I must have missed all of…

I must have missed all of those Viking championships throughout the years.

I disagree with that. Green…

I disagree with that. Green Bay is a .500 team without Rodgers.

If Rodgers leaves, Green Bay… If Rodgers leaves, Green Bay is done for awhile.
The Vikings lost to the…

The Vikings lost to the Lions this season and were very fortunate to beat them in Minneapolis. I don't understand why the Viking organization and Viking fans think they're so much better than anyone other than Green Bay.

I was at the game with…

I was at the game with college friends. Their fans, in general, were friendly before the game and the majority were civil during the game, but there were several grown men acting like complete psychos in our section. We were cheering for UM, but said nothing to them or nothing bad about Nebraska, but these guys were staring us down and hurling profanities at us from the 2nd Quarter on. I also thought the crowd was over-the-top with their booing and blaming the refs for the loss. I also wasn't impressed with their knowledge of football. I will say that several people around us apologized for the behavior of these crazy guys around us. I think their emotions got the better of them. I liked the Haymarket District and the bars and restaurants in that area. We had no problems at all after the game. In fact, many fans wished Michigan good luck the rest of the season.

Losing to a team which didn…

Losing to a team which didn't have a single player drafted doesn't speak highly of Michigan.

Who cares?

Who cares?

The issue I have with them…

The issue I have with them is the media adolation and worship they've received for months. It's been nauseating.

Completely disagree…

Completely disagree. Beckmann was a great announcer. Brandstetter is horrible at PBP.

Neither do I. I understand…

Neither do I. I understand that they're trying to hook people, but they're not hooking me and I'm up over $600 on the various sportsbook sites (the money is already in my bank account). I have more than enough money to pay for my UM season football tickets this year assuming fans are allowed (I have 2 seats which I split with my dad).

That's one those who give…

That's on those who give the money back then. I immediately withdraw it to my bank account. Over 2 promotions, that's $91.10 of free money.

I've done this twice on Fan…

I've done this twice on Fan Duel. They had the same promotion for the Michigan/Wisconsin game. I just withdraw the money as soon as possible. Free money. They're not getting me. It's a no-brainer to take free money.

Everybody gets the final…

Everybody gets the final spread independent of when they opted in. Not that +31.5 isn't enough. Wouldn't it be legendary if the spread ended up MSU +110 and MSU lost 111-0. One in a trillion, I know.

Garza sucked in that game…

Garza sucked in that game. Poor loser. They lost by 22 points.

I was waiting for this tired…

I was waiting for this tired and predictable response. Sigh.

You know nothing about the…

You know nothing about the boy either. If this has happened in the past, that would obviously change the manner in which I would approach the situation. I'm assuming it isn't a recurring problem, however, because I wasn't given any information indicating it was.

I have a son and 2 girls. I…

I have a son and 2 girls. I can't tell you how many times I've told all of them not to do something and then they go ahead and do it anyway. Sometimes, kids do things impulsively and there's nothing parents or teachers can do about it other than scolding them and reminding them that what they did is not acceptable. I don't agree with getting the police involved unless this becomes a recurring problem with this particular kid. I also believe in second chances and despise the litigious society that we have become. This should be handled by the school and the parents of those involved. The boy should be suspended and be required to take some sort of class on sexual assault. That's how I would handle it.

He's probably 13 then.

He's probably 13 then.

It happened in my school all…

It happened in my school all the time and I went to a Catholic school.

I'm sorry that this happened…

I'm sorry that this happened to your daughter, but young boys make poor decisions all the time, and people, in general, aren't perfect. What exactly do you want to happen to the boy? What do you want to happen to the school? Do you think schools are capable of controlling the actions of students in all instances? I'm trying to be sensible about this situation. I think calling the police, hiring a lawyer, and filing lawsuits is the wrong approach. The boy should be punished, he should be physically separated from your daughter, and the school should use this as a teaching opportunity for their students. I have 6 and 8 year old daughters so that gives me some perspective on the issue.

I'm not saying that bra…

I'm not saying that bra snapping is the same as what this kid did. I am saying that boys do stupid things without thinking all the time and I think throwing the book at a 12-13 year old boy over this is overkill. He should be punished and be educated about why what he did is not acceptable under any circumstances.

