I'll miss him. He hit a few huge 3s in this game to keep us close
Retire Brooks’ jersey!!!
Great career. Wish it didn’t have to end like it did tonight.
One of the finest to ever do it at Michigan in so many ways. Thank you, Eli.
He rebounded from a shaky start to have a great, memorable career.
Very disappointing year from Brooks.
He regressed.
Fuck off.
Truth hurts?

It would if it were true...but it's empirically not. He's been better than he was last year, and his last handful of games have been as good as any stretch this season.

choose to remember him that way, we'll go a different direction.
Bolivia man. F*** off. Respectfully. Little supporting cast this year.
Without him this team has 11 wins.
There are some bad takes on this board frequently, but “bad” is generous in your case. That’s just 💩

Don't shit on a kid that has done for the University than you have.
I found it hard to believe that such an obvious troll could have lasted here that long. I only went back about a month or two in his history and he still looked pretty trollish. I have to assume that he used to be normal but at some point crossed over to the dark side.
If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.
Better to be thought the fool, than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.
Shut up.
Absolutely. This team punched above its weight in the tournament--Dickinson and Brooks carried them.
The professor taught us fans a lot of lessons during his run. Cheers Eli and good luck with your future endeavors.
He was eviscerated by this board as a freshman and I believe sophomore. Absolute alpha dog who if we didnt have him this year we'd be NIT bound. Hat tip to this kid. A great program player and grew so much over his career

Very good player and seems like a great kid. I remember defending him when he started as a freshman, always had a good sense of how the game should be played and stuck with the program after Z took over.
Was hoping for a little more offense from Eli this final year, but overall a very solid career. Congrats and thank you Eli!! Go Blue!
Probably CBI (but a declined bid).
Heart of a champion.
He played a pretty gutsy game tonight, too. Made a few huge shots to keep us within striking distance. Unfortunately he didn't have a lot of help.
Eli went out on his shield there in the second half. Nothing but respect for him, his game and his legacy at UM.
Eli has been solid and steady ever since he started early in his freshman season. He's been essential to the program's success the last several years. Thank you, and good luck, sir!
Eli Brooks. Thank you.
Great career! I'm happy he went out playing his best basketball. Thanks for all the great moments Eli
Eli has reached Novak status of Michigan basketball legends.
Prediction:
Eli Brooks will play some version of pro ball for a couple years. He will then start coaching college basketball at Michigan immediately or within a few years. Juwan Howard will continue Michigan's success including at least 2 championships. Eli will be named as the successor as Juwan coaches one last season in a goodbye tour, much like Coach K this year.
Eli will coach Michigan for 37 years until he's over 70. In his final year as head coach of Michigan, his starting five will include his youngest son in his special exception 6th year, three of his grandson, and the much-much younger brother of Mo and Franz Wagner [the future, science is lit]
Super on point. Now give Marty and Doc their 2035 Sports Almanac back!
Hell of a career. Glad he stayed. Will always think fondly of his playing time.
Agreed. I'm bet he's glad he stayed as well.
All-time leader in games. All-time leader in wins. Multi-year captain. Legend of legends.
Dynamic player. Deserves all the accolades. Made Michigan a better team in every way. He will be sorely missed. Great career. Ultimate Michigan man on the court.
I wish Eli got more help. Freshman showed big moments too big. Jones up bad down season. Him and Hunter carried this team. Reality is, we weren’t that great of a team. Lots of guys got big minutes with lots of flaws. One of my favorite players to wear the Maize and Blue. He carried us against Tennessee.
That's a hell of a resume. Thank you, Eli!
Dude played his freaking heart out. All guts and glue to this team. Going to miss his leadership. BIG TIME. Thank you, Eli! Thank you!
"Hey Eli!!!
Yeah, you---
---thank you."
Eli is easily one of my favorite Michigan basketball players of all time. Dude gave it all he had, and then some.
5 Sweet 16s for Eli? Or is it 4 because of the vacated 2020?

Glad you posted this. Eli is a baller. So thankful for that man and this team!!!

Consummate program guy. Look forward to seeing him in the maize and blue again in 20 years. Sitting in the head chair.

Agree! Role players who were capable of winning games for you. Every championship team needs guys like this.

I actually got so excited when that last shot went in for him. If there is anyone who deserves their last shot to go in, in the tournament nonetheless, it is Eli Brooks

One of the best examples of "guys take time to develop" we've seen at UM. People around here (including myself) thought he was a wasted scholarship a couple years ago and instead he turned into the winningest player in team history. Congrats to him.

If Eli doesn’t want to pursue an overseas career, he better be the lead GA the second he wants to be

Fought his ass off tonight. Second half wasn’t just the shotmaking, had some incredible defensive plays. Honestly wanted Michigan to win this game for him more than anything.
Whole team played so damn hard. Frustrating for us but has to really hurt for them.

Gave the program everything he had. Has a helluva future as a coach whenever he's ready.

The Book of Eli!
What a great career.
Winning in college requires veterans like him.

We all owe Eli a beer. He’s become arguably my favorite M basketball player next to X. Hard for him to go out like this but he sure as hell went out with effort.
