It got the job done but I hope they work on the passing game some against Rutgers and NIU. Need to be prepared if we get in a game where the running game can’t do it alone.
I think it has been against the rules for awhile. You can’t stand over and stare down people. If he wouldn’t have looked down he wouldn’t have gotten it. It was a stupid penalty to take
I think I am a little more optimistic about the Washington game but still the same overall. I feel like our offense is usually less than the sum of its parts and as a result I am still skeptical.

Actually, going strictly off the record established in this thread, most people agree with you that he had an offer and then that after his actions he didn’t have a committable offer from anyone but State and then you disputed that and demanded proof that his offer was pulled with also providing zero proof that he was still being recruited. I was just pointing out that your logic has the same flaws.

Also I don’t think it is fair to say it is “emotion” to take the opposite side of you. There is actually not enough data to say what actually happened. Your lack of evidence that he had at the time he committed to MSU a fully committable offer from Michigan is no different from not being able to prove that he didn’t have one. You are essentially relying on the fact that we for sure no at one point he had an offer, which no one is disputing, while ignoring the fact that evidence that any offer was pulled is very unlikely to occur unless the recruit brings it up.
Basically, your evidence is just as weak as the other side’s evidence and you are being just as “emotional” as everyone else.

More ND fans at USC actually really doesn't prove anything because California is one of the states the majority of their students come from. A lot of their students come from the LA area actually. They aren't coming from Indiana. The alumni base in the LA area and the students on break will go to the game. Plus USC fans aren't on the same level as OSU fans.

I would say he wouldn't be fired. He has won 10 games 3 times. If we fire him we will probably get a second rate coach and go back to wandering in the woods hoping for 8 wins.
Its crazy to me that we didn’t show any of the wrinkles we showed through the season. What happened to the DPJ pass, the fake screen to DPJ, or even the super basic read option. For our biggest game of the year we went into more of a turtle offense than against Rutgers.
I think this off season we need to transition to an innovative spread. Our offense makes everything harder and is going to really hold us back from being an elite team.
I feel like you are the most negative person ever. I think we all want to see that but lets just enjoy the win right now. There are only so many weekends of college football, lets just enjoy them.
