They compare Harbaugh to Hoke and RR all the time. They will all say that Harbaugh was sabotaged by Hoke’s poor recruiting and how we should be happy because we are in a better place now than we were during the worst 10 year stretch of modern Michigan football. The bar is insanely low these days.

Well, the two he was developing were on the bench, and Peters looked pretty damn good for a redshirt freshman, so that criticism is unfair. Based on the QB injuries, it is hard in retrospect to see this season playing out any differently, except for the weather against MSU.

Don't forget that the coaches apparently thought O'Korn was a better option than Peters until absolutely forced to make a move after looking like shit for almost 2 quarters against Rutgers. What were the coaches seeing in practice that made them think that was a good idea, because it certainly wasn't translating to what we saw in games.

started with a castaway qb from another school, with another transferring in as well. He was also charged with creating a masterpiece out of a QB (Speight) whom he would not have recruited. We have seen the first glimpse only of his work in Peters and you can't deny it looks like a major improvement from the others once the shackles come off. JT Barrett wouldn't look much better in a pro style offense, than JOK. It's painful because as a fan base we have been through so much turmoil, embarrassment and frustration caused by poor decision making by the administration. JH just needs a little more time. It'll be sweet because we have been loyal through thick and thin. It will also be worth the wait. That's two years in a row that M has had the chance late in the game with the OSU recruiting juggernaut. Don't tell me JH isn't the right guy. He's still using square pegs in round holes. Those edges are rounding off and that peg will fit just right. #GoBlue Disappointed, but the future is going to be great. We beat them in Cbus next year!

what the fuck are you talking about?

he turned jake rudock into an nfl quarterback.  he turned wilton goddamned speight into a functional quarterback - the first goddamned al borges-recruited qb ever - and has developed brandon peters into someone who anyone with eyes in their head would agree would have been the difference in a win over ohio state.  he couldn't save john o'korn.  that's literally the only thing he's done "wrong" with quarterbacks in three years.

won.  QB play was the difference, but there were plenty of open receivers for Michigan especially in the first half.  JOK missed more than he completed to open receivers.  Hard to put that on the coaches. Offensive line played better against a pretty good defense.

Did you watch the first quarter? We also threw to backs about 5x as much as we did all year, and finally pulled out the double screen fake TE seam play, but o'korn threw it to tacopants. I think we did a good job of emptying the playbook, but you can't miss open receivers that many times and expect to win.

Michigan lost to a RS Freshman QB making his first real appearnce with a 5th year senior at QB. Let's talk about Hoke's o-line recruting because that's what "smart" Michigan fans do.

WAIT A SECOND.....hire Bielema as an OC? When did this become the drinking thread?

Seriously, suggest realistic changes if you're going to suggest changes. Also, changes that won't create horrible lines at local BBQ establishments.

Is a special kind of stupid hot take. Wisconsin is Barry Alvarez’ baby. If you hire Bret “keg stand” Bielma, you’re not getting Wisconsin, you’re getting Arkansas.

Have you seen Arkansas?

This game was called beautifully — there were receivers running open all game. That bitter taste comes from a quarterback whose best was, predictably, rage-inducingly bad. Hire Bret Bielma? No, child, I say we fire you instead.

I made the comment earlier in the week that I thought that he was better than Barrett. The scripted plays were excellent to start the game. Coaches did all they could, we just didn't have enough horses

The refs, on the other hand, deserve their own special "Not-Snowflake, completely reasonable take" thread for the insane amount of no-calls awarded to Ohio State.

Thought it was a very good game plan. Everyone losing their shit thought we would lose by 40. A dropped pick by the D and about 6-10 wide open over throws really cost us. With that game plan, we win with Peters or Wilton.

Thought the offensive coaches had a great game plan to make a JOK led offense look semi-functional, but man he is bad at playing QB. Learned something new today though. Apparently you can tweak your offense a bit and have your redshirt freshman backup QB ready to play meaniful minutes.
