Jay had his worst game as a special teams coach in the rose bowl and could have cost the natty. They played awful the whole game and lucky to overcome it. The fact he could never develop a real punt returner all season who wouldn’t let the ball drop and roll every time was horrific.
This guy has been overrated since he’s been here. His work with rbs was bad as was his decision to move haskins to lb only to call him back when injuries and fumbles became an issue. Jay is lucky to be on this team.

I was at rose bowl and will never forget the feeling on that glorious day. Especially on the last drive that tied up the game and sent it to overtime. Those there will tell you it felt as if everything was suspended in time as they marched down the field starting with the 4th down do or die pass play to corum.
the passes to wilson were equally stunning. In that moment you could just feel something magical taking place that none of us will ever forget. The aura in the air when the game was on the line was something we may never witness again. It was special. The crowd anticipation was so thick it was scary. The championship was won that night and Michigan will forever live in glory!

Seems with san diego flying in these other guys for interviews (vrabel) there are 2 possibilities:
1) they didn’t like jim’s interview and got scared of his personality as so many other nfl orgs and moved tf on
