Am I wrong to see this as another L for Warde? Considering what other teams get away with, even 1 game is bullshit. Fuck the NCAA.

I used to think a lot of the complaint about Warde were pretty unfounded or overblown but lately he's taken some huge L's

  1. Totally botched the whole Mel Pearson mess. Got overruled by the regents in the end
  2. Botched Harbaughs extension and basically got cut out of the conversation by Santa
  3. and now a 3rd strike- cooperated with this stupid ass investigation and got multiple coaches suspended for allegedly lying about cheeseburgers in an era of football where schools like Texas A&M are writing six figure checks for pay to play.

That's 3 big, big misses in a calendar year that all reflect really poorly on Warde. I can't really think of many big wins Warde has had at this point so I just don't know what he's doing that 100 other suits couldn't do

That's one of the ripest, most unsubstantiated pieces of Limberger out there. In fact, the tidbit that they hadn't been in touch when Jim's contract was being worked out was quite likely due to the fact that they were being appropriate about handling it. . . rather than humping one another in the back of Schembechler Hall as 9/10s of the ADs and nasty-azz coaches in this country would probably be doing.

From my unprofessional interpretation, I think it is overall a “win” for Warde.

The NCAA’s main infraction they are charging Michigan/Harbaugh with is intentional deception and impediment of an official NCAA investigation, which is a “Level 1 infraction” that usually results in a minimum 6-game suspension and scholarship reduction. So Warde/Michigan was able to get the penalty reduced to just 4 overall meaningless games.

I don’t think the NCAA particularly care about the dead period violation or burgers themselves. They get their panties in a wad for not cooperating and “respecting” their governance.

Harbaugh's violations have nothing to do with paying players. Plus they happened 3 years ago when we were still pretending.

Violations were about contacting recruits outside of allowable times, having more than the allowed number of coaches and practicing outside of allowed times.

Uh, that and the whole 'Terrelle-Pryor-totaling-his-car-in-the-middle-of-the-night-into-another-female-student-athlete's-car-in-the-WHAC-parking-lot,' which he swept under the rug.  Both of those cars were write-offs.

And a litany of other things the general population knows nothing about.  Tressel was just better at hiding his scumbag-ness than Meyer.

What absolute nonsense.  They literally have coaches on tape admitting to paying off recruits among other things and they do nothing.  The level of inbalance on who they choose to punish and the teams they choose to ignore is staggering.  Total 100% bullshit.

On the bright side however I guess XM needs to send my dollar back given the bet was on Harbaugh being our HC for the first game of the season.

Toothless NCAA trying to exert what little facade of power they think they have by suspending Jim for 4 meaningless games in September.

Also pretty sure this is the same punishment Urbz got for harboring a serial domestic abuser.  So in the NCAA’s eyes the 2 offenses are equal.

Other coaches have lied and gotten busted. What makes this any different that it needs to be 4 games. That so fucked up. It will impede development of our QB, offense in general, etc. it’s ridiculous the NCAA needs to die.

The actual difference is that Harbaugh is too honest to say that he lied. If he had lied, he'd be ok with that.

But he refuses to lie and say that he lied!

So some pencil-pusher at a defunct organization got his panties in a bunch because he thought this was a pissing contest.

Yeah, both metaphorical and literal, probably.

You just know that he and John as boys were like... "1–2–3–GO!" starting at the urinal and then backing up until the first stream fell short to declare the other one the winner.

After the LSU and Tennessee stuff, it would be insane for them to try and suspend Harbaugh. Honestly, makes sense why he would have been looking at NFL jobs again after the TCU game. Why put up with this BS when other schools cheat and nothing happens to them.
