Where is Brian?
Hello Everyone,
I haven't been on the board much this summer, but the past few weeks I have noticed Brian's absence. My apologies for bringing up a topic that I'm sure has already been discussed ad nauseam, but where is he? Hopefully he is ok, and Michigan football hasn't broken him.
TIA.

My best guess is back in 1955 helping Marty and Doc with the flux capacitor

Hanging out with Carmen Sandiego.

If I had to guess, he's probably working on his marriage and trying to determine whether doing so is compatible long-term with running the blog.
Good thing you don’t have to guess.
Let’s not make personal assumptions and just respect his space for now. Seth said he will be back.
Marriages are extremely difficult. I envy people who stay happily married for decades ... they are lucky.
It has absolutely NOTHING to do with luck. Love is a verb and as such requires action. Love requires effort. WORK.
Source: 23 years married and still going strong.
I guess I’m just lucky then. 31 years and it has never felt like “work.”
Ahh, here we go--another MgoBlog dick measuring contest
I love it when people act like heroes because they got married and spit out a couple brats
Overreact much?
"I'm married and happy"
You son of a bitch!

I ain't no hero, but my 2 little "brats" are my life and I'm totally blessed to have had them!!!

I hear you. When people tell me marriage is a lot of work I just nod politely and mutter an “mm hmm”. I feel lucky to be married to my wife and thank God every day for her. The truth is i can’t relate to comments like that, but I try to be nice about it because I realize most aren’t that way.
Everything in this world has to do with luck. That's compatible with many things also requiring work. I've seen incredibly hardworking relationships crushed by horrible unlucky things. Don't be a fucking dickhead.
You'd fall over if you patted yourself on the back any harder.

He's probably in old Honolulu, San Francisco or Ashtabula.
He gone
On one of the many subsequent threads that will be created, and caveated with the old, "I haven't been here much" that ask this same question--ad nauseum--
The Answer might just be revealed.
And then you all will be killed.
Pursuing his acting career
Getting remarried
at fall camp
Spending time in the wilderness
riding a ... squirrel?
If anyone hasn't seen it, the Brian Cook photobomb thread from 2011 is a classic.
edit. Credit to users antidaily, Eck Sentrik, hyeman, and mdoc for these images.
If Brian returns and everything goes back to the way it was I kinda think that Brian's head should be shopped onto Henri the Otter of Ennui and made the official mgoblog mascot.
Oh this is ridiculous. Why would Brian be riding a squirrel?
How else is he gonna fight Nazis? (I just now noticed that detail in the image. wtf is going on in that picture?).
Haven't you seen Star Wars Episode 726: "Chewbacca vs. the Nazis"?
Bottom line: He's currently gone, He'll be back(or he won't), the other site members are keeping things going in his absence and Seth, in particular, seems to be developing his own voice as a writer(if perhaps a tad more political than I prefer, but this isn't my website).
Anything beyond that, I just don't see as being anyone's business. Its being kept private and vague, lets respect that(which is what I believe the snarky responses were trying to convey).
Brian was very political.
Seth is not.
Beg to differ, looking at some of the recent Unverified Veracities and the Summaries for the WTKA weekly podcasts with how different issues are approached and framed as examples(you know the things you should probably cite when trying to flex).
Again, it's not my blog and Seth has done masterful work in keeping it running. I just find some of the points being made to be more political than in the past, not making a stink about it, just pointing out a change from before.
That NIL is good? You can mention the things you think are political. You're not gonna get banned for it.

I’m with MGrowOld on this one. Brian was political far more frequently than Seth has shown to be. So was Ace.
Further, Seth isn’t “developing his own voice” anymore than Haskins is “developing his first step towards the hole”. Yes both are continually improved but Seth has been by far the most enjoyable content creator on this blog for 2-3 years running. I like Brian and I keep coming to this blog significantly because of him, but I’ve appreciated Seth taking a much bigger role because for the recent past and present I enjoy his work more.
His IV. He was a bit dehydrated that day.
Phew. For a minute there, I thought some sicko had attached a post to his wrist and was forcing him to move and make gestures against his will. Thanks for putting my mind at ease.

Avatar checks out.
He, it or they are using those stretchy bands to build up that weak forearm they have going on. No cause for concern.
It took a while, but 'bama finally came in with an offer.
And, well, we know how those things go.
MgoRollTide will be up any day now
At the bottom of the black pit of negative emotions with me. It's nice down here. There's no hope which is terrifying, but also liberating.
The other E stands for Expectations.
I'll tell you the same thing I told the police.....I have no idea where Brian is and I'm definitely not wearing his shoes.
Where are any of us really?
He's in the hole in my basement putting on the lotion.
Yikes. At least he's not having an old friend for dinner.
Easter Island looking for "Michigan" bars.
He is on his official visit to Bama. Don’t be alarmed the rumor is that he has been wearing Michigan gloves at blogger camps
Stuck in the transfer portal?
Don't let this leave the board:
Rumor is he's in talks to sell site to ChatSports.
Been busy with stuff.
He's touring the multiverse like Dr. Strange, looking for alternate dimensions in which Michigan is a top 3 team with several recent natty's, a 19-2 record over Ohio State in the last 21 years, and a perpetual lock on the B1G title.
Sadly, based on the amount of time he's been gone, said universes appear few and far between
Arby’s
I'm pretty sure he's very close to getting a job as a B1G referee and working deep undercover in the early 00s so that he can be assigned a particular game in 2006 and yet another in 2016.
Once those tasks are completed, he will return to the branches of the multiverse to establish a new sacred timeline.
Brian the Variant will be back, but in the meantime, where are we?
he's not going back in time but he is going to be a ref, taking over for O'Neill, under the name "Brian Shegos" and yes he's also going to ref hockey.