I'm not in any way condoning…

I'm not in any way condoning what this boy did, but a lot of people in this thread are acting like he killed someone. How many people remember boys in school snapping or unclasping girls' bras? The boy should be punished, he should be physically separated from the girl, and the school should institute some sort of awareness about sexual harassment into their curriculum. If I was the girls' parents, I'd be satisfied with those measures while doing whatever I could to make sure that my daughter's emotional and mental needs were being met. Once again, I have 2 young daughters so I'm basing my response on how I would feel if something like this happened to them.

Totally agree. I have 2…

Totally agree. I have 2 young daughters and going to the police would be my last resort. I'd go to the school, ask why my wife and I wife weren't notified about the incident, inquire about what's being done to ensure that it won't happen again, and ask for my daughter to be separated from this kid whenever possible. I'd also take into consideration that this kid is 13 years old and boys that age don't make good decisions in many instances. I'd try to defuse the situation while making sure that my daughter was being protected. I think going nuclear serves nobody.

It will be announced that…

It will be announced that sports can resume during a 1:30 PM press conference today.

Fair analysis, but I don't…

Fair analysis, but I don't understand why the entire athletic program had to shutdown because of cases within one or two programs. Isolate people who came into contact with the carrier and those who contracted it from the carrier, but instituting a blanket athletic department-wide shutdown makes no logical or scientific sense.

I'm right with you. The…

I'm right with you. The virus has been around approximately 1 year and I know of 4 different strains. It will continue to mutate and some variants will be resistant to the vaccine. If this is the way society is going to react to every new strain, this is how life is going to be for the foreseeable future. Does anyone want to live the rest of their life like this?

This. MSU was awful at…

This. MSU was awful at football. At the time of their loss to Rutgers, nobody knew that Michigan was awful too.

The Browns have had a lot…

The Browns have had a lot more success than the Lions in the Super Bowl era. They have 6 or 7 playoff wins and should have made the Super Bowl 2 years in the 80s (the Bronco losses). Over the same time, the Lions have had 1 playoff win and no team which was even close to being a Super Bowl contender. The Lions are the worst franchise in pro sports.

I agree that OSU was the…

I agree that OSU was the better team last season, but OSU isn't close to being as good this season and Clemson is just as good. I expect Clemson to win rather easily.

BYU would have smoked MSU in Provo.

My enthusiasm is at 0%. I…

My enthusiasm is at 0%. I watched Gameday for 5 minutes and the realization that Michigan isn't playing really hit home and it's depressing.

What is there to talk about?…

What is there to talk about? Handicapping that big Marshall/Eastern Kentucky game? Now, that we've reached the day that the season should have started for Michigan, I'm just pissed.

Cancer and car accidents…

Cancer and car accidents haven't caused governments to lockdown states resulting in people losing their businesses, people losing their jobs, kids not being in school, and everything being cancelled. I believe that society has to learn to live with this virus instead of hiding in their houses forever and acting like wearing a mask will solve everything.

Nope. Not allowed. Unless…

Nope. Not allowed. Unless you're irrationally terrified, you're not allowed to have an opinion. I feel the same way as Cousins. I wear my stupid mask, but I'm not afraid of the virus.

Do people really think that…

Ranking teams which won't play is stupid.

Why would you come to a Michigan sports blog site and expect to not talk about sports? There are plenty of places you can go to talk about the virus.

OK. Sorry. It's difficult to determine who is responding to who in this forum.

How am I engaging in…

How am I engaging in hyperbole? I agree that high risk teachers should be allowed to teach from home, but the vast majority of teachers aren't in the high risk category.

I don't understand why…

I don't understand why teachers feel like they're in some special category that sets them apart from others when it comes to this issue. In fact, I'd argue that they have an 'essential job' which is vital to society. That's what they told everyone prior to this crisis. My wife is a teacher and she thinks it's her duty and obligation to teach kids as long as appropriate safety measures are put into place. They like to call people who want children to be educated 'selfish,' but I think they're being selfish for only thinking about themselves instead of the greater community.

My point is that if 'cases'…

My point is that if 'cases' continues to be the standard, the current situation will never end.

Are there still cases of the…

Are there still cases of the flu despite having a vaccine? Why would you think this virus would behave any differently with respect to a vaccine? I don't understand your logic. Unless it just disappears on its own, there are still going to be cases.
