Always wanted Mayfield to win the RT job. Not like this though. Hoping for a quick recovery and no need to play anyone other than Mayfield there other than garbage time.

Fingers crossed for nothing serious because even if he ended up the starter or not, the OL depth takes a blow if he is out for extended time.

Obviously injuries are never good, especially to a guy competing for a starting spot, but Mayfield will be a really good RT. It hurts depth and sucks that one of the 6 guys we felt comfortable starting is out, but luckily for the first time in a while we have the depth to take this hit.

If it is only a start of season injury/not season ending then it's not the end of the world. Get him healthy and keep the rest of the starters healthy through the start of the season (which shouldn't be too daunting) and we'll be fine.

Really sucks, but at one spot where we can afford ONE injury. Hope he is back by October to restore the OT depth we had, and that everyone else stays healthy in the mean time.

This sucks.  But, over the years, there is always one or two injuries in fall camp.  It's just inevitable.  You always have to hope the injuries aren't severe.  In this case, signs are positive it isn't.  If Stueber is the only player we lost for part of the season, we'll be doing well I think.

Ouch! Heal quick big fella.

Some were bound to happen, but at least OL has the depth finally to absorb it.

Might be a blessing, he was weighing more than you want at tackle so a lesser injury now rather than something bigger in season.

Big opportunity for Mayfield to get full run with the 1s and have a month to ease into the role before Wisconsin.

Mayfield will man up. OL will step up and be Jim's best to date.

Injuries are never good, but the team can deal with this so long as Mayfield and Runyan stay healthy before he's able to return.

Nothing unexoected. You can figure every year that whoever you have penciled in as starters, at least 1 or 2 will be unavailable by the time the season starts, or shortly after.
