Fuck that. Now is not the time to start following due process.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:51 PM ^
Now is the time to burn their play house to the ground
November 10th, 2023 at 8:38 PM ^
Connors would not have been assigned the case if needed recusal, or Connors would have recused himself before it even got assigned to him. The docket knew exactly who the two parties were before it was assigned to Connors.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:07 PM ^
JUB is reporting judge is Carol Kunhke. Connors is on the docket as of this moment, however.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:16 PM ^
Cant wait for this to spawn ten years of conspiracy theories
November 10th, 2023 at 8:24 PM ^
Would that not cause him to have to recuse himself?
I can see how that’d be construed as a conflict of interest.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:28 PM ^
For a trial, sure, but a TRO? They can sort it out later; that’s literally the point as I understand it.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:22 PM ^
This^^^^
November 10th, 2023 at 8:28 PM ^
I’d agree but since the committee that handed down then suspension is 3/4 PSU and OSU alumni, I’d say it’s fair game.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:34 PM ^
If SCOTUS doesn't have to recuse (it's voluntary) when there's a huge conflict of interest then no way this guy needs to. But if it came down to a trial instead of the TRO I'm sure he would.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:09 PM ^
Worried about conflict of interest in this debacle?
November 10th, 2023 at 8:31 PM ^
Connors graduated from Wayne State Law, even though he lectures at UM law:
November 10th, 2023 at 8:58 PM ^
WSU is in Detroit. UM started in Detroit. He's practically an alum. Side with the good guys!
November 10th, 2023 at 8:58 PM ^
No different than having refs in Columbus who are in the State of Ohio HOF and other Ohio state affiliations.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:12 PM ^
Tell me when it's approved.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:17 PM ^
Damn right, Mean Joe.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:23 PM ^
How do we know it's been filed but there is no damn PDF leak
November 10th, 2023 at 8:29 PM ^
We may not know until Tomorrow when we either see Harbaugh on the sideline or not. TRO's are rarely leaked if they either succeed or fail.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:44 PM ^
The Tracey-Tucker one was leaked the same day both times
November 10th, 2023 at 8:48 PM ^
It’s a public document lol
November 10th, 2023 at 8:30 PM ^
Connors graduated from Wayne State Law, not UM law, even though Connors lectures at UM Law
November 10th, 2023 at 8:34 PM ^
Connors gets elected every 6 years. He's up for re-election in 2025. His particular type of judgeship IS NOT a lifetime appointment.
November 10th, 2023 at 8:41 PM ^
So how long until we can get James J. Harbaugh v. The Big Ten Conference t-shirts from the MGoStore?
November 10th, 2023 at 8:48 PM ^
Connors got his undergrad from UM: https://law.wayne.edu/profile/ac6095#definition-Degrees%20and%20Certifications
November 10th, 2023 at 8:51 PM ^
I car pooled with Tim to WSU Law for a year 1979-1980. He’s a good guy and a good judge. We can expect a well reasoned and thoughtful decision.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:08 PM ^
I would rather have a shamelessly biased pro-Michigan hack, but I’ll take it.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:33 PM ^
Did he mention he played football at Michigan?
According to Bentley’s Michigan football roster database, there was a Tim Connors on Michigan’s 1972-73 football roster https://t.co/wjj29kjmQw pic.twitter.com/CqKsGmZPD4

Timing was clearly an attempt by the piece of trash comish to change the competitive balance tomorrow. I can only imagine what the referees has been told by the Big 10.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:09 PM ^
Jack Tunney — the former WWF commissioner — was more fair. Expect total non-sense tomorrow. Blow them out and they can’t steal it.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:11 PM ^
Apologies if this has been discussed before. If the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) is valid for 14 days, could it be possible for Michigan to have the TRO take effect starting tomorrow, so it would cover November 25th?
November 10th, 2023 at 9:14 PM ^
I'd like to understand next steps in the event of TRO success. Two-week law suit? TRO extension? I favor getting the TRO, but even that win can by no means be the end game.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:15 PM ^
Yes, but the opposing party (Big Ten) can move to dissolve the TRO sooner. Also the court may want to hear a preliminary injunction motion sooner rather than let the TRO effectively negate the entire suspension.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:49 PM ^
They’ll likely try removal to federal court.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:12 PM ^
I hope there's no order issued before midnight:
November 10th, 2023 at 9:18 PM ^
Brilliant
November 11th, 2023 at 12:32 AM ^
Play the same game b0g played and slow roll this until 11:00 tomorrow morning.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:46 PM ^
Does anyone know when the filing will be public record?
November 10th, 2023 at 9:58 PM ^
Washtenaw County doesn't put the documents online. You have to go down there and view them in person like it's 1998. Wayne is the same. Very annoying.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:48 PM ^
Interesting! What in the name of 1987 is that all about? They are floating out there somewhere/somehow already, per snippets in tweets by Thamel and Vannini. Looking forward to the full document to come out, rather than reading parsed snippets from non-lawyer journalists...
November 10th, 2023 at 9:52 PM ^
FYI. JUB says its in front of a different judge

Saw that tweet, although county court site still says Judge Connors. Any insiders care to clarify?
Add.: Adam Rittenberg (ESPN) also just tweeted that the case will be ruled upon by Judge Carol Kuhnke, who also happens to be a U-M grad

November 10th, 2023 at 9:58 PM ^
She's the chief judge.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:57 PM ^
She's also a Michigan grad.

We can't has nice things!
