Draft scene was great.  An amazing amount of people - crazy football fans from everywhere having a good time.  Parking was easy too if you planned it out (take the Qline from New Center).

Had Super Bowl rings from every year on display - no Lions ring, but they had the stand for LIX empty.  So they’re sayin there’s a chance …

Draft stage was huge - me thinks there is a little money in the NFL.

Wenner was removed from their board over his stupid comments.

It’s a blast going though the Hall of Fame - spent hours there.  The one hit wonder exhibit - could spend all day listening.

We went and left the same day on our way out east, so the Cleveland part we didn’t have to experience so much …

When they built CoAmerica …

When they built CoAmerica (as my FIL always called it) they screwed up.  They installed the scoreboard too far towards the left field foul line, blocking the lower left part of the scoreboard from view.  They were too cheap to move it then, even though they knew it was wrong before the park opened.

Can't believe with a redo of the scoreboard they wouldn't move it as originally designed.  Instead, they lopped of the blocked corner, and then matched it on the right side I guess.  Who makes these decisions??

I was at Crisler the day…

I was at Crisler the day Caitlin torched Michigan for 46 points, including three logo 3 pointers (Michigan still won!)  Just incredible to watch how seemingly effortlessly she can shoot.  Ever since, I try to watch when she plays.

Her passing is even better - miles ahead of anyone else.  If their guards are on, they can beat UConn, who have zero depth.  South Carolina I don't know - they are deep and big.

Purdue I'd like to see win (a Painter fan), but no one is taking down UConn this year IMO - they just win any way they need to.  Love to be wrong.

I’m not on board with “best coach” accolades for any coach who refuses to foul up three with little time remaining (it was 1 second left against T A&M).

Does seem like a nice enough guy, and built Houston back up from nowhere.

Happy Easter everyone

I have serious doubts about…

I have serious doubts about Rivian surviving as a company as-is.

From a supplier POV, they really don't have their act together.  Can't get production up to a level needed to increase profitability, had to change their expansion plans, etc.  Dealing with them is not good on many levels.  This is not a criticism of their vehicles BTW - just the company itself.

Have a Subaru Outback, and it is awesome - extremely capable in any weather (we ski a lot), great ground clearance, storage space for the size unmatched.  A bit utilitarian (I'd say ugly but my wife would disagree), basically zero maintenance ever, bulletproof boxer engine, excellent mileage.  Doesn't cost very much to buy one relatively speaking.

Even then, B1G was trying to…

Even then, B1G was trying to get Michigan:

from Wikipedia:

In 1949, a Detroit newspaper reported that Koceski and Chuck Ortmann were being investigated by former FBI agents hired by the Big Ten Conference to determine whether the two were actually performing services for a company that employed them. A report by the investigators concluded that Ortmann and Koceski were actually performing work, "not just punching a time clock."[9][10] In early December 1949, athletic director Fritz Crisler announced that the two players had been given a clean slate: "There was no question of reinstatement of the players. They were never in a position for such a thing as reinstatement to arise."

Great turnout - at least 10k fans.  Waited almost 3 hours, and luckily made it to the stage and met Blake, Will Johnson, Colston Loveland, Rayshaun Benny, and Mason Graham.  Zak was there, Donovan, Mikey, Rod Moore and many others.

Had to end the event before everyone got through to the stage, but the players walked through the crowds afterwards, meeting and taking selfies with everyone.  A whole lotta love, a whole lotta toys, and a whole lotta great young men.  Blake is a rockstar, but this team is special.

Spoke to Will - he said he feels fine.  Didn’t wish him good luck, as he doesn’t need it.  He agreed - just relying on hard work and preparation.  They will be ready!
