Yeah, people acting like we…

Yeah, people acting like we are playing 2020 Alabama. Michigan is a far better team.

I know Talking Stick casino…

I know Talking Stick casino has a NYE party (ticketed event). Its in Scottsdale. The stadium also has a entertainment district right outside of it so I expect a lot of fans to go to the bars there to watch the next CFP game that starts after the Michigan game.

You respond to that like I…

You respond to that like I was trashing him. I was doing the opposite. He clearly thought he would be competing for the starting spot or else he would not be transfering. Not sure why you have to act like that was a negative statement

Bell should be back with his…

Bell should be back with his brother joining the team also Wilson. Maybe CJ as well. You also have a 4 star (Redshirt Freshmen?) Tyler Morris top 25 WR in his class, 4 star (Redshirt Freshmen?)Darrius Clemons who was the top 25 WR in his class and 4 star junior Christian Dixon. Granted these guys need to step up but the talent is there. Even with Andrel leaving we are fine. Its a fair statement to say we are loaded in that area

I was always high on Bowman…

I was always high on Bowman and think he can start on a lot of teams, just not sure why he ever transfered to Michigan. Just never made any sense

If he wants to be soft about…

If he wants to be soft about how Michigan's medical staff treated him, maybe Ohio State would be a good fit. Im thankful for what he did here, but I don't like taking parting shots at the program

For what its worth, PFF…

For what its worth, PFF rates him higher in 2022 than they did in 2021. Im guessing a lot of double/scheme as well. His grades on PFF are elite

PFF rates this guy very high…

PFF rates this guy very high, #79 DE in CFB and Elite pass rushing skills. This would be a very big get. He would make a massive impact and could likely be the star of the defense and one of the best DE's in CFB next season. He  has 12.5 sacks a year ago. No way to state how major of a get Josaiah Stewart would be.

It was a tweet, and if…

It was a tweet, and if anyone read the next tweet by the same guy, he said that he might have been wrong about that after learning more info.

To be fair, I don't know how…

To be fair, I don't know how much Stroud or JSN elevate their profile. They will already be top picks. Of anything facing UGA and Michigan again would lower their stock

Would be a bad look but I…

Would be a bad look but I think NFL teams wouldn't really care. Not much upside, if he can't scramble now its who he is (at least for this season). So either risk getting hurt facing potentially two of the best defenses in the nation or risk losing draft stock. Not much upside. Also the fanbase has turned against him. Go look at any OSU twitter or message board, apparently a month ago he was a "Heisman" but after losing to UM a second time "he was trash and they knew it all along". This isn't a few OSU fan's saying this but a large portion of them.

Not only that but he had to…

Not only that but he had to earn it on the field. Every season is a new season, Harbaugh made the comp. public and Cade just looked horrible. He didn't even make a case tbh. Harbaugh was 100% conflicted with these guys, I think he knew JJ had more talent but you could tell he loved Cade and saw a lot of himself in Cade. I think if Cade played decently well in those games Harbaugh would have went with Cade.

I hate to trash players and…

I hate to trash players and I am forever grateful for All and Cade. They have every right to transfer, who am I to tell a young adult what they should do with their life. But not going to lie I am upset at the way they handled it. Cade calling out the QB comp, and leaving before the B10 CCG, All with a parting shot.

That is the biggest X factor…

That is the biggest X factor for TCU imo. Luckily we can simulate it with JJ in practice, but practice and executing in the game are two different things.

No thats based off of SP+ on…

No thats based off of SP+ on ESPN. Its behind an ESPN+ paywall but those are the numbers

Yes that was post CFP, pre…

Yes that was post CFP, pre CFB after CCG it was 24.0 in 2021 then dropped to 23.4 after UGA. 2022 Michigan is 33.5, so 2022 is still a 9 point favorite on a neutral field over 2021. The 2022 team simply has more efficient. 2021 Michigan struggled a bit in games, Penn State, Rutgers, Nebraska, parts of the NW game. This team largely outside of Illinois (where a bunch of starters were out) and Maryland hasn't had many issues. For me personally the Illinois game is the only game this year where I thought we might lose.

Yeah, PFF #'s can be strange…

Yeah, PFF #'s can be strange but they tend to be strong overall. Sometimes you can see a lot of guys with great stats rated low, because while they are producing in big moments, on a down to down basis they might be not doing as well.

The average talent level is not something PFF gives you. They do give you a team overall. The average talent level is me taking all the starters rankings and averaging them out.

I took a look at OSU and UGA and the results are very surprising. Team Talent Avg: Michigan (137) Ohio State (201) UGA (209) TCU (218). Remember lower is better, and the closer to 100 is better. Michigan players have simply been performing better on the field as a team than UGA and OSU according to PFF. Take that for what you will.

UGA has an OFF PFF Average of 149.8 and Ohio State has and Offense Avg of 78.78 (which is insane btw).

