He has completely re-invested in the Offensive Line, which is something Detroit hasn't done well in 30+ years. Blount is a good specialist back in short yardage situations, but I don't think he can handle 25+ carries a game, and he's not a real pass catching threat. Johnson does a lot of things well, and there was a serious run on running backs, so I don't really believe he wasn't in high demand.

Are we already forgetting that Bob Quinn netted us an All-Pro returner in the 6th round last year, as well as Kenny Golladay in the 3rd? Jarrad Davis was a good linebacker as a rookie.

In case you thought that was a fluke, he netted a pretty damn good end in Anthony Zettel late in 2016, and also got Taylor Decker, AShawn Robinson, Graham Glasgow, and Miles Killebrew who are all legit pieces on a good team. Bob Quinn has done exceptionally well in the draft so far, and I'm willing to trust that he's getting his guys.

EDIT: Not to mention the report from Adam Schefter that Washington was literally going to take Kerryon Johnson with the very next pick/

medical report must have real red-flag issues. Feel bad for Mo, someone is going to steal his money. He will play and dominate thru s shitty 4 year contract and then get paid decently.

It is funny seeing the NFL's copycat nature apply to Hurst. It seems like every staff heard someone else say they are worried about Hurst's seemingly fine heart issue, and so they are passing on him despite actual evidence that it's not as big a deal. I guess we'll see, but this feels like a massive misstep by the NFL, not some thoughtful analysis by thee guys.

Mayock just addressed the Hurst situation, said every team's he's talked to has Hurst completely off their board due to the Heart Issue, wonder if he even gets drafted.

BTW, there's no way he goes undrafted, because at the back end of the draft teams are practically picking names out of a hat. Someone will take him, but it will be a lot later than normal, and it will be a team that figured he'd never drop that far.

I hope he has a healthy career and devours QBs from every team that passed on him.

Johnson is a tough runner. The Lions will have a thunder and thunder attack with him an Blount.

Feel terrible for Mo...

not super suprised though; the NFL is a business and is risk adverse....add in group think and i can see how Mo has dropped... in their mind, the picks have value associated with them and right now Mo's heart condition is a huge drag on his value...

i think that whomever drafts him (and i do believe he does get drafted) will get the steal of the draft when you compare pick value vs production...

hope Mo doesn't have to wait too much longer

he would have been off the board in lat round 1. Now no where in the discussion in round 3 ? Yikes. Feel so bad for Mo as someone is torpedoed his draft stock.
