Michigan vs Maryland baseball today
If anyone is at this game, Maryland's starting pitcher, Kenny Lippman, is my son's former teammate and roommate. He's a strikeout pitcher, but also has had control issues over the past few games, so if Michigan can capitalize on that, they could get a few runs. But Maryland is a good team and has a strong bullpen so.....
You wrote "baseball" but I somehow saw "basketball." I guess I should downvote myself.
Go, Blue.
Wishful thinking.
So he throws heat but is struggling with control?
In 6 games: 25 K,16 BB, 5 HBP, 3 WP. No decapitations so far.
Michigan just tied it, 5-5, and now my emotions are confused. I watched this kid struggle in his first three years in undergrad and then have a record breaking season his senior year (he's in his Covid year). And he's a good friend of my son's. Still, Go Blue!
Maryland pulled out the win in the 9th, 11-9. Michigan came into the 9th, up 8-7. What a bummer.
And to think we were a game away from a national title 5 years ago. Now we can’t even beat EMU.
But at least they have a huge budget surplus. Can't spend money on baseball though.

Thanks Warde!
Hate to say it but this might be another Warde Manuel swing and miss hire..its NOT looking good and the trajectory of the program is Down not up...This team can find any which way to BLOW a game...and bull pen HUGE disappointment
Someone made a great point in a past thread about the baseball team, that Chris Fetter was the difference maker. We had some good pitching in the Bakich years.
