I don't know............ but…

I don't know............ but maybe he should think about a change........ maybe a hitch in the merchant marine followed by a restart at perhaps a small high school in Indiana........

Serious answer he should resign, apologize and then resign.

I think he needs to resign…

I think he needs to resign or be fired, he can't remain.  Coaching must be a very frustrating profession, its so frustrating to follow as a fan, but a coach has to have control over himself.  I didn't see this coming, not at all, but it must result in a termination.  Hopefully, Howard will find it within himself to apologize and resign.

MSU has won 10 out of the…

MSU has won 10 out of the last 14 games including wins in the first 2 games of Tucker’s regime.  The question to ask is at what point does State’s dominance become simply the new order of things?

You're right, Dantonio or…

You're right, Dantonio or his staff had a sharp eye for QB talent.  Whereas Harbaugh, who played the position with distinction, hasn't proven to be the QB whisper envisioned when hired.  I don't have enough fingers to count how many QBs Harbaugh has gone futility trying to find a good one and when a good one seems in hand he's not really utilized.  Just about the opposite at MSU with a succession of good ones.  Thorne looks like he'll have some sort of NFL career also, but he's just a sophomore now.

Imagine two scenarios and…

Imagine two scenarios and decide what is really worse:

1.  Ryan Day's Buckeyes beat UberRich Mel Tucker's Spartans and the Buckeyes proceed to beat Michigan and then move onto win the B1G and a spot in the playoffs.  MSU beats PSU and plays in NYDs bowl game, which they win.

2.  Newly UberRich Mel Tucker's Spartan's defeat the Buckeyes in Columbus and go onto beat PSU and win the B1G AGAIN and go the CFP AGAIN.  This time their seeded 3rd and the defeat the 2nd seed before falling to GA in the final.  Walker wins the Heisman, Tucker is hailed a great coach and his program one of destiny.  I almost forgot, in unrelated and largely ignored and irrelevant news OSU beats Michigan again and goes to the Rose Bowl.  Michigan goes to Tampa to play someone in a "they drive down on I 75" consolation bowl game.

Don't think #2 is possible?  Don't be so sure because they've done it before and with less weapons then they have now.

This story is a few days old…

This story is a few days old now, what is holding up the closing?  Why hasn't Tucker already signed it?

OSU is going to beat…

OSU is going to beat Michigan unless they lose at home to MSU.  In the unlikely event MSU upsets them than I can envision OSU getting upset in AA by Michigan.

MSU should  beat PSU.  The PSU has a good defense but the offense stinks whereas MSU has a well balanced and big strike offense, a decent run defense and a decent red zone defense.  I expect MSU to win at home on senior day after losing on the road to OSU.

Who cares?  They get to work…

Who cares?  They get to work it out during the games.  I think OSU beats MSU & MI anyway so it doesn't really matter.

You act like Michigan…

You act like Michigan getting beat by MSU is something freakish instead what has happened 10 out of the last 14 or 15 times.  Enough with the excuses about the latest game, they find a way to win it whether they have to make consecutive 2 point plays, rushing 11 to spook a punter, scoring before the rain came or whatever, they made it happen.

Isn't Jim Harbaugh who is 0…

Isn't Jim Harbaugh who is 0-2 against Tucker making that kind of money?  Sounds like crazy money to me but If one of their billionaire alumni wants to pick up that tab so be it.  At least this way Harbaugh will get a few more shots at Tucker.

MSU has won 10 of the last…

MSU has won 10 of the last 14 or 15?  I forget exactly, but it seemed nuts to me to overly confident, 59%, of a Michigan win when both teams were undefeated after 7 games and the game was at MSU.  They made the plays to win.

So what?  Why the obsession…

So what?  Why the obsession with Tucker and MSU?

1.  Take MD seriously, play…

1.  Take MD seriously, play Haskins and Corum and make its a win, don't let MD hang around like MSU did.

2.  MSU beat up Tagovailoa pretty bad, I wasn't sure he was going to be able to to finish the game.  It reminded me of how they worked over Devin Gardner, it wasn't quite that bad but bad.  Tagovailoa is game and makes plays so I don't think it will be easy.

Final thought, MSU barely beat MD, forget about the score it was much closer than that so Harbaugh better have them focused on MD not on the following week.

I agree.  Cade threw the…

I agree.  Cade threw the ball very well and his receivers looked good, Michigan should pass more going forward.  I am more hopeful about Michigan's chances against PSU and OSU, especially OSU after seeing this effective passing attack.  I know MSU's pass defensive is passive and weak but good routes and good throws standout nonetheless.  I don't like Michigan's chances against OSU if Harbaugh goes into it with a 1 dimensional offense but if they continue to throw the ball over the next few games and establish a balance and passing rhythem then they have a real shot.

MSU conservative pass…

MSU conservative pass defense allows teams to pass at will between the twenties but when teams get to the red zone  State plays tighter and opponents end up settling for field goals, like Michigan.

Agreed, it was the play of…

Agreed, it was the play of the game.  They played fearlessly to win and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with boldness, poise and resolve.  Harbaugh needs to learn from this and show the same courage and fearless determination going forward.  Harbaugh has enough talent he needs a champions heart, become like Tucker and win out Harbaugh.

Stop the whining and excuse…

Stop the whining and excuse making because we all know Walker, Reed, Thorne and the other MSU players made the big plays to win it, especially down the stretch when they seemed to be fresher and stronger.  It wasn't the refs, COVID, rain, trouble with a snap, the time keeper, a trip or any number of lame excuses it was their better coaching and better performances.  Michigan needs to coach better, play better, run the table and make the playoffs.

