People seem to have forgotten that Clemson missed a 29 yd FG to win the game.  Couple that with the BC game and FSU makes a weak case to be #1.  Prolly why they are #4.

With that said, they do have the capability to beat anyone on any given day with the QB and receivers they have.  Booger has strong ties to Derrick Brooks, who is an FSU alum and very strong supporter of FSU.  Perhaps this is where a bit of the FSU support from Booger is coming from.

I'm also not a fan of Booger.  He is annoying AF.

Dude, none of that matters. 2014 Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech at home and needed OT to beat a .500 PSU team. Last year UGA squeaked by Kentucky and Missouri. In 2018 Clemson nearly lost to Syracuse and Texas A&M and two years before they lost to Pittsburgh and almost lost to Auburn, Troy, NC State, Florida State, and Virginia Tech. All national champions yet they lost games and won some close ones. You can't identify a team's postseason viability or current strength just based on having close games.

you're a very good egg chuck, and yeah, if i was in your shoes i'd have the same reaction.  there goes the 'we get disrespected, ohio v. the world' idea - not one that you've spouted, but of course a certain third baseman has.

Of all the years, this is the year it will be most likely that we will play OSU twice. I would love to hear your (Chuck's) honest opinion. My honest opinion is I feel more confident that we will beat you twice than in any other year of my adult life.

Ryan Day poked an already angry bear. I sense that our team and most of our fanbase wants to play you guys every weekend, beginning now. We may have thumped our chests before and claimed we wanted you twice. Now, it's different. And I think most of you guys are scared. That's why most of your fellow Buckeye fans (not you) are begging for Daddy NCAA and/or the B1G to bail you out, or insert some sort of prememptive asterisk.

And now we're underdogs. Underdogs are hungry dogs. Hungry dogs run faster.

I'll let you know my thoughts about playing twice after they've played once.  ;-)

I do like how confident y'all are about how easy a win it'll be for your boys. Ohio St has not been winning/playing like it has for the past few seasons, which makes this team a bit more deceptively good because the defense has been playing very well.

(Did you know that OSU just overtook Iowa for the nation's best defense according to FEI? ...and OSU's defense has faced four offenses more highly ranked according to FEI than anything Michigan's defense has faced, and six offenses better than the second-best FEI offense Michigan has seen?)

I think you're in for a bigger dog fight on Nov 25 than most of you realize. That's why I hate that OSU is ranked #1 because it takes a bit away from the "sneak up on you unexpectedly" factor.

This isn't about Ohio State's defense although I still think you blitz way too much which works vs bad offenses not so much vs great ones. Just like Don Brown's defense.

This is about your offensive line vs Michigan defensive front. I mean OSU has struggled to score vs every good defense they've faced so I think its extremely likely you do here too.

Obviously, it will be a great game....for us.

BC this is a reasonable take and I agree that their defense is quite good this year. I think that they will slow Michigan’s offense down more effectively than any other team Michigan will see this year. I think Knowles is a good and smart coach and he runs a complex scheme. Michigan will need to sustain longer drives in order to score on OSU this year. I do think that Michigans defense will make things difficult for McCord and Minter will do lots of things in an attempt to confuse or trick him and will probably have some success.  I don’t see OSU scoring more than 20 points on Michigan’s defense this year, so the question in my mind is whether Michigan’s offense can best that number.

Of course it will be a fight.  But football is about match-ups, and you have a middling QB, and a middling OL.  We don't.  These, and the DL, are the most important units on the field.  Our DL is every bit as good as yours and likely better. Certainly deeper.  We've had our starters out, on average, the last 18 minutes of each game.  So, much of the stats you invoke are against 3rd and 4th teamers.  Can you quote what these same stats were showing last year on Thanksgiving Day?  I doubt they were intimating 45-23.  Football is a game of matchups, units against units.  We have equal or superior units in every phase except WR.  Our QB and OL are light years beyond yours.

Now, that's nothing that a few fluke plays or turnovers can't sabotage.  We've seen it before, so I'll be chewing on my towel and yelling at the TV and never feeling safe the whole game.  But, for the first time in a generation, we are clearly the better team.

"No, FEI excludes garbage time."

Fine.  What were these same stats saying last Thanksgiving?

"Congrats in advance."

No need for the snark.  The better team doesn't always win.  But, personnel-wise, we are the better team this year.  Even if every other position was equal and you had MHJ, our QB is a playmaker. Yours is, well, certainly far, far from that.
