We just have to acknowledge they are a better team.

We got a fair whistle. Shot and defended reasonably well.

They just wore us down.

Oddly, I believe getting worn down usually shows up on defense, but for us, it seems to show up on offense where we stop cutting and settle for jump shots too much.

Your a moron, Poole got fouled on his 3, McQuaid didn’t on his...that’s the game

the last 3 times I have seen that play when it wasn’t MSU vs UM, the refs have shaken their head and said “play on”.

If you aren’t in a normal basketball motion, they generally don’t call anything.   Jumping into someone sideways does not constitute a normal basketball motion.

When Winston landed on Simpson when he drove to the hoop and scored with 5 minutes left, they sure didn’t give Simpson the 3 point play

They won all three games....you can excuse it to death.   They were better than Michigan this year.   Whining and bitching contributes to the reputation of our fan base.  Congratulations to Sparty...get ready for the tourney.  Go Blue.

This team just needs a more physical and athletic PG or F. We just need someone who will got strong to the rim in crunch time and not get their shots blocked or lose the ball. If we had Trey on this team we would have beaten MSU 3 times.

Tough to say State is better.

Tougher to watch our shot/decision making on our last 8 possessions. Lots of hero ball, Teske ignored  when covered by short guys, bad vision.

X needs to take over these crucial possessions, will the team to convert and win. Want to see him take charge, lead the team. Can live with the outcome.

Tired of watching Winston bleed us out.

On to better things.

Big picture officiating may have been OK. But you can't say we got a completely fair whistle when they intentionally fouled us on a 3-point shot and we got nothing. At a minimum we take that one from the sideline. Of course they could have done some things better but come on. This is a situation where I'd like to here Beilein come at the refs and show the team he is with them.

Again and again, with fair refs, we win.  No way we lose football or basketball without tainted referees.

We need a go to scorer at the end of games. Also we need more physical play down low to get some rebounds. If Poole was thinking of leaving today should have answered that for him. He is not ready. Also Matthews is not getting drafted so he might as well come back. His basketball days will be over. He won’t last long in the g league.

Beilein got owned. His offense flat out sucks. Once again pivotal calls down the stretch went against UM, but anyone defending JB after this is out of their mind. He has no idea how to attack a team that switches everything. Runs nothing off the ball anymore, Just a bunch of pick and roll and hoisting 3's. He's been bad this year.

Tip the cap to State. The most talented or best coached teams don’t always win. Sometimes it comes down to determination. They wanted it more. Kudos. Michigan is talented, well coached, but not enough depth. They lost Langford, Ward, Ahrens, etc. they still found ways to win. I hate Izzo as much as anyone but the little crybaby, fuckhead, rapist enabler got us this year.

MSU is probably the better team this year, though the gap isn't all that significant.  Credit to them for winning; I actually find this year's team (without Ward) to be pretty interesting to watch.  If Izzo wasn't the coach (and CONSTANTLY making excuses for everything), I wouldn't particularly mind losing to them.

Poole should be benched.

Iggy made horrible decisions in the last 15 ...& left Mquaid open over & over. He should have been benched.

Lose the clown shoes & get ones that match the maize & blue.

While you're acknowledging, I'm moving on to rooting for Mich to win each and every time they step on the floor.

Good thing the '89 team didn't listen to your ilk.  They were swept by Illinois and got blown out by the Flying Illini in Crisler on the last day of the season.  (Mich crept back in garbage time to post a 16 point loss, but the lead reached the mid 20s.  Also, no BTT.)

In fact, entering the National SemiFinal, the Illini were perfect with Kendall Gill in the lineup.  (He broke his foot midseason; Illinois went 4-4 without him.)

Nah, fuck them. State played well and had Michigan's number but I'll be damned if I'm gonna be like 'yeah State is great let's give them credit' (also - Izzo would NEVER acknowledge he got beat by a superior team, esp if it's Michigan, so why should we?)

They also got every single goddamn call in every game. I'm very annoyed Michigan couldn't get it done yet again. But, as Michigan fans we don't need to be going out of our way to praise our archrivals, especially one led by a coach who harbored and protected people in his program who were accused of some pretty awful stuff. Izzo is a creep and State should be ashamed, not praised.
