjoyable re-reading of game columns from the season.

Also: if this post is about pushing the blog's limited personnel to shape their work in a given direction - I vote against this and in favor of the next recruiting board. Following the new coaching staff's efforts on the recruiting trail is going to be most fascinating.

I long for the days when…

I long for the days when player decision stress was primarily focused around National Signing Day.

Yes, as were were going nuts…

Yes, as were were going nuts over that awesome sack in the championship game - I do suppose all the fans of other teams watching were thinking: 'can we buy THAT guy?'

Unfortunately, a number of those fans are rich boosters.

This can't be stemmed with…

This can't be stemmed with tampering rules, fecklessly enforced, by a toothless, bought off and biased NCAA. The current system means every single player is a free agent twice a year in a league with no salary cap. Can you imagine if that was the set up in the NFL?

The folks with the broadcast rights have to recognize that this is harming the sport by turning fans away from it. Then they have to insist on sensible rules and equitable enforcement of those rules. It needs governance, just not the horrible model of it the NCAA perpetrates.

The players also need to recognize that actual NIL earnings are something for the long term. Keon Sabb may be cashing a paycheck now, but after that title game, if he put together a huge year this up-coming season at Michigan, he'd be profiting from NIL type sales for a lifetime. The chances of that happening decline greatly for a player who switches schools.

I was about to rip this to…

I was about to rip this to shreds for every reason I could find: but before I do - "Top 4 highest ranked conference champs", does this mean Notre Dame can never get a bye? If so, it is the second best possible format, only falling short of the "Notre Dame is never included" format.

If this letter is real:…

If this letter is real: Stapleton obtained an attorney to pursue the matter and then stoops to calling the other party a coward for retaining an attorney to respond in kind. I'd say 'there are no words' but the phrase 'what a fucking putz' does suffice.
