Wolverines shining bright at the draft. Watching JH sing the victors yesterday was classic. Let’s keep that going today. Go Blue!

The pineapple refresher at Starbucks is good if you order it with 🌶️ powder.
What is going on with spicy drinks? They're everywhere suddenly. Used to be just the cayenne lemonade at the local pizza place, now Starbucks?
What a world.
I don't do social media so I'm not sure if that's a factor. Regardless, it's like a jalapeno margarita without the booze. I will be spiking the next one.

Hoping to stop in for a bit before the Tiger’s game today. I’ll do my part to raise the attendance over the previous NFL draft record.

I'm gonna take a nap until the Lions pick again.

Liking the days-long positive image of downtown Detroit. Growing up, Detroit was a place to avoid out of terror. May a long-term revival be taking place.

What I hate: that the Lions have only had two draft picks so far and that we have to wait today until round 5 for another.
I've been hoping that Detroit somehow puts together a package that includes a 2025 pick in order to obtain another 2024 4th or 5th rounder. If that doesn't happen, the Lions almost have to bat 1.000 on their picks and then find a few UDFA gems.

Lions are drafting for depth at this point. I would prefer they not trade 2025 picks because any hole they have now can be addressed through a trade.(WR)
They can still get a quality G in the 5th-6th rounds to develop. I was really hoping for Zinter. Alas…

The future is both now and the next couple seasons before the salary cap and other considerations start chipping away when 2nd contract time arrives. Lions are in need of starters and depth, both of which can still be found in the middle rounds.
The cap isn’t static.
They aren’t getting starters this late in the draft with this roster.
...thus the "and other considerations" I mentioned.
Lions ain’t gonna need all of the 9 or ten picks they have in ‘25.
Looks like Brad listened to you:
- Lions get: Nos. 132, 210; Eagles get: Nos. 164, 201, 2025 fourth-round pick
- Lions get: No. 126; Jets get: 2025 third-round pick

Shoutout to Brian for calling the Eboigbe pick in the Bama UFR.
April 27th, 2024 at 12:42 PM ^
Ya just saw this, was pretty funny. They've now picked Notre Dame, Georgia, Michigan, Alabama players. Wonder if that "big name school, high familiarity" trend will continue (yes, Michigan didn't play ND, and barely played against McConkey, but thats pretty close.)
Just easier to predict performance based on competition level. At those top programs you assume the starters are beating out good players and practicing against good players every day, and then it's really easy to get a lot of tape on them and evaluations by coaches who are very familiar with NFL talent benchmarks.

I think Detroit needs 100,000 to show up to officially break the attendance record. Show up and show out!

Eric All to the Bengals.

Spartie fanboys everywhere right now : "...but but but you can't claim All as a Michigan draft pick!"
April 27th, 2024 at 12:56 PM ^
how does All get drafted before Barner?? Injury prone and not nearly as good of a blocker.
April 27th, 2024 at 12:57 PM ^
Higher ceiling? Drafting on potential?
That itself explains it right? Receiving capability is valued higher on TEs, probably by a lot. I imagine if Barner's still available later (6 or 7) Chargers will take him.
To Seattle at 121 lol
Mike Macdonald not waiting to give Harbaugh another shot :)
Finally some Whisky beef picked in this draft. Indy taking a Badger OL.
I can't believe teams are sleeping on AJ Barner. I'd take him just as a blocker.
Also, the RB from notre dame is still available. That dude is a brick house.
And is Mike Barrett too small for the NFL? Can't believe he's slipping behind some of these other LBs.
Edit: Whelp there goes Barner to SEA! Good landing spot for him.
Barrett is going to be a special teams ace for somebody, probably in the 6th though
AJ Barner to the Seahawks.
Perfect fit. Seattle needed a TE badly.
Seahawks get a good one in Barner. Great example for future potential transfers to Michigan.
PUNTER! PUNTING IS WINNING! Lol.
Great first line from Yahoo sports about the pick
"At least the Chicago Bears had plenty of film on Iowa punter Tory Taylor."
Punting is winning at Iowa.
Awesome that All and Barner were taken before Cade Stover.
There's the extra pick I really wanted for the Detroit Loins!
Thanks to the J-E-T-S , J-E-T-S, jets-jets-jets!
The Jets are, and have always been, a rat-ass, half-baked operation.
Gotta say, I'm completely happy with all the Giants' picks. They're filling their many needs with excellent/solid talent.
Wow, Detroit selects a truly MASSIVE individual.
