OSU is undefeated this offseason. Wow, hats off to them. If OSU continues to defeat all opposing (read: none) teams this offseason, they are going to enter next season undefeated. This could be a turning point for OSU. After losing to Michigan and scoring three points in their bowl game, they look to start next season with zero wins and losses. Wow. Hopefully Michigan can sell some jerseys in Ohio and turn the tide on the rivalry

I know as a Michigan guy I should follow the lead of everyone here. But I have to say it. The dudes they’re bringing in now have played great football. They’re not just high school kids who are highly ranked and need developed. These guys have already proven to be elite. Ohio lost to Georgia, who was absolutely elite, on a field goal that they should have hit. Otherwise Day has lost to the current national champion on the road by 6. And another great playoff caliber Michigan team. This will be his most talented group yet with the guys they convinced to come back and he’s been that close so far. I know it’s easy to say they have choked and everything else.

But this team will be elite and will make the playoffs. Howard is a solid option behind what should be their one small weakness. With him being mobile, it’ll be harder to get after him. If a team has a chance of beating them, they’ll have to create turnovers and have an elite defensive line. Luckily Michigan has the players to do that, but they’ll be on the road. This will be one of the most hostile years at Columbus is a longggggg time. I’m not crowning them the champs before the season even starts, but at this point they’ll easily be the betting favorites, as they should be.

Well, we heard that over and over in 2022. It's not like they can yell louder or hate us more. Plus, with our schedule next year we will most definitely be more battle tested than OSU.

Anyway, IMO, Howard is not going to be a difference maker. He performed slightly worse than McCord and was facing B12 defenses that were nothing special. And next year he's going to be doing it behind the same OL that Missouri just abused.

I don’t think Howard is a “difference maker” per se. Just that he’ll get himself out of some trouble with his mobility thus helping mask their biggest weakness. I don’t think he’ll be a world beater, but I do think he brings something to the table that McCord didn’t. Not sure he’ll be “better” but definitely different in a way that could mask a problem. Again, the way to beat that is to have an elite defensive line. Which Michigan will have. But they’re going to be legit.

OSU basically saying they are paying for players on blast, but the NCAA is more interested in Harbaugh not admitting he paid for hamburgers for a couple of kids who were already commited.

What a world we live in

We have to hope that team chemistry and the enviousness of nil money and taking guys spots will lead to dissaray in that locker room. Day is not a leader of men and he could very well have a mutiny if guys only play for themselves and their nil money.

on paper nobody should beat them but there looks to be real chances of meltdowns….you got new coaches, new philosophy of running the ball, still nothing on OL and then got a few guys taking all yhe money from the rest of team in downs, 5* freshman and the saying qb. It will be typical tough team buckeye when it implodes….

football gods will not allow you to buy a championship with blood money

One thing I will say is that I don't see the character in these transfer portal guys that I saw in MHJ.  He truly loves being a Buckeye.  Of course the lure of the NFL beat out coming back to OSU, but even that took a while for him to decide.  If Sayin commits, Downs, the RB from Ole Miss and all these guys who opted to come back instead of going to the NFL are probably getting better NIL money than any other option they had, so one can absolutely believe they will be playing for themselves instead of the team.

Really wish Harbaugh would stay so we be set with a head coach going into next year.  That may vamp up Michigan's transfer portal guys.

Not good but expected if he entered the portal. He barely chose Bama over OSU the first time and OSU is in full panic mode throwing bags at everyone to get over the hump.

I just can't be bothered to freak out for a while given that we just won a National Championship 2 weeks ago.

Wow - was probably their 2nd best defensive player as a true freshman and 2 years of eligibility.  Yikes.

Thank god we got the NC this year.

The scary part with regards to OSU getting some of these guys is that they still have 2-4 years of elgibity left.  If they get Sayin, then that is another guy.  They are not just going all in on next year, they are positioning a possible dynasty over there.  Whether it works or not will be seen.

Yeah, whatever.  Cryin Ryan is doing the only thing he knows how to do to try and beat Michigan.  Stuff the roster with more mercenary 5 stars, instead of just coaching the players better.

Stop worrying about osu.  They want to move the narrative as fast as possible to next season. We just won the national championship.  Don’t rush it.  Bask in its glory.  Does it really matter to you if we randomly do start sucking ass? It shouldn’t.  We did the thing.  It’s done. Were good.

Appears Day is leaking confidence at the seams with the BOB hire.  Very surprised their AD did not take a longer look at Vrabel.  Throwing all the chips in for NC or bust in 2024.  What a wonderful day that would be if/when they do not take home the NC!

After the little flurry of QBs at the beginning of the portal window, it seems like every friggin major transfer has ended up at OSU. Unreal. We all knew where Downs was going to end up. Its also clear why they wanted TAMU's AD.

Congrats and proving what a sham major college athletics are becoming. Cant recruit/develop? Just buy 'em I guess.

There are quite a few people on this board who are basking a bit too much in the glory of this National Championship. It was great but it's over. Everyone else is gearing up to knock us down a couple of pegs and I don't care how good this one felt, getting kicked around next year will suck. Is anyone from Georgia sitting around basking saying, we won two in a row and have one-loss in the last three years, let's sit back and bask in that glow? No, Michigan instituted a Georgia drill simply because we were tired of losing.

This Harbaugh situation needs an answer, either stay or go but do something so that the team can move forward.

Some work needs to be done with NIL. We don't have to shop like a drunk with Daddy's credit card, but we should be able to land at least one 5-star type high demand position player.
