The road conditions in Michigan have improved tremendously the past decade. My buddy just visited from NC and commented how nice the roads were and better than much of Charlotte.
Don't overlook Fresno St in the first game as that will be no gimme, especially with an entirely new coaching staff and lots of new players. Hard to believe they weren't mentioned.
Bob Ufer is the reason why I'm a Michigan fan. For those of us old enough to remember, not all games were televised pre ESPN. I used to sit in my bedroom and listen to Mr. Ufer on the radio as he set the stage with enthusiasm and color commentary like no one else could. I was mesmerized and sold hook line and sinker since 1978. Living in Ann Arbor today and attending more than 100 games I reminisce and think often of that great man. Thank you for posting.
Detroit Southwestern played Plymouth Salem in 1983 I believe. I went to Canton but crossed the creek just to see Joubert. He was a human highlight reel drilling deep shots from all over, unfortunately no 3 point line back then.
