Here’s the thing, there are tangible and intangible traits/qualities that make a good football player. Does somebody actually love football? Are they football smart, or are they just athletic and do well at camps? The star system has enough cache and legitimacy because of results, but there are obviously outliers. Michigan has been struggling in recruiting for a while now and for a program of their caliber, it’s baffling. There is no way in hell to continue the success we’ve witnessed recently without a significant uptick in recruiting.
Anything worth anything is well known and free imo. Usually hits Twitter than here within minutes. You’re not gaining anything substantial from 247 or any other recruiting site. I used to pay for it a while ago, just no substance to me.
Because it’s been proven to be impossible to win championships, and more importantly, repeat that success without stacked rosters. If they pull it off this year it would be a significant exception to the rule and is not likely to happen again any time soon. Also, the difference between a high 3 star and a 5 star is very large lol.
Not complaining because Harbaugh is clearly a great identifier and developer, but damn, what more can we do to get a top 5 class? It’s just not going to happen.
I know what article you’re referring to. It’s safe to say that Harbaugh’s evaluations are great, I think they’ve missed on a lot of the staffs top priorities thus far and that may change during the season.
I have a funny feeling this year will pay dividends more than recent years on the recruiting trail during the season. This class is already really good and it may surprise some people when the cycle is over.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but they need to get rid of automatic bids. Take the 12 best teams, period. I would hate to see a 10-2 P5 team ranked in the top 10 lose out to a conference winner of a G5 conference that wouldn’t finish in the top half of a P5 conference.

Not a fan. I thoroughly enjoy the college game more than the NFL and I think they are slowly ruining a few of the aspects that make it special. For example, the old CFB overtime was a perfect system and that was replaced. I just hope they don’t change PI to a spot foul eventually.
Making the playoffs and beating Ohio State in consecutive years gives credibility and separation from the other numerous 10 win per year teams. That’s the difference.
When any of the big 3 offers the technology, safety, mileage and dependability of a Honda engine then I’ll consider buying domestic. I don’t think that day is coming any time soon.
I’ve always found the 3-2-1 method for ribs to be the best. Peel off membrane and use mustard as a bonding agent. Make a dry rub of heavy salt and pepper along with garlic powder, onion powder and brown sugar, maybe a couple shakes of slap ya mamma. 225 on the smoker for the first 3 hours with a moisture pan and spritzing every 45 minutes with a combination of apple cider vineagar, apple juice, rub and melted butter. Wrap for 2 hours in 2 sheets of heavy duty foil with honey, butter and another good spritz. Uncover for the last hour and glaze.
Edit: use oak logs. Nothing gives flavor like oak imo

With under 5 minutes left JH had Hunter on the fucking bench with 0 fouls. Imagine what Beilein could do with a Howard roster. Not saying he has to go, but don’t want his growing pains to be while being the coach of a premier program.
No. This is the worst rule in the NFL. Many probably incomplete passes end up being 40 yard plays. The way college does it is fine, not the other way around.
Stokes got some run as a true freshman behind 2 All American caliber backs. He looked pretty darn good at times, and like a freshman at other times. He’s clearly in line at the moment to take over after Edwards leaves. He’s not transferring, there isn’t even any smoke about him transferring. That being said, Michigan is looking pretty thin at RB after next year. Edwards will make scouts and NFL teams salivate with his intangibles and has the potential to be a no doubt too 2 pick at his position.
