I'm a bit older than you and have been boarding since I was 12. I've helped many friends over the years and some of the following tips have been pretty useful for most. Keep your center of gravity low while you figure it out initially. Also, many here have mentioned falling on your butt a lot, which will happen. You also have to be really careful when you fall for forward. Your instinct will be to catch your fall with your hands. Wrist injuries often occur as a result of repeated forward falls. This is why you need to stay low. You can use your knees and hands to soften the fall. If you find yourself suddenly catching a lot of speed, purposefully go down until you are comfortable controlling yourself. There's nothing like "catching an edge" at a high rate of speed when you're learning. This experience alone is enough to make many quit.
Holy smokes, the emotions on display from them, touching on the depths of what this community has endured, what it's meant for them personally, etc, was something else.
Really makes you think about how special a place this blog is.
How in the world does Bama get the players they do, year after year, and that is your best center?
On First Take this AM, Molly actually asked if this could be Saban's best coaching effort overall(this year) due to the general lack of talent(comparing to past years). Absolutely laughable such thing could be suggested.
I recently tried to use a VPN connection out of the UK in an attempt to see Glastonbury content from BBC's Player on their website. It didn't work, so I'm guessing they've made it difficult to restrict their content within the UK. Anyone have any tips on whether or not this is possible?
If you make to the "pinky" area of the lower peninsula, I'd highly recommend the Sleeping Bear Dunes Park, specifically the Pierce Stocking drive. There are stops on that loop where you walk out to the dunes, overlooking Lake Michigan, that are absolutely jaw dropping. At one of the stops, which is arguably the best one, you can watch those who make the trek to go down, and climb back up the dune, which is pretty interesting to witness due to the cliff-like shoreline. When I was young, my parents took us there and it was miserable, you had to park and trek up a sandy dune and walk, what seemed like an eternity as a child, and it wasn't pleasant. Now, you can drive thru, park, and have a very short walk right up the edge. It's fantastic.
It’s a good thing that UM appears to have a coaching staff, and a group of players, who’ve proven the ability to adjust as the game goes on. Takes like his don’t factor this in, which is fine, they’re trying to replay an alternate victory for themselves. Cute
I have a very good friend/co-worker that I messaged at work this morning, "If it helps, it was cold and snowy again on Saturday at Michigan Stadium." He didn't like it.
If they use that logic, what quantity of plays are allowed to be taken away from their own team? Just terrible logic/analysis from a fan base in shock. I love it
I’m not surprised by this one bit. The seething hatred for UM has been on display by a lot of their fan base as well, even by some that I’d never expected it from, unfortunately.
I have a lot of very good friends who are MSU Alum/Fans and I always think of them before I react to scenarios such as these. However, I also know some of the worst folks who never, ever miss an opportunity to take their jabs in UMs direction. Therefore, sorry friends, this sinking ship of a season is great to witness! Bwhahahaha!
The alumni media members easily get a pass. What else would you expect? Now, if Woodson was the actual individual calling the national broadcast, that’s a different story.
I cringed when Alabama wasn't called for a blatant face mask when Texas had the ball 2nd and goal. 1st and goal from the 4 vs 3rd and goal from the 8 is huge. That one has to sting for the Longhorns.
I live just North of the launch area and have seen this before. Unfortunately, I missed this one and am super bummed about it because this doesn't happen all the time. About a year ago, when this, "phenomenon," occurred, there were also pulsating bursts of light coming from the boosters as they were descending. It was truly an amazing site, and as mentioned above, never gets old.

Florida's schedule is crazy this coming season. Wowsa! Definitely a contender for toughest next year.
Number 2 would shock me considering Harbaugh's track record, so, I'll say 3. Last year, the Chargers underachieved, IMO. They have a decent team.

The second half defensive performance this season is the most impressive...IMO.
