And what a great day it was!

Hockey national championship in the afternoon!

I always site this day as the specific best day of my college life.

I was a junior... day began with bong rips in bed and ended walking back to 4th street as the sun rose behind our backs!

I guess the suits have run the numbers and it will make $$$ ..... but I'm shocked to see a spring game airing on an OTA network.  Alabama's spring games on ESPN have only drawn ~ 500K viewers over the years.

Sure, if not for this the various FOX OTA affiliates over the country would simply be showing infomercials instead.  But when they do that, whatever they sell the airtime at it's 100% their $$$.  They tend not to like it if they're forced to air too many low-viewership network shows.

I guess it's not unlike our Princess Kate discussion the other day.  When it comes to TV, if you air it, they will care.

I day-tripped all the way to Phoenix Saturday to hang out with a friend and see an exhibition MLB game (Reds/Rockies).  I get it, pre-season games and spring practices, they serve a purpose for the players and coaches.  And I had fun hanging out with my friend.  But, watching the game itself --- I was definitely thinking, why am I personally watching this, it's meaningless standings wise?!?!?

if we get a nice day michigan fans should really strive to make this the most attending spring game in memory. Still celebrating a title while rallying around the new head man. OSU always gets 80k+ at their spring games. we can do it

We also don't make a spectacle of it.

I don't know if it's changed under Harbaugh, but I remember going to our Spring game in school, and they weren't even showing the field on the big screens or announcing players. Me and my roommate sat in the stands for 30 mins and then left.

But I went to OSU's spring game (yeah, sue me) and it was the same setup as a game in September, with the band, player intros and hype videos, time keeping, PA announcements, etc.

Sorry, it is impossible for Ohio to have the first Nationally Televised Spring Game. We all know they have the pleasure of having the first Nationally Televised Spring Gaxe.

Oh, shoot. Does this mean we don't get to see Jake Butt and Devin Gardner on a split screen calling the action while the actual game takes up about 20 percent of the screen?
