Tony Petitti says he and Michigan ‘have moved past the friction’
I guess it's now time to move on since Harbaugh's gone.
Petitti said he and Manuel have moved past the friction and even sat next to each other at a dinner the night before Michigan played Alabama in the CFP semifinal at the Rose Bowl. Petitti called Manuel “one of the leaders in our room.”

Guys, it's a "petite D." This stuff practically writes itself.
February 14th, 2024 at 10:46 PM ^
Screw that. He's come out of this situation emboldened and not afraid to do something like this again. I won't be satisfied until he joins Harbaugh in the NFL.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:49 PM ^
NOOOO. He needs togo to the unemployment line and never work again.
February 14th, 2024 at 10:52 PM ^
Bending over and taking it from someone is apparently a good way to "move past the friction..."
Fire both these clowns.

Our application to the SEC must have been rejected.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:53 PM ^
To "Heck" with the SEC. We could have saved the ACC if we had brought ND with us, been the Big Dog and had an in to the richest recruiting areas in the country.
February 15th, 2024 at 6:15 AM ^
The ACC or SEC wouldn't have been much different - still a clown commissioner and other schools ganging against us.
February 14th, 2024 at 10:57 PM ^
Until the next time the rest of the conference wants Michigan’s head.
Tony P still sucks!!
February 14th, 2024 at 10:58 PM ^
Petitpe called Manuel “one of the leaders in our room.”
That's a damning endorsement
February 15th, 2024 at 1:27 AM ^
Who else is in the room? It is quite a statement about the other ADs in the conference.
February 15th, 2024 at 8:23 AM ^
It rings to me that Warde befriended the devil. From the Ncaa and Jim Stapleton the meeting he had with Warde before all this went public. Then the B10 and Petite and cowering to all, two suspensions over complete and utter bs nonsense and changing / altering rules to do so. This in fact tells me who both are.
It was a clear and concerted effort that all 3 were a part of. Manuel, Petite and Stapleton..
February 15th, 2024 at 9:42 AM ^
Yep. It's more likely the Warde rolled over and showed his belly than that Pettiti has had any change of mind. I'm afraid now that Harbaugh is gone, Michigan's going to be tempted to back to soft old Michigan and Warde will just throw Jim under the bus whenever the Big Ten and NCAA come sniffing around again
February 14th, 2024 at 10:58 PM ^
The politics of all this is sick. Honestly been debating how much I want to continue to participate in any college athletics.

Fuck them both.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:12 PM ^
The friction is coaching the Chargers now, just like both of these motherless fucks wanted, so of course everything is fine.
February 15th, 2024 at 8:26 AM ^
Exactly! What is funny is they went after the one that follows the rules more than any other! He played by the rules they printed, he didn't play by the ones that were unspoken by them so they hated him.
Manuel just chased off the coach and one of only a couple head coaches that have went 15-0 to win the National Championship! Verge of building a dynasty at Michigan and they have this.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:12 PM ^
While I don't agree with the action that he took, and I was happy to see Manuel's blistering response, it's time to put it behind us and move on. We're members of the conference and we're not going anywhere.
You can argue with your spouse or your parent, but at some point you have to move on there too.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:28 PM ^
They're not family, they're a shit business partner who really needs you to run the business.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:56 PM ^
I found "We're members of the conference and we're not going anywhere." To be revolting.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:14 PM ^
Petitti’s wife is a skank.
February 15th, 2024 at 8:50 AM ^
Hey listen Petitti, we only play 80's Joel. Now take your skank hooker wife and get the fuck outta here!
February 14th, 2024 at 11:15 PM ^
Who cares? We're 15-0 and national champs!
February 15th, 2024 at 1:36 PM ^
In spite of Pettiti. It could have very easily gone south for us. God knows he tried.
We need to stop him from trying it again.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:27 PM ^
Fuck you Tony, fuck you.
Carried your shit conference on our backs while you stabbed us. Michigan should be trying to sabotage everyone constantly.
Also weird how we didn't hear from you after the B1G or after the national title. You shut up then, shut up now.
February 15th, 2024 at 12:04 AM ^
What happened to the rumored PIs Michigan was going to put on Ohio and expose the endless violations they had been involved in for decades? Was it a false rumor or did they back down. Either way I can't be surprised.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:31 PM ^
These paragraphs were right after. I think he is still talking about Michigan here. He doesn't understand what's best for the conference.
"People sometimes misconstrue, these are never personal things, this is not personal," Petitti said. "This is about doing what's right for the conference, what's right for our institutions. It doesn't mean everybody's going to agree with decisions that come from the league office, but that's the job.
"At the end of the day, it's about doing what you think is right in the process. That's what we did, and there's reaction to that, and we just worked our way through it."
February 15th, 2024 at 1:34 AM ^
So, removing one member of a Committee for discussion is ok.. since, we’re all so understanding, supportive, and concerned about player safety.
It was garbage - if ADs couldn’t share what they thought in a room with a Michigan representative in it.. those ADs are cowards. Petitti allowed - or facilitated it. Both the other ADs and Petitti owe Michigan an apology - or acknowledgement of some kind.
February 15th, 2024 at 6:23 AM ^
This.
The moment Pettiti asked Warde/Harbaugh to leaving the meeting (so they could bash us behind our backs), they should have refused - saying that "conference" meetings *must* have attendance by *all* conference members. If they had problems, they say it to our faces and let us respond directly.
This is a grievance we - as an institution - *must not forget* when it comes time to renew our GoR with the conference. We may still end up signing, but we have no incentive to make it easy for them.
February 15th, 2024 at 1:55 AM ^
What's right? Where are you stopping OSU from tampering and buying recruits? Where are you with other teams sharing stolen signals?
He's such a piece of shit. The right thing for the conference was trying to sabotage your best chance at a title for what, so Ohio State can do it, so Penn State can piss down their leg like they always do?
I truly hope people chant fuck Pettiti every time he's in public.
February 15th, 2024 at 10:21 AM ^
NJ.. I believe you are way off. I think the B1G and other ADs perspective is.. when teams like O$U, Rutgers, and others share Michigan’s signals with future Michigan opponents - it’s positive reference of the Sportsmanship clause. This “working together” to defeat a common opponent just benefits the conference and increases parity.
Yes.. sarcasm intended.

Petite-Dick can still eat a knob.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:38 PM ^
What a crock. This is the same guy who handed the B1G trophy to Zak and didn't say a single word of congratulations. Fuck him. He got rid of Harbaugh which was what he wanted all along. Why should Michigan forgive and forget how he treated us?
February 14th, 2024 at 11:43 PM ^
Mr. Pettiti, I sent Jim to the NFL. Can we be friends now? -Warde Manuel
February 14th, 2024 at 11:45 PM ^
This is annoying but not surprising.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:46 PM ^
I hope our administration is politically savvy enough not to roll over like this. I’m fine if they want to be cordial…until they stick the metaphorical knife in Pettit. As a not very wise man said, it’s not over it’ll never be over. And as another wiser man said, a harbaugh never forgets. Let’s hope we haven’t had the last word yet…

If Warde was a leader in the room, I have to ask. Was the room at the Golden Corral or Ponderosa?
February 15th, 2024 at 10:10 AM ^
Upvoted. No notes.
February 14th, 2024 at 11:52 PM ^
