The fact that we were able to run the ball so well without a QB is very impressive. We also had guys open all day. Nothing wrong with the playcalling. I'm much less upset with the offensive coaching staff now than I was in the middle of the year.

The coaches had obviosuly been preparing for this game for a long time, and it showed.  It was a great plan. OSU just had better players at key positions.

At some point it’s on the players. Coaches gave their team a chance to win it. Certainly not perfect, but that was a solid plan as a big underdog. Had the ball with 2 mins left and a chance to win it. Couldn’t get it done. Still too many unforced mental mistakes...but the plays were there to be made.

I was a bit disappointed the D couldn’t get stops, especially when the backup came in. Felt like Brown could have done better...but still the players just weren’t getting it done.

Exactly. Right when Haskins came in, they should've bullrushed him and rattled the hell out of him. Wasn't impressed with Dr. Blitz's dialing up play calling today. Defense folded down the stretch though on the field. Haskins sat back there and did what he wanted. Just stupid.

We just got beat by their second string QB! We’ve no QB, no defense adjustments. It’s a shit show! The QB whisperer is a choke artist! I’m so sick of being a fan! We hold no one accountable for this garbage! It’s next year right? That’s the narrative correct? Well the only narrative I see is Urban embarrassing Harbaugh for the 3rd straight year! Michigan fans deserve better than this!

Look, if Speight or Peters starts, we probably win that game. Then everyone is PRAISING the staff and Michigan is preseason top 5-10 next year. Unfortunately they're both out, so we fight a close game with a far better OSU team and now it's in free fall

We will surprise a lot of people next year

This program is soft and has been since Rodriguez took dynamite to it. We lose to the MSU and Wisconsins because of it, and we can't even realistically compete with OSU. We face adversity and the great D folds and gives up a touchdown. Maybe the defense could take away the ball and generate points once in a while like real elite defenses. Make the team tough coaches!

he's point is not wrong about the "soft". I have te same feeling through out the season. Michigan play quick but relative soft defense except for the frist qrt and 3rd qrt of this game. Until we have some injuries piled up. you have to out tough and out hard hit your rivalry. The did quite good job this time. We don't have enough depth in defense to overcome injuries in defense either. We still have weak roster, to be honest.

The QB piece is missing. A healthy Peters may take care of the business this time. And it all comes back to coaching, if you look at the entire season. It comes down to OLs not able to protect their QB. We got two QB knocked constently and got knocked out of the game this season. That is on coaching.

Yeah, they lost the ability to win these kinds of games a long time ago and can't seem to get out of their own way in the big moment. Until they figure out how to do that, this is Michigan's ceiling. It's not anything we're happy with but we may just be forced to live with it until something happens for this team to change their mindset and give them a belief that they can meet the moment. Unfortunately it probably means next year is going to be pretty painful as I just don't have the confidence that the type of playmaker needed to get them over the jump is on the roster.

Did Michigan just lose to Ohio State for the 13th time in 14 years becuase it sure as fuck feels like it. The play calling was fine. However, Harbaugha and Pep are O'korns QB coach. So yeah, he was fucking terrible, but he sure as shit didn't look like anyone demanded that he step into a goddamn throw. Also, how about we run something besides strict man with a blit that empties the middle of the goddamn field. It was 20-14 when Haskins entered. And fuck Michigan fans who want to make excuses. Win the goddamn game. Win it. Fuck. It sucks.

Dudes running wide open, legit running game, and guys on defense were generally put in positions to make plays. So many wasted opportunities by the players. Hurst getting owned for the Barrett TD was emblematic of the game.

Defense: Don Brown had a good gameplan on the whole, but his refusal to spy the QB cost us dearly. It may have cost us the game. FORCE BARRETT TO PASS

Offense: Fine. O'Korn is just too awful to beat a top 10 team with

Don Brown's style has his own weakness. play majorly man to man allows other teams to keep their QB read simple and easy to game plan for. With some QB average throw, we are doomed. With refs helping out on PI, we are doom. Got to mixed with zone concept. so other team have hard time to prepare. Check with IOWA defnese. we have way better talents than them.

Coaches did everything they could. I can't expect them to have 4 QBs with game experience by the end of the season. We are not far off from OSU but I am not very confident if we can beat them ever again. I feel like something will go wrong for us. This OL did a great job and Kudos to coaches for keeping the game winnable even with 2 minutes to go. That is all you can ask for in a rivalry game with 3rd string QB.

Let's all talk about how great Harbaugh was at Stanford after an 8-4 season with losses to all key rivals. Fuck you. Let the feels out Michigan fans. Someone is coaching those QB's and it sure as shit isn't me.

But you can't win Iron Chef when you're cooking with spam. People will be bitching today about Harbaugh's record against our rivals, but he's not the one throwing to Tacopants. I don't want to bag on O'Korn, but today really showed why Peters went ahead of him.

We overachieved Harbaugh's first year and then underachieved last year and this year. We are being owned by our rivals. The QB whisperer hasn't developed a QB. I'm not stupid enough to call for Harbaugh's head (I hope no one is). This was a very young team - but if next year is another underachieving season, I bet there will be a hot seat, and rightly so. Hoke is nowhere near Harbaugh in terms of coaching success and yet after 3 years he had not only beaten MSU and OSU once each (admittedly a poor OSU team but hey better than losing it), he had also beaten ND twice. Total record at the end of 3 years was 26-13. Harbaugh is at 28-10 with a bowl game left.
