Michigan and Georgia will be in it, it's just a matter of who gets in between Washington, Oregon, Texas and Alabama...ohio can go fuck itself and take cryin' and geno with them.

Still too early tonight to know the top ten but if FSU loses.

Georgia , Michigan, Washington, Oregon, Texas, ohio,Alabama, Missouri, Penn st.,FSU.

I've got...

  1. Georgia
  2. Michigan
  3. Oregon
  4. Texas
  5. Washington
  6. Ohio St.
  7. Missouri
  8. Florida St.

Bama is out of the top 10 after their loss to UGA. Louisville will be out of the top 10 next week.

For all the worrying about OSU. They have no shot unless Texas loses and Washington beats Oregon again.

OSU is guaranteed to be behind

  • Michigan
  • SEC Champ (one loss max)
  • Pac 12 Champ (one loss max)

To take the 4th spot, they need

  • Texas to lose (~14 pt favorite vs OklaSt)
  • Bama to lose SEC Champ game OR Georgia to lose to GaTech (2 loss GA)
  • Fla St to lose (down 12-7 to Fla at half and favored by 5.5 vs Louisville)
  • Perhaps Washington to be the Pac12 Winner
    • Would the committee punish a one-loss Wash for playing in the Pac12 champ game while OSU sits at home?

It's possible but very unlikely

In that scenario:

1. Georgia

2. Michigan

3. Oregon

4. Texas

Let's see where OSU falls to on Tuesday.  If the committee keeps them above Texas, oh boy....

It won't matter if they keep them ahead of them. Texas gets another game and will jump OSU with a win.

I wouldn't be against OSU above Texas next Tuesday. In fact, they probably deserve to be.

However, once Texas has the additional win and the Big XII Championship, they jump the Buckeyes without question.

I am rooting for FSU to win out. If Oregon wins i think it will be the following below.  I like an FSU match up the best.  I dont see us jumping Georgia, especially of they beat Bama

1. Georgia

2. Michigan

3. FSU

4. Oregon

  1. Michigan
  2. Georgia
  3. Oregon
  4. Texas

Obviously the computers already love Michigan, but now it has the best win of the season, and its second-best win is at least as good as Georgia's first. Oregon passes the computer test and will have the second-best win of the season. Texas trails FSU to the computers, but its star QB is intact.

OSU sneaking in last year after getting waxed at home and then having a bye week as UM played Purdue was already a joke. Especially when UM would not have been given that same benefit of the doubt had they lost in Columbus. No chance. They'd have put a 2-loss Bama ahead of Michigan and OSU gets their ass beat, sits at home and backs in.

There are three teams that may have 2-losses after next Saturday that get in over OSU if I have a vote. Just for principle, no homer. They will have played in their CCG after going in with the same record as a team sitting at home.

So while I won't answer the specific scenario asked, I'll only say that OSU sneaking in once again after losing and sitting at home while everyone else plays would be a travesty. I'd take a 2-loss Oregon Texas and Bama above them.

I do not reward a team for sitting at home.

more interesting scenario is with a texas loss. ohio state is not in a good place, but they’re going to have an argument if it comes down to them v a 1 loss washington or them v a 1 loss acc champ fsu. i actually think they would almost certainly be 4 if michigan uga UW win, fsu loses out, and texas loses to ok st. a texas win next week and osu is dead. but a loss and they’ve got hope like it or not.
