Thanks for the Big Ten Championship, 2 BTT titles, 4 Sweet 16s, an Elite Eight, and a National Championship game.

And for a gutsy as hell game against Tennessee.

It would if it were true...but it's empirically not. He's been better than he was last year, and his last handful of games have been as good as any stretch this season.

He was eviscerated by this board as a freshman and I believe sophomore. Absolute alpha dog who if we didnt have him this year we'd be NIT bound.  Hat tip to this kid.  A great program player and grew so much over his career

Very good player and seems like a great kid. I remember defending him when he started as a freshman, always had a good sense of how the game should be played and stuck with the program after Z took over.

Was hoping for a little more offense from Eli this final year, but overall a very solid career. Congrats and thank you Eli!! Go Blue!

He played a pretty gutsy game tonight, too.  Made a few huge shots to keep us within striking distance.  Unfortunately he didn't have a lot of help.

Eli has been solid and steady ever since he started early in his freshman season. He's been essential to the program's success the last several years. Thank you, and good luck, sir!

Prediction:

Eli Brooks will play some version of pro ball for a couple years. He will then start coaching college basketball at Michigan immediately or within a few years. Juwan Howard will continue Michigan's success including at least 2 championships. Eli will be named as the successor as Juwan coaches one last season in a goodbye tour, much like Coach K this year.

Eli will coach Michigan for 37 years until he's over 70. In his final year as head coach of Michigan, his starting five will include his youngest son in his special exception 6th year, three of his grandson, and the much-much younger brother of Mo and Franz Wagner [the future, science is lit]

Dynamic player. Deserves all the accolades. Made Michigan a better team in every way. He will be sorely missed. Great career. Ultimate Michigan man on the court.

I wish Eli got more help. Freshman showed big moments too big. Jones up bad down season. Him and Hunter carried this team. Reality is, we weren’t that great of a team. Lots of guys got big minutes with lots of flaws. One of my favorite players to wear the Maize and Blue. He carried us against Tennessee.

I actually got so excited when that last shot went in for him. If there is anyone who deserves their last shot to go in, in the tournament nonetheless, it is Eli Brooks

One of the best examples of "guys take time to develop" we've seen at UM.  People around here (including myself) thought he was a wasted scholarship a couple years ago and instead he turned into the winningest player in team history.  Congrats to him.

Fought his ass off tonight. Second half wasn’t just the shotmaking, had some incredible defensive plays. Honestly wanted Michigan to win this game for him more than anything.

Whole team played so damn hard. Frustrating for us but has to really hurt for them.

We all owe Eli a beer. He’s become arguably my favorite M basketball player next to X. Hard for him to go out like this but he sure as hell went out with effort.
