Where is Brian?
Hello Everyone,
I haven't been on the board much this summer, but the past few weeks I have noticed Brian's absence. My apologies for bringing up a topic that I'm sure has already been discussed ad nauseam, but where is he? Hopefully he is ok, and Michigan football hasn't broken him.
TIA.

Probably at home. Or maybe running some errands.

I think he's on mental health leave basically.
What Michigan Football fan is NOT on mental health leave? Serious. And don't call me Shirley.

I checked Flight Tracker and the MGoBlog jet's last flight plan terminated here:

Brian would never go Bucks.
Well-played flight tracker reference.

This one?
I'd be not opposed to renaming MGoBlog Life of Brian on Graham Chapman's birthday each year.
We the People's Front of Judea, brackets, officials.., end brackets, do hereby convey our sincere fraternal and sisterly greetings to you, Brian, on this, the occasion of your martyrdom.
It's the Judean People's Front! Bastards!

Brian is everywhere. And nowhere. At the same time.
Brian is all-seeing, all-knowing and first team all-conference. At the same time.
If you sit back and relax, you will feel Brian's presence. Or not, if you are an unbeliever.
Seriously, though, Brian will return in Brian's time, on Brian's schedule and at Brian's pace.
I hope all is well with Brian and his family.

/the snark is better /
Non-snark answer for those who missed it previously but per Seth, Brian is dealing with something personal/family related, unrelated to the Blog, or Michigan coverage, taking a little time off and he plans to be back soon. Long term, he'll be back doing what he does best, ennui with a side of optimism.
/back to snark/
// can I edit this after people have responded?

Thank you for stepping up to the plate and giving an adult answer. I have real concerns about Brian… Over the last couple of years his negativity seems to be growing and I hope it’s only from overwork.
Kudos to Seth for a job well done while Brian is away.
Someone get a screenshot of it because, again, this will be posted at least five more times in the next month
Overwork, lol’d at that one.
It always seemed Brian dished pessimism with a dash of ennui and PBONE.
If he doesn't ever return, does that mean we won't ever have to hear that fucked up "BPONE" anymore ?
I've got a blue p-bone, but I never use it cause, well, it's a plastic trombone. I was going to post a picture of mine, but I can't find it right now.
I've been thinking about getting a pbone for alumni band so I don't wreck my concert bone at homecoming. How terrible are they, really?
Not enough that anyone can hear a difference…
The slides are pretty janky, and you're not going to get much projection out of them. That said, though, for something like alumni band, it might be kind of handy. They're super light, and the plastic mouthpiece isn't nearly as affected by temperature as a brass one, so depending on what the weather is like for the alumni band game (usually pretty late in the season), it might be a lot more comfortable. Also, you could get a blue one, get a block M stencil, and airbrush a maize M on there.
Edit: full disclosure, I was never in either the MMB or alumni band. Marching band was never my thing, and I was at UofM to do a masters in trombone performance, so marching band wouldn't have been much on my radar, so take my options on trombone gear for alumni band with an appropriate grain of salt.
Anyone who has ever played or ever makes any reference to a trombone is a total POS and can march right off my grass right NOW!
And while you are marching off my grass, copy, paste, and enjoy the following:

That was shockingly helpful. Am I on the right blog?
There's also a nice dedication to Brian by Seth in the beginning of HTTV.
"This book is dedicated to Brian Cook.
His writing is an inspiration, his passion to inform infectious,
his intent righteous, and we are all here because we find it a little bit incredulous
that we have him to write about this stupid thing we love.
And because he absolutely can’t stand to hear it."

Gotta be more specific. I know a lot of Brians.

I heard he's on his Mormon mission in West Africa.
Hopefully blessing the rains; it takes some time to do the things he never had.
Playing in an endless loop (until it gets ripped apart by a sand storm):
This song is such a vibe.
Really hope he's able to help Juwan out by finding a smooth shooting lefty guard with a lot of grit and an alliterative name
