I like Diego Pavia, QB from New Mexico State. He would fit in well with our offense: mobile, gritty, strong leadership skills, can make all the basic throws. He could be a game manager with flash.
Jim has said multiple times that he values the well-being of others over his own. I believe that, and I know that he has the personal value system to support such a statement.
Presuming that is true, I don’t know how he could think about the NFL, even for a moment. The impact that he has on players in college is astronomically more significant than what he could achieve in the NFL. The desire for a Super Bowl victory is a selfish, sophomoric goal. That kind of thing gleams to younger men, players and coaches alike, but I think he’d be thinking bigger at this point in his life.
