It definitely goes against the spirit of the game, but mix in alcohol, drugs, slow play, hitting into players/greens, egos and testosterone and you have a recipe for alot confrontations which can lead to fights. Ask anyone who works at a public course and they will tell you how often the cops are called.
My dad actually told me that in the early 90s that to assume everyone has a gun. Even back then when it wasn't full wild wild west like it is now. That message suck in with me as I dont engage with anyone especially on the road, now my wife on the other hand .... 🤣
Skiles was as fierce as they come. I still remember as a kid trying to adjust the TV antenna watching MSU-Kansas sweet 16 game, Skiles had a monster game.
What were the odds on Rahm winning? I predicted him to win it as well with all my buddies but of course I didn't put money where my mouth is unfortunately.
It feels like we should be ahead of OSU but it just proves that Harbaugh, even though finally getting over the hurdle of beating OSU, twice, people still have their doubts of him in big games. I think beating TCU would of changed these odds significantly.
It's actually refreshing to see someone trying to gain experience instead of instant unqualified promotions to be honest. I'm just not use to seeing it anymore.
I also noticed it yesterday during the game. I didn't realize he had ALS. What a remarkable young man to still coach and live his life to the fullest. True courage and inspiration.

What sucks the most about the last couple years is our early departure guys didn't even have helluva seasons. Nothing to go down in the folklore of Michigan basketball. Not even a signature moment.
Guy took over and won a championship during a difficult time for the program. He has many good D1 prospects on his team, with a little savvy he could leverage a better job. Hell, teams are hiring players moms and sisters now a days. This isn't the days of John Beilein climbing the ladder every step until you become head coach.
Surprised he couldn't leverage into a better job, such as an assistant coach at a D1 program. In today's world of recruiting you would think he could of packaged himself a better job than going small town D2.
Anyone who knows college basketball knew MSU had a really good chance to win this game. Marquette is 2023 version of Shaka's VCU. Just wear them down they will beat themselves.
I keep thinking Baker will break out of his slump any game now, and then the season is over. Toledo was nice. But frustrating because he has a nice offensive bag of tricks except he sucks at the most important part, which is making shots.
My biggest problem with Juwan is his stubborn lineups. He often plays struggling players too many minutes many times when their backup is playing better.
I honestly didn't watch yesterday's game very closely until the final minutes. I thought YoYo looked pretty comfortable when he played. He has size and appears to be athletic. I thought offensively he made some good passes, especially his lob feed to HD in traffic for the easy bucket. Maybe the best feed to HD I've seen from anyone on this team. But anyways my point is why was TWill given so many minutes over YoYo? Is YoYo that bad on defense? Maybe I'm in the minority but YoYo passes the eye test from me just needs more minutes and experience. Why didn't we see him all year? I mean really Cheddar and TWill?
I dont blame him and wish him all the best. While he wasn't going to be a huge impact this year, he did show some potential and athleticism. Maybe he could of been given a few more minutes. Juwan runs a very stubborn lineup, and doesn't belive in making many changes during the season, or even in game. Maybe he should transfer to VCU, it has worked out well for former Michigan 4 stars.
I'm beat up so bad as a Michigan hoops fan that I'm not even worried about what MSU does this year. Years past I would sweat MSU games and get all stressed out. However it does feel good knowing that sure they could beat Marquette, but I know MSU team sucks and they are not a threat.
Reed is this years Frankie Collins in that he could of seen some more playing time considering the guys who are getting the bulk of the minutes. Hope he doesn't play us like Frankie did.
It's honestly because he became buddies with LeBron. In a sense that got him verified and certified. That's how the league works. And Bron is the league. Also didn't hurt getting the same from Pat Riley and Eric Spoelstra.
The problem with hiring a former player/legend of the program is you tend to give them more time. Also firing a former fab 5 player in this day and age could set off a firestorm. I do think he should be given 1 more season. But I honestly don't expect him to become a good head coach over night. Coaching isn't easy and it's not for everyone. He literally is not trained nor experienced for this position. I agree he's a decent recruiter but horrible at solving the pieces to the puzzle.

I think that's a weak take. UCONN is blowing the doors off everyone they play. I see a pretty damn good basketball team who is well coached.
