Imagine thinking for awhile now that Michigan can’t get better than Harbaugh. There are a lot of you on here who loved to use that line to defend Jim in arguments. “Give me your list” hahahahaha.

You know how you can tell a football team has quit? When they look like they are on ice skates. As soon as the game started the entire defense didn’t have good leverage and looked like they were on ice skates. EXACTLY like 2014 Brady Hoke.

this wasn’t going to be a great team but they are talented enough to be good. They’ve all quit on each other.

I know “the team quit” sounds like the guys are doing something evil but for those of you that were athletes it’s not like that. You don’t want to quit. It’s just a feeling you get of negativity where everyone disengages inch by inch and it bleeds so far into your performance you end up with games like last night.

I can’t possibly say it enough it’s 2014 Brady hoke. That team look like a bunch of jr ice skaters unprepared just getting their ass kicked left and right.

I actually feel bad for all of them. Nobody wants this. The buck stops with harbaugh though.

I feel like Harbaugh has checked out. Maybe he knows he’s leaving after this season. Maybe they’ve agreed to part ways at the end of the season. Maybe there is something else going on in his life. This is all speculation. But he doesn’t seem right.

Any cache JH had in regards to recruiting draw has been permanently damaged.

I've never seen a UM team concede defeat before Q2. Some of the wrost ever body language on the field and sidelines.

Players giving up, and coaches bickering at each other, the headset playback must be fantastic.

Sadly, Warde will let his buddy continue, with more staff changing.

The damage to the program continues, and this staff is not going to inspire or attract the talent level needed to reverse the trajectory.

Harbaugh is close to 20 years removed from his NFL career. Over 30 from his Michigan days. Stanford 10 or so. Even SF NFL is 6-7. Most kids start to get recruited in their junior year high school. At about 17. So very few remember , or care, about Stanford, and maybe were 11 when he came to UM. Yesterday’s news. Sorry , and I was fully amped when he was hired. Maybe all the negative press about his quirkiness and attitude are true. Idk. Can’t judge him by his former podcasts with his Dad.

Some of us knew two years ago that Harbaugh was clearly not going to get the job done here, and took all kinds of shit from the Kool-Aid drinkers in the JH cult for saying so.  We just wasted two years, and now it's going to be another 4 before we can even hope that Harbaugh's replacement will be able to turn things around.

Some people are career professional coaches and some people are career college coaches, no matter the sport. None of us thought Beilein was going to do well in the NBA. Beilein, despite his quirks, connected with the kids. He was never gonna connect the same way with a bunch of millionaires. Harbaugh treats college football like a business, which perhaps might work at places like OSU or Bama, where football IS life. My point on that though is that Harbaugh seems better suited for the NFL. It's not that Harbaugh doesn't care about the players, he just doesn't have a genuine connection. He fights for all the players more than any college coach out there with his stances on things to better the college athletes, but he misses the mark in the real interactions. Everything about Harbaugh screams NFL. They might hate him there too but they are getting paid millions to perform.

The day HUEL got affiliated with this blog coincided with the fall of this program. Two things- dead, gone and floundering

It was awful across the board.  Will risk the wrath of others and say I actually think J. Green and V. Gray are showing signs of improvement, and I credit J. Green for coming back in last night after being hurt and seeing his replacement get torched.

No question we were out schemed and out coached  last night.  At times it felt like Wisconsin was playing with 14 players and we were playing with 10.

When you are losing the line of scrimmage all night long and you are 4th and goal from the half yard line and you call a qb running play from shot gun up the middle, you obliterate any pretense about offensive genius.  The best "spin" I can think of is they were desperate.  Ben did make a block.  Someone on blog said during commercial before that play he felt like we had a 5 % percent of scoring.  Running that play, it turns out he was right.  No one play changed the outcome of last nights game and Michigan was outmatched, but that play summarized the game pretty well for me.

Offense
Josh Gattis: OC
Michigan had 219 yards the only thing worse than the play calling was the execution.
F-
Ed Warriner:  Oline
The offence wasn’t on the  field that much but 47 rushing yards isn’t that good
F-
Jay Harbaugh: RB’s
47 yards with arguably the most talented group we have. Do we need to say more?
F-
Sherrone Moore: TE’s
Erick All contributed and didn’t drop a pass that hit him in the numbers! That is an improvement!
F+

Defense
Don Brown DC:

In nearly 80 plays we had one sack and 2 TFL They threw at will and ran even more!
F- is too flattering
Brian Jean-Mary: LBs
McGrone had a TFL!
F-
Shaun Nua: DLine
They were on the field 40 minutes and busted one sack. I think Mertz tripped. I thought the Dline was on the sideline for most of the game? Wisconsin had 5 different runners with runs of 15+ yards. They were really bad up the middle and worse on the outside.
F- is too flattering
Bob Shoop: Safeties
Clearly the best Michigan coach. Had the sense not to come anywhere near the big House
F+
Mike Zordich corners:

Vincent Gray didn’t completely suck only 1 PI!  A big improvement! mostly because Whisky ran at will. F+
Jim Harbaugh: Head Coach
Was it me  or did the team look as defeated coming out of the tunnel as they did going in? Other that offense, defines and special teams, I thought they looked pretty good. Harbaugh didn’t completely screw-up the clock so there are posited going forward.
Again

F- is too flattering

I feel like the Hartland Eagles HS (my former HS school where I grew up and look just like Michigan) football team has switched spots with the actual Michigan football team.  It's like ... who IS this team out there right now.  I just can't blame the players right now ... something is just WAY wrong with coaching.  Wholly Mackerel!

I've given this a lot thought and concluded I don't want to Harbaugh or any of his staff fired after this covid-19 year.  It messed up every program so I'm not saying only Harbaugh was impacted but I certainly believe Harbaugh would have won 9-10 games with this squad in a normal year.  I'd like to give him another year to see if he can get the program back on track and moving forward again.

I was a JH fan for sure.  2020 truly has been crap all the way around.  My anger and others is probably higher because we just want some good.  I'm not against what you said and I get why you would say that.  I just feel for about the past 3 years something has just not been right.  Mainly the lack of an entire team (yes a few have shown it) showing a fire in their game play.  It's just been blah. It's hard to describe. JH just has not been the same as of late from when he very first got here.  I know he was told to tone it down etc but I feel it's more than that. I want that coach fired up and yelling and officials and guiding the team with "fire".  I'm just at a loss.  When we lost to Michigan State ... i was like WHAT!  It's just been worse every week now.  It's just a major bummer! I mean how many years now have we been saying ... .STOP RUNNING UP THE MIDDLE!  =)   Uuuuugh

I kinda hope Cade gets the nod next week.  Just because ..... I just want to see something else tried.  Milton seems like a good kid but it's been not good.