This is what is surprising to me. UGA only has two players in the PFF top 100, so for all the talk about their defense PFF doesn't agree. Most of their players are in the 150-350 range. Ohio State has 4 players in the top 100 on defense and Michigan has 7. The PFF defense averages: OSU (269.8) UGA (323.3) Michigan (111).

If you want the PFF team overalls (their team grades): OSU is #1 with a grade of 95.6, Michigan is #3 with a grade of 94.4, UGA is #5 with a grade of 93.9 and TCU is #9 with a grade of 88.

So I did a bit of research: …

So I did a bit of research:

TCU

Total Offense: #21

Passing Offense: #40

Yards Per Completion: #23

Rushing Offense:#19

Yards Per Rush Attempt: #15

Total Defense:#72

Running Defense: #66

Yards per Rush Attempt: #62

Passing Defense: #79

Completion % Def: #10

Opponent Yards per Completion: #88

TCU has played 3 Top 50 Defenses (K State 2x, Texas and then Iowa State)

According to their average offense, they underperformed in the Texas and Iowa State games despite the scores. They were well under their average output. They did about avg vs K State #50 in total offense.

Despite scoring 62 points (due to Iowa State mistakes), the has 100 yards less in total offense than average. Iowa State is the best defense they faced at #4 in total defense.

TCU has faced one top 50 passing defense. This is also Iowa State (#6) they threw for 212 yards well below their average of 273

TCU has faced two Top 50 Rushing Defenses, they had 115 and 131 yards in each game for an average of 4.4 Yards per Carry. They normally average 200 Rushing yards and 5.3 YPC

The TCU defense has faced 8 top 50 offenses (9 if you count K State twice). In 3 of those games they held the team to below their average output. In 4 of them they held them to around their average output and in two of the games they allowed offenses to exceed their average output. They are allowing 400 total yards of offenses on average to Top 50 offenses. If you exclude the Texas game (which is an anomaly) they allow 425 yards of offense.

So their defense is not great to say the least, but here is where it really falls off:

TCU has faced 6 Top 50 rushing offenses. In those games against running backs (I excluded WR and QB runs), they have allowed 4.75 Y/C, 5.42 Y/C, 6.35 Y/C, 2.42 Y/C, 5.82 Y/C, 8 Y/C. Horrible numbers if you exclude the Texas game. On average they are allowing 5.46 Y/C vs Top 50 rushing teams. Over 6 yards per carry if you exclude the Texas game. Also a note, they allowed 7.96 Y/C to Iowa State, Iowa State is the #117th worst rushing offense in the nation. None of these B12 teams have an O-line like Michigan has imo.

They have some playmakers

Exactly. Comparison is the…

Exactly. Comparison is the thief of joy. Enjoy the moment, it took a long time to get here and im not going to let who we might potentially face or not face ruin anything. Want to win a natty, you have to beat the teams in front of you, whether that is TCU or OSU, its still the same. 2 more wins!

Yeah, the rumors started…

Yeah, the rumors started during the Rutgers game. I can't imagine he wouldn't be good by the CFP even if it took a little longer. Thats 8 whole weeks. Corum is a big blow but I think we have an elite backup in Edwards. The worry comes from the depth. Stokes needs to step up big time.

Not to mention, its crazy to…

Not to mention, its crazy to think that you are losing a Heisman level player and are likely making a step up with Edwards. I think Edwards is going to be the best running back this program has ever seen and maybe one of its best players ever. He is a do it all back.

Edwards is the #14 running back in the nation according to PFF, and that is at a backup. So our back up is better than 90% of the FBS starters. He will without a doubt be the best back in the nation and with his recieving talent might have a legit shot at the heisman.

Ok, so ticket advice I think…

Ok, so ticket advice I think I can help with that as I watched the ticket market for the CFP games daily last year.

You are correct, right after the selection show, the prices went insane. But that was for the UGA vs UM game. Cheap seats were $800. Meanwhile the Bama vs Cinci game was 1/4 of that price.

This remained true where Bamas game was always a much cheaper price point. Last year I waited 2 weeks before buying my tickets around ~$700 a piece. Those same tickets were $400 a week later. And then $300 a piece a few days after that. I think they started around $1100 each for the seats I bought. So that was a drop of 75%.

No game ever truly sells out in the scalper age and the closer the game gets, a lot of people think prices increase, when in almost all instances they drop. Last minute changes for ticket buyers or scalpers fearing not selling the tickets.

I think prices will be much cheaper from the get go. The game is on Dec 31st, me personally I am waiting for the 26th of December this year to purchase unless the prices are where I think they will be a good deal.

What I highly recommend is prebooking hotel and a car rental now. Hotels.com has a book now pay later option, just need a card on file and as long as you cancel 48 hours ahead of time nothing gets charged. Enterprise also lets you book a car without a card on file.

