It makes sense. Caleb Downs left (safety spot opened up), Sabb has a pre-existing relationship with Courtney Morgan  (Bama recruiter who used to be with Michigan and Washington), and DB Domani Jackson, who we lost twice 🤬). I wish him well, and he should shine because it was a good move for him.

Good point, but I wasn't married and had no children then—more of a recent playoff dominance instead of “ancient” history. 😃

Blocking? Who said anything…

Blocking? Who said anything about blocking? Like UMfan said, “Having 2 RBs of that caliber (one who can flex out) is a mismatch nightmare for defenses.” Blake needs to up his screen, flat, and wheel route game, and if he does, you have unlimited permutations of what you can do with flexing either or both in a two-back set. Think of the speed in space and light power options!!!

The possible combination and…

The possible combination and permutation of variables makes it difficult to really know the real reasons why decisions are made. But one important variable for many kids is early playing time and being the hometown hero. Kentucky can sell starting or playing a lot of snaps as a Freshmen and play against the best in the SEC and go pro after your Junior year. Easier to sell that at Kentucky than at Michigan despite being true or not true.

I Agree! Also...

I learned a lot from my first marriage and implemented what I learned in my second marriage. Going on eleven years of wedded bliss! Here’s the key: stop arguing and start communicating.

You can dramatically reduce relationship arguments when you stop accusing your partner of being the problem. When you throw out accusations, it automatically puts your partner on the defensive – and people on the defensive say and do things they don’t mean and that are not productive.

Make the conversation about your own feelings and own your insecurities by using “I statements” rather than “you statements.” “I statements” start with “I feel” and express nonjudgmental emotions. They open up the conversation to your partner to talk about their own feelings, and how you both can come to an agreement.

All three of those RBs were…

All three of those RBs were recruited by Jay Harbaugh! Hart is an excellent coach but was MIA as a recruiter until 6 months ago. Facts are facts, but I'm also ecstatic that Hart is now recruiting like a madman! Both can be true.

You have your opinion, but…

You have your opinion, but Hart recruited like crap for 18 months. Hart has been a recruiting beast for the last six months but was MIA before. JD has his reasons for pushing out his commitment date over and over. His reasons are valid, but the fact is he did it. Weiss was a lazy recruiter and it hurt us.

I follow Sam and EJ. It's…

I follow Sam and EJ. It's not close, EJ’s recruiting insight is much better than Sam’s insight. EJ goes to the recruit's games and their practices. He has a great eye for talent and is a straight shooter. EJ can be prickly on occasion but when he's wrong he will admit it. Sam has some connections, but he is more of a personality that pulls info from a variety of sources.

Sam is salty because EJ is better at this one slice (recruiting) of Michigan football information.

Really??? I’m disappointed, but Hunter, Jett, and Kobe play better than their high school rankings. This is called development!! The surprising fact is how poor the development is for the 4 spot (power forwards). I would have thought evaluation and development of this position would be amazing based on the background of our coach. But to act like several of the players aren’t being developed is lazy and emotional thinking.

Do you know what else Kentucky doesn't have to worry about? Winning the SEC or getting to the playoffs. Ciao, loser.

Yes, please.

Good point! Hopefully…

Good point! Hopefully Campbell wouldn’t be Ben McDaniels 2.0, but your thought process on this is solid. I agree, we should take a risk on an outsider for QB coach. I hate to play with the chemistry (every QB coach has their own throwing process, just like swing coaches in golf), but if we get the right guy it could be next level outcomes for us.

Promote current Michigan…

Promote current Michigan offensive analyst Kirk Campbell to interim QB coach. He has been here for a year so the transition would be seamless. Previously he was at Old Dominion where he spent two seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach (and Penn State before ODU). His focus would be on JJ and helping Moore with game prep by taking whatever Moore doesn’t want or need to do.

ON3’s EJ Holland is the best…

ON3’s EJ Holland is the best when it comes to evaluating recruits and knowing what the players think of Michigan. He goes to the high school games and interviews the players. Some think he can be prickly, but he gives the raw truth. Very rarely wrong regarding his observation. Sometimes the homer in me would like him to turn the intensity down a bit, but he’s good at what he does.

Can you share the 2/3 you understood. It’s the season for sharing.

The key is a fast start! The…

The key is a fast start! The two sketchy losses for Purdue followed the same script with Wisconsin and Iowa getting up quickly with a two TD lead. Purdue isn't good as a one dimensional team. Their RB (Mockobee) is special so we need to score TDs early to keep the ball out of his hands and double team Charlie Jones the WR. If we do this then it will be a blowout, but if we let them hang around it could be a nail biter.

Hilarious and 100% accurate!…

Hilarious and 100% accurate! I have a phenomenal relationship with my daughter, a true “daddy’s girl.” She watched Michigan football with me and bled Maize and Blue. Yeah…got to Athens and indoctrinated into the UGA scene and now she is all Dawgs! I can live with that, but my wife liking Saban is much harder.

I met my wife on Match.com…

I met my wife on Match.com eleven years ago and we got married the following year. It is the second marriage for both of us. She is a very successful attorney and I’m an engineer (Michigan of course) that runs a small software business that makes ROI calculators. I give the background information because we are both analytical, but in very different ways. I think an engineer and attorney relationship is very underrated.

She is kind (to me), beautiful, intelligent, and I’m smart enough to know I hit the jackpot.

My wife went to Alabama, my daughter from my first marriage attends Georgia, and I went to Michigan. College football conversations are always interesting in this house!
