That's what pisses me off the most.  The biggest cheaters and abusers of the system are the most vocal "GIVE MICHIGAN THE DEATH PENALTY!!" voices.

They are up to their necks in manure, screaming about how our aftershave stinks.

If all of this was initiated by Rice or Stanford, then fine.  But that it's coming from places like Ohio State is beyond sick.

Rhule did too.

https://www.on3.com/college/nebraska-cornhuskers/news/michigan-nebraska-matt-rhule-players-sign-stealing-scandal-allegations-jim-harbaugh/

“I’ll tell you this, players go out there and they get hurt, and if I ever knew what plays you were running and my guys were running to the ball before the snap, I don’t know that that’s fair to the health and safety of our players or anything,” Rhule said. “So I certainly hope it’s not what everyone says it is. But I don’t know, so I can’t comment on that specifically.”

That makes so little sense. Football plays end in tackles 99% of the time. Knowing what the other team is about to do only changes WHERE on the field those tackles happen. Is it less safe for a RB to be stood up at the line by a DL compared to being slammed into from the side by a safety running full speed?

I can't imagine they would be.  I would guess the QB has a verbal call to announce the snap count he wants because nothing is more important than making sure everyone knows when the ball will be snapped.  Assuming everybody gets the same snap count from a board or signal seems really dangerous.  This is just my assumption because it seems too risky to do otherwise.

I like how he clarified the things we already know, super helpful Ryan! Anyways, the preemptive excuses from future opponents are hilarious. It's so transparently self-serving and not genuine.

Forgive me, but I still don't know how one steals signs if the opposing team has 2-3 backup QBs giving signals. How does one know the correct one? And the correct one should be changed every Qtr or drive, imo. If an opponent doesn't have something like that, then they are really stupid.

B1G coaches don't seem to know the rules or pick and choose which evidence they believe. It is unclear what video evidence Ryan Walters is talking about? Someone in the seat purchased by CS? Allegedly?

Matt Rhule wants an analyst to teach integrity to players?

I guess the media propaganda of skewing facts have worked on these two dumb asses.

They've had plenty of time to change their signs at this point. What happens to you on Saturday are your failings for being a bad program on the bad side of the conference.

Fuck this conference man. It's like this conference loves OSU being its overlord.

Also you guys got blown out by fucking Wisconsin, you're not good.

No, I am drinking, pissed off.

There once was a coach named Ryan,

No, not the one who's always cryin'.

(You know - the one that has to beg,

And the best part of him ran down Urban's leg)

But the one this Saturday that will be dyin'.

In the past 10 days, I have literally had to tailor specific explanations of this drama for my 75 year old mother, my 48 year old wife of 20+ years (non-UM grad, but generally supportive of my fandom / addiction 30+ years later...)  and 15 / 12 / 12 year old kids based on the reporting (and pretty much widely accepted as fact) of national media and acceleration of negative perspectives from facebook, insta, and tiktoc.

While I realize we want other B1G coaches 'owning' their takes, Walters' statement essentially creates "facts which do not tie to the actual known information or at least allows for wide extrapolation of "They..." to include the coaches and institution when that level of involvement is very very suspect

If there was ever a time I wanted Harbaugh to get petty and run up the score, its now, go for 2 if the game is out of reach and really embrace it these next 4 games. Worst case we some more "sources say"

I really hope the team salts the earth with the rest of the season. Run it all the way up, embarrass the other coaches, leave a scorched Earth. I'm of the belief we should run it up on everyone unless the opposing staff has a meaningful tie to the program like Bowling Green or Charlotte. Everyone already hated UM to begin with, we might as well oblige everyone and hate them all just as much. No better way to show it then smiling and scoring touchdowns and shutting teams down.

Don’t pull the starters for the rest of the season - potential injuries be damned.

Run it up, go for 2. Go for it on 4th down whenever you’re within 40 yards of the endzone…

…albeit that’s my default position on how football should be played anyway. It would be nice to see Michigan throw all sportsmanship out the window and be the douchiest team ever. Over the next 3 games - and 4 if possible.

Nah it’s more insulting to beat them by 49 with 2nd and 3rd teamers playing B1G games in November. Guys like Mullings, Hall, Morgan, El-Hadi, Gentry, Morgan, Rolder, Hill and many more will get invaluable experience that will compound over time until all that’s left is a full blown juggernaut.

I guess due process isn't a thing anymore.

Even if you think what Stallions did was terrible, you need to pick one investigative body, let them finish, and give the program a chance to respond to allegations.   This is a kangaroo court and it's bullshit.

Ryan isn't lying about the proof that tickets were purchased. I assume someone was actually using the tickets as well.

But geez Matt Rhule. The virtue signaling didn't work with Colorado. I guess he didn't learn his lesson.

Matt Rhule too, I guess

I don't enjoy this but I'll reiterate....Ryan, you're fucking Hoosier-state bumpkin of a team is going to get their shit pushed in Saturday and you know it.  Shut. The. Fuck. Up.

Your bunk ass signals for outside zone vs whatever route tree you want on our cover 3 defense on 2nd and 12....IT DOESNT MATTER.  You're fucked.  Quit coming off as an adolescent.

Screw the B10. We and Notre Dame can switch. Let them have to deal with the insufferable OSU, MSU, and PSU. We may encounter some downsides to being an independent. But 10+ years of no B10 team aside from OSU (occasionally) making it to the final four should be a wonderful middle finger to the B10.

I don't mind entertaining this idea but, when I do, I tend to expect that Ryan Day would thrive without Harbaugh in his conference. Day isn't a bad coach. He could even be great. But he clearly has limitations that can be well exploited by an elite opposing OL and a Ravens-style pass D loaded with NFL players.

Hypothetical land: If we were to leave, and if my side-assumption proves correct that USC and Oregon are merely one notch above PSU, I'd expect OSU to remain a Top 5 team.

If you want a new and lesser era for OSU, you probably need:

  1. Michigan to face them annually
  2. Michigan to beat them 60% of the time
  3. Allow enough spiritual cancer and doubt to set in that the (measurable but modest) notch that OSU has fallen since Meyer left will become a trend, rather than a plateau

Day is a fine offensively oriented coach, I guess.

Looking for a difference?   Look no further than the talent on the roster.

OSU’s talent level has probably averaged Top 3 for over a decade.

What really hurts the Buckeyes is - they are losing to a “less talented” Michigan team.   This means - one team is stronger at development - player commitment - and quality of execution.  And, it’s not them.