We learned Cade can throw…

We learned Cade can throw and should throw early and often.  It was a loss but Mich can still win the B1G and go to the playoffs if they play balanced and fearlessly.

Yeah, MSU has flaws, most…

Yeah, MSU has flaws, most notably its pass protection.  OSU will probably win but I think State will beat PSU because PSU has even more flaws.

So what? I couldn't care…

So what? I couldn't care less if some excited MSU kids burnt a couple of couches, who cares?  If I was young and drunk with a big victory it would be fun to scream and shout around a bonfire.

State played with more…

State played with more courage, going for it instead of field goals.  That 4-1 toss to set up a TD.  The long pass on 3-5 to set up another.  That was the difference but they also had the best player on the field in Walker, who squirmed, juked and charged his way to 5 TDs.  Michigan won the line of scrimmage for the most part but Walker still dominated.

I'm 69 so I've been watching…

I'm 69 so I've been watching closely for over 50 years and this is the worst B1G I can remember but there are a few bright spots.  OSU is good, NW is better than usual, Indiana is much better than usual, Iowa seems solid, Wisconsin got sick so that is 4 of 14 that seem okay.  Michigan is really awful, worse than RichRod bad, Penn State is putrid, Nebraska?  I just don't know what to say about them other than the Scott Frost tenure is far less impactful than expected thus far.  MSU seems able to put up a scrap when they decide to show up but have only showed up twice this year.  The lack of sustained effort doesn't bode well for Tucker in my view. The rest of the teams are just limping along.  Yeah, the B1G sucks but that thankfully isn't playing outside of the league this year.

I think B1G coaches are going to get a bye this year because of Covid-19 so I think even Harbaugh will probably be back in 2021 unless he decides himself he's lost his juju.

Jim and the guys will bounce…

Jim and the guys will bounce back next year, this covid-19 year is just a weird outlier, lets not overreact especially in midseason.

I've given this a lot…

I've given this a lot thought and concluded I don't want to Harbaugh or any of his staff fired after this covid-19 year.  It messed up every program so I'm not saying only Harbaugh was impacted but I certainly believe Harbaugh would have won 9-10 games with this squad in a normal year.  I'd like to give him another year to see if he can get the program back on track and moving forward again.

Bad on two counts:

1. …

Bad on two counts:

1.  Wasn't prepared at all if he doesn't know the name of the opponents defense leader

2.  Can't be too bright to say this after a defeat because it proves he wasn't focused and prepared.

Luke Fickel.  Pay him what…

Luke Fickell.  Call Brinks and pay him whatever he wants, give him the budget he wants and hope he can do what Jim Harbaugh clearly can't do, Jim has had his chance and failed.

Of course he did why wouldn…

Of course he did why wouldn't he want to be part of the dream team Izzo is building?

There is a lot truth in the…

There is a lot truth in the old saying "nothing succeeds like success."  Izzo is a great coach with great; facilities, fanbase, and recruiting base, etc....  so it's not surprising to me the that 5 star players from Michigan, Chicagoland and Ontario committed to MSU.

I'm with you it looks not…

I'm with you it looks not only risky but a desperate reach instead of a well thought out selection of a talented and proven younger coach ready for his destination job.

"Beilein left us high-and…

"Beilein left us high-and-dry?"  I couldn't disagree more.  If you are referring to the depleted roster because of early NBA departures I think you are grossly underestimating how impactful John Beilein's success has been and how important it is to leverage this success.  Beilein made the program serious again and the facilities have been upgraded as well.  The next coach will really have something to sell if he himself is equal to the challenge of maintaining and enhancing John Beilein's Michigan.

I have been thinking about…

I have been thinking about this for a bit now and still fail to appreciate why it would be beneficial to layer the Fab 5 era issues over Beilein's success.  It seems to me that the program ought to be looking for Beilein II instead of opening up the Fab 5/Ed Martin can of worms.

The program is in much better shape than when he arrived, best of luck to him.

Tough to honestly say the…

Tough to honestly say the kid is making a mistake here because love him or hate him or something in between no serious person would deny Izzo is the goods.

MSU because it may lead to…

MSU because it may lead to some unexpected early departures.  Tillman and Winston could possibly impress enough to take their chance now and who knows maybe even Ward if he won the title.  A title could also lead to MSU assistants getting coaching jobs.  Any combination of these eventualities could lead to a weaker MSU team in 2020, so I want MSU to win now.

I agree with your argument,…

I agree with your argument, I think conference success is good for the conference members financially as well as recruiting although I think some of NC's and Duke's recruiting success is the result of parents getting jobs in the area.

Unfortunately, the officials just couldn't sustain their performance down the stretch, perhaps a conditioning issue.

8-4 isn't the best case or the worse case but the most realistic.

Likely losses:

Wisc @ Home

MSU @ MSU

OSU @ OSU

Other possible losses:

PSU @ Home

NW @ NW

Best case I can envision now is 9-3 worst case is 6-6

Thanks for making this list…

Thanks for making this list.  It might have been just a wee bit more encouraging if it included some Michigan teams but it is a good thought all the same.

I'll venture a guess, he was drunk or high when he posted this stuff.  He's very lucky it is a suspension and he wasn't canned.  He better clean up his act if he wants media work.
