We just have to acknowledge they are a better team.

We got a fair whistle. Shot and defended reasonably well.

They just wore us down.

Oddly, I believe getting worn down usually shows up on defense, but for us, it seems to show up on offense where we stop cutting and settle for jump shots too much.

Ok let’s come down with this Iggy is awful hot takes cuz they are fucking scorching. Did you happen to watch the first ten minutes of the game? Where he was the only one who could score? If it weren’t for him we would’ve been in a huge hole much earlier. Just shows that he’s a freshman playing defense in intense rivalry games sometimes

Look, there is a reason the Big 10 hasn't won a title in two decades.  They cater to a coach who promotes rape and clutches and grabs.  Refs call a BS call and let McQuaid shoot three when he committed a charge.  Big 10 cannot protect Izzo in March that's why they always get smoked early in the tourney.

How was that a shot attempt? The problem with this game is that the refs seemed to step in. Maybe it’s because MSU started playing better and we were worn down or something, but it’s hard to not think the result might have been different if the refs had called even halves.

Yeah, one point and MOMENTUM. We had a 5-point lead at that point. Okay to give up a 2-point bucket but not a three. I cannot believe I have to keep seeing your pathetic spineless responses to all these posts jbrandimore. Tell us more about yourself jbrandimore. Which Walmart are you greeting at these days? I'd like to spit in my hand before I shake yours at the door.

Please help me understand — the B1G caters to us during the conference season (because, “reasons”), and once we’re in the dance we falter without their protection but the rest of the league has failed to win a title because... ?

There’s no plausible scenario in which you attended and graduated from Michigan.

Agree. People saying we’re “even” are slappies. You don’t lose 3 in 3 weeks to your equal. We don’t have any killers on our team. Killers kill.

We could 100 times straight to them and we would still be the better team. That's how it works

Agree. Do you know why MSU is the better team? It's clear as day. They have an offensive go to player at the end of the game. UM doesn't. It's by committee. Put Derrick Walton on this team then UM wins this game.

UM just doesn't have the one closer at the end.

We did not get a fair whistle when it counted, no call on pooles last shot, that ball was also not off teske so it should’ve been Michigan with a final shot to try and win, the refs completely screwed us in the final couple possessions

The call that surprised me was the three point “shot” by McQuaid.  That looked like an NBA call, not one I expected to be made in college.  He hit him after the fake and before he ever let the ball half-heartedly go.  I didn’t think they called that sort of fake shot in college.

Same script. UM doesn't have the quality shooting or depth necessary to grind out close games. That's why we shouldn't be surprised if they go down early in March madness.

Fair whistle, my ass. McQuaid was not shooting when he was fouled. Should have just been a 1-and-1. And they didn’t call a bunch of fouls in the 2nd half, leading to what happened. Fuck off.

Up 13 and jacking bad 3's. That's how you lose. A real team puts an opponent away when they are down
