Thank you, sir!

Glad I checked before making the thread.
Thanks to the OP for doing this.
Always exciting to start a new era.

I’m watching…. I think it’s the first time I’ve seen Sherrone in a suit and tie. He looks great.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:28 AM ^
Just turned on TV thanks to this thread. Indeed he does.
January 27th, 2024 at 1:59 PM ^
I thought Sherrone was really poised, and well-spoken. He's impressive for as young as he is.
January 27th, 2024 at 5:10 PM ^
It was a great presser. I'm glad he was hired and I predict he will achieve great success.
But to use words like "poised" and "well spoken" for an adult, particularly for an adult of color, is cringe-worthy, if not positively offensive.
He's a grown man with an impressive professional resume. It's not like he's a 12 year old speaking in public for the first time in his life.
January 27th, 2024 at 5:28 PM ^
I understand your point but tbh as an Eagles fan who is used to train wreck press conferences with a coach who is definitely not a person of color, I was relieved when comparing Sherrone to Nick S. .

My tv is off or we're experiencing highlighter-yellow-creep again.
That blue is off as well.

Half time at Crisler?
January 27th, 2024 at 11:20 AM ^
Under-6 media timeout in the first half for that today.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:18 AM ^
Probably not calling plays, says Moore.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:20 AM ^
And he said he has a good idea of who he will put in that position. Seems like the OC will be from the staff...which means Campbell.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:19 AM ^
Says he probably won’t be calling plays and seems to know who the next OC and play caller will be.
Guessing Campbell gets promoted.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:20 AM ^
Question-will you be calling plays?
Answer- Not decided, probably not. I have a good idea who will take that role.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:23 AM ^
That was a respectable Harbaugh voice.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:23 AM ^
It was!
January 27th, 2024 at 11:23 AM ^
Moore does a low-key amazing impression of Harbaugh.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:36 AM ^
Harbaugh asking him to spend the night after the interview and he said, “ I only have a suit” was hilarious
Harbaugh’s response “ Well we will get you some gear”. Not taking no for an answer.
We can all picture it
January 27th, 2024 at 11:38 AM ^
Harbaugh is big on sleepovers.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:56 AM ^
Maybe Jim can have a sleep over the day he's honorary captain
January 27th, 2024 at 11:23 AM ^
Warde mentioned based on scheduling and bye weeks, they said they would ask Harbaugh to return for a game as honorary captain. I think that's awesome.
I also love him using "with enthusiasm unknown to mankind" in his speech. It was a nice touch
January 27th, 2024 at 11:23 AM ^
OMG that story about his interview LMAO
January 27th, 2024 at 11:23 AM ^
That was amazing 😆 🤣
January 27th, 2024 at 8:48 PM ^
That was a great story - I can just picture the getting down into stances, and roping Jay in to act as another play and having Jack give the count. If this were in a TV show or movie, people would think it is over-the-top, yet it was real.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:24 AM ^
Wants to maintain philosophy regardless who's coordinating. Not a surprise.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:25 AM ^
How great is it that he seems a bit more nervous at that podium than he did at any point during the OSU win.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:29 AM ^
Great presser. One take away is he'll run the program they Jim did: The Team! The Team! The Team! meaning that it will remain all about the players.
Glad to see this HC replacement was handled quickly and correctly.
Congrats to Sherrone. This program is in great hands. I for one will be able to sleep well tonight.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:33 AM ^
Harbaugh is probably Moore’s single most influential mentor.
Bo was probably Harbaugh’s single most influential mentor.
This is good stuff.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:43 AM ^
Respectfully - IMO - Jim’s mentors seem to have been…
1A - Jack Harbaugh… then 1B - Bo.
”What’s my name?” “An enthusiasm unknown to mankind.” “Be better today than you were yesterday - and better tomorrow than you are today.” “Who’s got it better than us?” Those are four phrases that should complement “The team. The Team, THE TEAM.”
January 27th, 2024 at 11:48 AM ^
Fair.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:48 AM ^
That's what I call a good coaching tree. Doesn't get any better than that.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:30 AM ^
Carter smith seems to on the Moore train ! Florida Gatorade player of the year in state of Florida as a junior !!!! Over them Florida 5 stars and high 4 ‘s !! Let’s Go
January 27th, 2024 at 11:30 AM ^
Herbert at the presser. Good sign
January 27th, 2024 at 11:38 AM ^
Unfortunately, when asked by a reporter if he is staying, he said no comment. :(
January 27th, 2024 at 11:47 AM ^
Moore also said he’s “very encouraged” at the prospects of Herbert staying. Very possibly, as Herbert said, that this is Sherrone’s moment
January 27th, 2024 at 11:49 AM ^
Don't take that the wrong way. Just being there is a good sign.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:39 AM ^
That’s GREAT to see!
January 27th, 2024 at 11:31 AM ^
The future is bright! 😎😎😎😎😎😎
January 27th, 2024 at 11:32 AM ^
I think the big question is if he can recruit without having the Harbaugh name connected ..... seems like a good guy
January 27th, 2024 at 11:38 AM ^
Kids love him.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:44 AM ^
Wearing a National Championship ring should help.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:50 AM ^
Seriously I think he has an ability to recruit better than Harbaugh.
Just keep winning and take advantage of the continuity of I’m going to be head coach here for a long time.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:54 AM ^
NIL and $ will help in both HS recruiting and the portal.
Need to sustain the culture and not go mercenary U, but also need to be realistic about compensating at a competitive level.
January 27th, 2024 at 11:55 AM ^
I’ll be honest, I don’t think Harbaugh’s name did Michigan many favors in recruiting after the luster of being an NFL coach faded after the first few years.
I love Harbaugh, quirks and all. But he is a weird dude and I don’t think his personality made him any more desirable to play for than any other coach for the most part. You had a few players here and there that instantly gelled with his quirks and his players generally loved him while on campus. But we were mostly recruiting in the low to mid teens with a former NFL coach that is top 5 all-time in winning percentage.
Moore is considered an excellent recruiter. And I think his youth and energy are going to be generally received better by recruits than Harbaugh’s quirks. Put a good staff together and I can see the recruiting rankings being even better. The question for me is going to be whether or not they maintain the infrastructure that enabled them to routinely get under-valued recruits and develop them into all-B1G talents.
January 27th, 2024 at 12:30 PM ^
According to an article interviewing UA All-Stars, Harbaugh was one of the most likable coaches on the recruitment trail. “Weird” is a subjective term often used by boring people to describe interesting people.
Harbaugh is a cool person because he’s singular. Kids dig that.
January 27th, 2024 at 1:38 PM ^
Actually, 1 player said that about Harbaugh. It wasn’t a consensus.
January 27th, 2024 at 2:04 PM ^
One player said that, and as I said there are instances where individual recruits do like his quirks. But as a whole, Harbaugh is a weird dude that does stuff like wearing cleats all the time. You can call it “subjective” if it makes you feel better, but Harbaugh IS a weird dude and our recruiting rankings weren’t all that great under his direction.
