This will be the thread for takes regarding the overall coaching performance.

It's been a while that Michigan football drove me to can't wait for Lions Sunday football....

I'm not sure I would retain any of these coaches, even Ed Warriner.

The call that sticks in my craw is calling for a punt rush right after we got a TD and a defensive stop.  McNamara looked fantastic on his first drive but we didn't have faith he could do it again?  We had one tiny glimmer of hope and threw it away.

That, and running out of the shotgun on 4th and goal inside the one.  Where was Mason?

Never again want hear the bs about JH losing  his fire, dude never had it, rotation of staff confirmed it, now the on field shit show has beyond disappointed an entire fan base.

Nothing will happen of course, so keep paying that $10 mill staff fee UM.

Saw 2 low life teams today smoke the asses of both Michigan's  BIG teams with ease.

Warde will issue some lame ass reasons.....with the Covid and all...expectations were adjusted, bank on it.

Unwatchable production.

I didn't go to UM and quite frankly don't give a shit about "Michigan Man" nonsense. It's a crapshoot hiring a coach unless you get Urban but they need to make a change. I don't plan on keeping my tickets but I'd be willing to give it another year if they hire someone that can invigorate the program.  Otherwise the stadium will be empty when others like myself decide to not renew.

LOL LOL LOL! What coaching? Get the broom! Every "Michigan Man" needs to find a hole and hide in it forever. Sweep them all. That includes Brandstatter, Dierdorf, David Ablauf, and anyone in that Athletic Dept. Warde, you are not safe.....

No need to go into the other snowflakes....

This is the first season in 3 decades of Michigan fandom that I've voluntarily stopped watching games before the end when we were down. I was in my last year of law school at U-M in 2008 and stayed through the bitter (freezing cold and raining) loss to NW and still enjoyed it. Partly due to having a baby girl, but also that I don't think we even have a prayer of a comeback, even with more than half of a quarter remaining. Stopped watching tonight to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender. Glad that I did.

I found the offense to be lacking in the run and pass aspects of this football sport. I noticed we threw the ball to the other team a couple times as well. I believe these factors led to us scoring too few points.

This issue with scoring too few points seems to be recurring, but I've noticed it is a problem the head coach cannot solve. He has tried many different throwing people during his time, but they seem to be worse than the other teams' throwing people.

He and his bushy browed friend also seem to struggle with strategies for stopping the other team from scoring. I have seen it many times now from teams that have traditionally good throwers and runners and other lesser teams. It's strange how lesser and good teams score so many points!

I noticed our drop kicker change of possession man is good. Perhaps we can build off of him.

Sorry, I am new to the sport, but these are my takes as an outsider.

The recruitment misses have added up.  There is also a suicidal stubbornness on both sides of the ball not to adapt the style of play to the players we have.  The kids know they are being asked to do thinks they simply cannot do by coaches who are not inspiring them.

Basically, this is no longer salvageable.

How in the hell did this not work?

Wow, I mean, wow.  Just...wow.

I really wanted Harbaugh to succeed.  I wanted them to win this game and right the ship.  I hate the idea of firing a coach in midseason.

But, yeah, it sure looked to me like that team gave up, and when that happens, you gotta make changes.

Fucking pathetic and awful.  This team has no juice, no energy.  They are playing with the fire of their head coach which is NO fire.  It is beyond clear to me that Harbaugh has lost the locker room.  I can't believe we are in this position with the coach that was hired to restore Michigan glory.  Year 6 and we should be on top of the world.  Instead we are falling fast into the abyss.  If Warde Manuel doesn't end this disaster right now then he deserves to be fired too.

I've never felt so defeated as an alum and lifelong fan.

So, Angelique says Harbaugh won't quit and Warde will NOT fire JH.  So if he leaves after the season the it proves SOMEBODY was right.

This program is officially worse than after Lloyd left.  Recruiting is going to die and no good coach  would come here.

It's over folks.  The traditions are over.  Lock the doors and turn out the lights.

Now, I've read reports about soccer being just as dangerous as the American football. Soccer players intentionally try to hurt the other team's best player by kicking them squarely in the gonads. Leaving them laying on the sidelines in utter pain. It is brutal. When I first learned of this report some years ago, I was shocked. Stunned. Appalled. However, it is true. Soccer is JUST AS dangerous as the American football, if not MORE dangerous.

At this point I'm begging Harbaugh to step down and let them start the search. For the good of the program and himself. Let Gattis or Warriner be the interim the rest of the year until you find the right one. The longer this goes on the worse it is going to hamper recruiting which is the lifeblood of a program and can be set back 2-3 years easily.

Post game interview and Paul Chryst says, we had a few things we knew would work against Michigan.
What more do you need to know about Harbaugh and Brown’s inability to adjust and fix this shit show?

Harbaugh has to go tonight. He has quit on his team and his team had quit on him. It’s going to take 4 years to recover but after these last 14 crappy years what’s another 4.

Shit show is putting it mildly. I watched about 15 mins (real time, not game time) of the game off and on and I can say the resemblance to the RR years is nuts. Even Hoke at his worst still had a functional defense. This is RR 2008 where it's completely inept on both sides of the ball. The regression is beyond words, an absolute meltdown that I never would've imagined.

Clean out the entire damn program.

Tonight's game was hands down THE worst defeat I have ever seen of a Michigan football team in my 48 year life.  Other than one Cade McNamara series, the team did absolutely nothing notable or positive.  It was humiliating and it's clear that most of the players don't give a shit.  Harbaugh doesn't seem to give a shit.  So fuck off JH.  Your time is done here.  The sooner we move on the sooner we can begin to get better again.  So tired of this shit.  Just GTFO Harbaugh and stop ruining our football team.
