Embarrassing for the conference and pretty much guarantees that our streak without a champ will continue. I thought the B1G would only get one team to the second weekend, but I had no idea Sparty or Northwestern would have the best shot (and yes, I know I'm saying this without 4 seed Indiana playing yet).
Really? I have both in second weekend. Guard play rules and both have guards that can play.
I think UCLA is far more athletic and talented than anyone Northwestern has faced this season. It's going to be tough for them to stay in it for 40 minutes.
Sparty getting to the Sweet 16 wouldn't have surprised me before today. I like their chances even more after watching them today. But the Big East went 4-1 today. Their conference is holding up better than the B1G, so this is looking like a tough one.

I remember Purdue's football team staff mocking a certain loss we had circa 2007. Their fans trying to rub it in even after we beat them.

This is not a surprise...they were truly vulnerable to this. Too funny-not to my daughter...a Purdue alum.
Despite what the talking heads kept telling me all of last week, I just knew that Purdue wasn't going to make it out of their region (didn't think it was going to happen this fast though). Painter just can't seem to find success in the NCAA tourney. Really bad decision by the boilers to play the drop back coverage for much of the second half, it allowed the knights guards to get way too comfortable with their shots, which they made repeatedly. Purdue's young guards also really succumbed to the moment/pressure - couldn't feed Edey and missed open 3s. Conversely, incredible game by FDU, their guys had amazing grit and energy, clearly deserved to win. I'll be rooting for them on Sunday!

FDU was 7/23 from 3 and shot less than 40% overall. They didn’t play the way a typical underdog does who wins a game like this by shooting the lights out. They actually played quite poorly and would have been run out of the gym by a better team. But Purdue seemed to miss every open 3 - and they had a ton of them. Purdue just honestly shit the bed.

They had to drop back. #2 and #4 for FDU could get by their defender at will.
I hope one day, if Tiny Tom's coaching career has a dead cat bounce and Staee gets a #1 ranking, that they lose to a #16. That would make me happy.

Purdue fans are losers. They were pissed at neutral observers were rooting for FDU and yelling at 10 year old kids to “shut the fuck up”. Never had a problem with their fans until today but they are scum.
They also were yelling NIT at me so I responded with CFP. Everyone that goes to the game reps their team there are Xavier, Notre Dame, WVU fans just in my row who no one says a word to. Why does everyone hate Michigan?
