Chaundeeeeee Appreciation thread

Submitted by MaineGoBlue on March 22nd, 2021 at 10:07 PM

Came on here to chime in and couldn’t believe there wasn’t a thread created yet for Chaundee!  Best game as a Wolverine, hands down.  He was “Livers” tonight and then some.  Howard stuck him on Smart in the second half and he locked down on defense.  Sure Smart got points, but he cut off passing lanes and LSU looked lost with 15 left on the shot clock when a shot wasn’t put up yet.  Not to mention, he went 6-6 from the line (60something% in the year).  Oh and not to mention, most points in a Michigan uni.  Chaundee was a BEAST tonight!

I wonder if that has something to do with his reputation (at Wake Forest) of being a sub-par perimeter shooter and he's likely been trying to dispel that notion all season.  Likely to try to improve his NBA stock.  He's a very good athlete and has shot the ball well for most of the season.  He'd be a great 3 and D player for a team in the 2nd round or if he goes undrafted.  I hope the Pistons snatch him up after the season.

That's just me thinking out loud.  Don't mistake my hypothesis for reality.

around here we'd say, 'weight room!!!'

love that he had such a special game in a clutch situation.

and while we're at it, b. johns had a very nice game, too.  did lots more right than wrong.  him playing regularly is bringing out the 'mr. michigan basketball' player we all hoped for.  excellent.  keep it rolling.  beat FSU!

Did you see when Eli went down?  Chaundee brought the ball past the half court line he stood there and waited for the ref to stop the game.  Then he immediately jogged down to check on him.  I don't think anyone else on the team made that kind of effort to make sure his brother was alright.  A true leader in every sense of the word.  No wonder he's one of the most beloved players on the team.

I think it’s simple. He plays well we move on. He doesn’t, we probably lose. That open jumper he hit when he checked in was so huge. He’s a feast of famine dude, we hadn’t seen good Brown in several games. He’s the difference maker.

The stat was that the team was plus 19 when Brown was on the floor. Talk about an instant impact player. I thought John’s played a great game as well.

He was unreal.

And beyond the huge scoring night - when we needed a board, a stop, and the loose ball on the floor - Chaundee got it.  He was everywhere.

What an amazing transfer from Wake Forest.  Thanka for coming and being an awesome clutch and team player, Chaundee.

Go Blue!!!!

Not sure if it is super well known but he was a top 40 recruit to wake forest out of high school...I only recently saw that! So happy how it has worked out for him (and michigan!).

Happy for Chaundee. Dude put in his time at a crappy Wake program and now he's finally having some fun and getting to see some rewards for his work. His contributions off the bench have been huge this year.

Don't know what his final stat was in the particular category, but in the final few minutes of the broadcast Michigan was +21 for the night when Chaundee was on the floor; I believe we were up 10 at the moment.

Tonight anyway, Chaundee was The Michigan Difference.

Chaudee rose to the occasion, and then some, really ascending over LSU in second half.  Couldn't be happier for him.  Baller with a well earned great memories this season, especially tonight.

Reminds of Lil Jon saying “shawwty” in Lovers & Friends.

”Please tell your lovers and friends, that Eli, Brown, and Hunter has to do it again”

What a great addition.. Hard nose ,  do it all player who took on a 6th man roll and became a pivotal member to the 2020 big ten conference champions. This performance was well deserved.   Go Blue

I believe they have moved on from the big ten Conf. Champs and now in negotiations with sister jean on a shared Illinois state championship. They have a fair case. Loyola -chicago prior to any postseason play, played 30 games where Illinois played 31.
