Having lived in Grand Rapids and Traverse City for about 40 of my 47 years. Can't go wrong we either area I love both areas. Traverse City area is great for four season activities. Grew up in Elk Rapids, hard to beat for a small town.
We have hit up Plante Moran on E Mich Ave a few times, easy walk. We have found other places along that stretch to park. I have been to the last 3 games in EL and never had an issue other than the normal loud talkers.
Hulu Live and Peacock, I use Hulu Live for the season then cancel it when done. I will use an antenna when the games are on broadcast tv, no delays this way. Getting a text before you see a play gets frustrating.
They should just remove 1 week from the regular season and put all teams in the playoffs. Is this the only sport in MHSAA that doesn't allow all schools to play in the post season?
Living in the Traverse city area, a boat is great to have. We have a Crownline 240BR. Open bow but big enough for the big lake and still can get in all the inland lakes we like.
We like hitting Elk and Torch lakes as much as possible. Lake Leelanau is great, still can go on the bays and have a blast.
I am lucky to work on cars everyday, I have driven some gems. Cars I have owned and just plain awful.... 1980 Chevy Citation and 1984 VW Rabbit diesel. Glad I wasn't in a hurry when I owned those.
I work at a Ram/Jeep dealer. I had the privilege to PDI a Wagoneer recently. Let me say this was the absolute biggest pile of junk I have driven for that price point. I will say most are great and nice. This trash can on wheels clunked from the steering column so bad I thought the steering shaft bolt was missing, the radio and screens are dead, the steering wheel is 20 degrees off center. I called my rep and told him to take it back to the plant.
We see it often, it's not the dealers doing it. It's the warranty company. Make sure you have your contract in hand when they say it isn't covered. From what I understand, the extended warranty was sold to another company, they are awful to deal with.
If that warranty is a Maxcare warranty through Ram, they are voiding them and not covering a lot of things that the used to cover. Working in a Ram dealer we are seeing the warranty canceled or claims declined at an alarming rate.
I work for a Ram dealer, only sold units are being built at this time. If the trucks are a generic build they will show up fast, so they can be built and delivered quicker. I am 9 months into a Ram 1500 lease, I was offered $3500.00 to turn in early and get into another truck. The used car market is crazy.
Have a great trip. We purchased a travel trailer this year after a few years of looking. Already planning our trip for next fall, don't even know where to start.

I never heard them playing, I was across the stadium from them.

Elk Lake hands down the winner. Very nice family friendly sand bar on the NE corner of the lake. Your only a short cruise to Torch Lake.