I have a hotel and rental car booked for Atlanta and PHX. Keep in mind with Arizona, if you are willing to drive, you can fly to Tuscon which is 90 min south and one of the best drives you will ever make through Red Rock. Me personally I am flying to Flagstaff which is a few hours north, going to the gran canyon Friday and driving south for the game and leaving out of Phoneix.

I will say flights are extremely expensive to Arizona vs ATL from Detroit and a lot of the flight times are horrible

This is the way. If anyone…

This is the way. If anyone is debating going to the semi's even if its just a debate. Prebook your rental and hotel now for both Atlanta and Phoenix. You can cancel the spot we don't go to. Enterprise allows you to book without paying (you don't even need to put a card on file), and most hotels on hotels.com do too. There is 0 risk involved unless you forget to cancel. Don't wait until Sunday, the prices will be jacked. I made this mistake last year and I watched prices triple from Saturday to Sunday. I would say to book your flight after the SEC game as well. Every major airline allows 24 hour free cancellations, even the bad ones like Spirit.

I would hold off on tickets until closer to the game unless you are lucky to get them at face value, Michigan and UGA never sold out and tickets dropped by a huge margin. I paid $1500 for two tickets the week after the game was announcer. 5 days before the game, the tickets were $400 total, and those were good seats. Nothing ever sells out, not even the Superbowl. You can look at third party sites and there will always be tickets.

I don't see UGA or Michigan…

I don't see UGA or Michigan falling past 3 regardless of a loss. USC has no "good" win to put them over a 1 loss UGA or Michigan

Yeah im trying to find the…

Yeah im trying to find the reasoning. The only team outside of the 4 that has any shot of getting in is Ohio State. Who we have the head to head on the road (and not even close) over. So if Michigan lost and every other top 4 team won, you would think they take a Ohio State team over Michigan? Thats crazy talk. Maybe if the game vs Ohio State was close.

Then if you want to put the downer hat on even more. The 6th team is Bama. Who has 0 top 10 wins over Michigan who has two massive top 10 wins.

I would even argue that with a loss Michigan is a 3 seed at worst since they have the better wins than USC. No to mention from a media standpoint, Michigan vs UGA in the semi doesn't sell like it would in the title game.

Michigan and UGA are locks because they earned those spots over the course of the season with dominant top 10 wins and no one outside of the top 4 earned those spots

I'm pretty sure we are not…

I'm pretty sure we are not really gonna hear any more updates (at least not likely). Most conferences only require non-vaxxed guys to be tested once a week. If that's the case I bet most don't test until the day after the game. Other than that players who are vaccinated don't need to be tested unless they are showing symptoms. I'm sure there is a don't ask/don't tell policy in place right now. Unless a player has serious symptoms or the medical staff initiate it I'm sure no player is self-reporting. A lot of the bowls that were canceled were from teams that were not currently at their bowl site. If I recall correctly, the only exception to this was the Hawaii Bowl, in which Hawaii was just staying on campus, The games that were affected were more than likely players testing before visiting home for the holidays. I would be surprised if we see any other game this week canceled.

Meanwhile according to MLive…

Meanwhile according to MLive the team is going to Miami Beach on Monday and Tuedat

None, my wife apparently…

None, my wife apparently bought me over $200 of B10 merch the night it was released from MDen. Then received an email saying orders that were put in before the 10th would arrive on Xmas Eve. Only then to get another email on Xmas Eve. MD gave us $100 in-store credit which was nice but to be honest I would of rather had the stuff that was ordered considering some of it was Orange Bowl merch for out trip this week. Meanwhile crickets from email and phone support. Would cancel the order but its stuff im not sure we can find in stock anymore

Outside of the Hard Rock…

Outside of the Hard Rock Stadium, they have the Orange Bowl fan fest. Went in 2016 and it was quite fun. Had the bands playing, live entertainment, games, food, alcohol. Its definitely worth checking out. Im avoiding it just because im trying to limit my Covid exposure since I have a wedding to attend in two weeks but I had a really great time at the fan fest in 2016. There will be plenty of tailgates in the parking lot as well. I recommend getting there as soon as you can because parking at the Orange Bowl was a hassle last time we were there

I saw that but even ESPN's own site doesn't list the game. They have Oklahoma vs UT Arlington for ESPN 2 in that time slot and all the other ESPN networks have other games in that slot as well. I feel as if the Mgoblue info is wrong.

You're welcome for the…

You're welcome for the highlights. Yeah BJ looked a lot better than last year. I would have liked to see a little more from Teske as I think him having a good year is really what this team would need to be successful. Livers looked amazing, Castleton looked good and we have officially seen the return of the Sky Hook.

100% not a fan of this. BTN2GO hosted games at 720p while if you use fox sports go if you download the raw file its only 540p and is just a downgrade overall. Besides you could go back and watch and fox or btn aired game from the previous few seasons on BTN2GO
