Your "plays" resulted in very contested or out of rhythm shots. Playing Wagner one on one without help defense resulted in many easy drives or fouls without a real adjustment. I'm not saying the sky is falling but anyone with basketball sense saw the mistakes. Learn from them and move on but don't pretend they didn't happen.
Playing calling wasn't there, stagnant offense, no adjustments on defense which allowed easy drive after easy drive and bad substitutions. Do you need anymore evidence of being outcoached?
Horizontal. Seams are easier (less ladders), and less noticable to the eye. It also gives more strength to the wall. Finally if you have a crooked stud you don't have to put a doubler on it.
