This bit makes me laugh every time.  Some of the MgoHumor staples like the selling shirts in Ohio have gotten pretty stale (to me anyways) but the Mike Jones routine always gets to me.

Maybe because I remember that exchange as it happened over10 years ago.

According to the Athletic, Connor Essegian is currently the number 45 prospect in the transfer portal. The article references the back injury he suffered early in the season for his steep decline from his freshman year when he was an All-Freshman selection. We of course remember him as a freshman torching Michigan while being subjected to pictures of him in Michigan gear at Crisler as a kid during the broadcast.

I'm sure Dusty and staff are doing their homework on each potential transfer. Seems like it might be a red flag that Essegian is a sophomore and not a freshman or grad transfer. Might lose too many credits in the transfer.

There might be very specific cases where the player does not care about losing credits.  Essegian is not going to be a NBA prospect, especially not any time soon.  He can get a Michigan degree if he enrolls and sticks around for three years.

But I of course have no specific information or knowledge related to Essegian.

I think that Tony Perkins would be a better pull from the portal.  Veteran PG who averaged

double figures in PPG last season and could mentor the incoming frosh (if they remain committed).

I'm going full-William Carlos Williams on this.

I think we can get this pubbed in The New Yorker. And, hey, the kid does sound like a baller.

Was going to let you off with a thread title warning but seeing how you're already minus 40+, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to join the mob and downvote. I only get so many chances to break out the torch & pitchfork, and given that I paid for these things, I'm gonna use 'em.
