Ryan Day suggests OSU lost because the team was ill
The guy who demanded to play despite COVID now says his team endured “significant” illness during the M game, despite the fact that pretty much all his starters played. What a weasel.

Fucking lol. I used to say this every time I got smoked at H-O-R-S-E in elementary school. I'm still technically undefeated.
December 5th, 2021 at 6:43 PM ^
Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners. Beat Georgia!
December 5th, 2021 at 5:01 PM ^
He must have meant ill prepared.
December 5th, 2021 at 6:26 PM ^
Or that their defensive plan made him want to vomit.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:01 PM ^
Only loser make excuses and Ryan Day sure is one of them
December 5th, 2021 at 5:57 PM ^
I'm sure Day and company will acknowledge that MSU also being sick (and likely who gave them the flu lol) means their 56-7 demolition also shouldn't count
December 5th, 2021 at 5:01 PM ^
This was to be expected.
MSU sat 20 players the same day against PSU and still won. Sooooooo. . .
December 5th, 2021 at 5:02 PM ^
Were der tummy-wummies giving dem ouchie-wowchies?
December 5th, 2021 at 8:32 PM ^
Pretty sure that was Haskins's helmet giving them the tummy pains.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:02 PM ^
So, they weren't healthy and you played them anyway?
December 5th, 2021 at 5:02 PM ^
This was to be expected. Posting from my phone creates double posts.
Fuck Ohio
December 5th, 2021 at 5:02 PM ^
Yeah they were sick of Mr Haskins scoring on them
December 5th, 2021 at 5:02 PM ^
Ok cool, Hook em
December 5th, 2021 at 5:04 PM ^
I hear their fans were sick too after watching OSU get their asses kicked all day long.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:05 PM ^
Mich definitely gave them a severe case of the runs.
December 5th, 2021 at 6:24 PM ^
I want to upvote but you’re at 42. It seems like that should hold.
+1 to you.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:05 PM ^
If Ohio State suffered 15 years worth of debilitating QB injuries to go along a smattering of other injuries to key players in the immediate run up to the Michigan - Ohio State game, coupled with historically egregious referee screw jobs every now and then that directly cause them to lose to us, I would still suggest Ryan Day go and fuck himself. They will almost certainly never experience the density of back luck and bad timing that Michigan has suffered leading up to this game over the last 15 years.
Fuck Ohio.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:07 PM ^
No doubt they were sick of getting pimp slapped around the big house..
Hell, it was so bad that I was almost sick of watching it too...almost
December 5th, 2021 at 5:09 PM ^
Screw him. Let's drop a 100 on him next year.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:10 PM ^
I suggest Ryan Day eat my ass
December 5th, 2021 at 5:13 PM ^
Now that we've overtaken ass all things are possible.
December 5th, 2021 at 6:36 PM ^
Given the fact that the Woody Hayes Athletic Center is basically ground zero for genital warts, given its inhabitants, I would suggest you make sure Ryan Day wears a mask before eating ass.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:11 PM ^
Exactly what an entitled brat born on 3rd base would say.
Good. We're in the coward's head now.
Spend time making excuses instead of fixing what's wrong...love it.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:12 PM ^
So how does it taste to have that team you said you'd drop 100 on break your team's will? How does it taste, Ryan?
42-27
December 5th, 2021 at 5:12 PM ^
We had a flu outbreak on campus so bad that the CDC deployed extra resources to help out. But of course OSU was the only team with sick players on November 27. Sure.
Day is feeling the heat if he has dig out excuses like this.
December 5th, 2021 at 6:37 PM ^
People wondering all of a sudden if he's really a coaching savant or he's just the guy driving Urban's car
December 5th, 2021 at 7:30 PM ^
No one's wondering. He's the guy sitting on third base.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:12 PM ^
When you start making excuses as a coach, there is no stopping. Soon, your players will be making those excuses. Now, I am not sure if they are going to beat UTAH.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:29 PM ^
I think Utah should be strongly favored. Not only does Utah play physical and run the ball well, but OSU will not be nearly as motivated for that game as Utah. Utah is excited to be there, while OSU suffered as big of a disappointment as possible. Teams that are disappointed to go to whatever bowl they are in don't fare well.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:34 PM ^
He is probably laying the groundwork for future excuses.
Some of their amazing WRs won't play - why risk injury since they will have a legitimate chance at being selected in the 1st or 2nd rounds.
So imagine a power running team with a decent defense playing OSU WITHOUT those wideouts - we saw some amazing catches save 3rd and very long - it could get ugly in a long slow methodical way.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:36 PM ^
Gattis did say they were a soft team…sounds accurate.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:15 PM ^
This is case in point of why he won’t be there after next year. He will either beat Michigan and bolt for the NFL going out on a high or he will lose twice in a row and get ran out of town. He has no ties to Ohio St and this excuse is him not owning up to getting his ass handed to him that day. Go Utah!!!
December 5th, 2021 at 5:15 PM ^
This guy is going to hang a hundred excuses on internet message boards
December 5th, 2021 at 5:17 PM ^
They could have the whole roster out for five straight years and it still wouldn't offset all the good fortune they've had the past twenty years.
OT: Can't prove it, but I think they've cheated more than us during that time, too ...
December 5th, 2021 at 5:18 PM ^
Typical bitchasseness I’d expect from those elite minded fools.
Go Utes!!
December 5th, 2021 at 5:18 PM ^
Cry harder.
December 5th, 2021 at 6:38 PM ^
Is this a real shirt that can be purchased? Take my money!
December 5th, 2021 at 10:54 PM ^
Unfortunately, no—I designed it myself. I wouldn't be able to get it printed for sale since I don't have legal permission from the athletic department to use the block M logo.
That doesn't prevent me from using it for my own private entertainment purposes, though.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:19 PM ^
HA ha!
Let me guess, symptoms include muscle weakness, inability to concentrate, and lack of motivation.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:19 PM ^
What a chicken shit bitch.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:21 PM ^
yes. i'm sure their play made them sick.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:21 PM ^
MeanJoe07 gave all their girlfriends Chlamydia.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:24 PM ^
Ryan Day = John Cooper.
change my mind.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:33 PM ^
While I’d love that to be true, those 2 are so different from each other it’s so hard to compare. For starters, it took Cooper like 6 years to get his first win against Michigan. I could go on, but I’ll stop there.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:41 PM ^
Cooper got his first win against Michigan in the 1988 Rose Bowl. Ohhh, you mean as a Buckeye. Yeah, it took him until 1992 to not lose (tie game), 1994 was his first win as coach at Ohio.
December 5th, 2021 at 5:53 PM ^
Yea. That’s what I meant. He was hired because of that win while he was the coach of ASU. But he couldn’t replicate it at OSU, which I strange IMO (but not complaining)
December 5th, 2021 at 6:01 PM ^
Not that strange, while he had that really good ASU team that beat us in the Rose Bowl their only loss that year was to Arizona. He was 0-2-1 against Arizona at ASU.
December 5th, 2021 at 7:33 PM ^
Apples and oranges. Cooper inherited a terrible OSU team and went 4-6-1. Day inherited an absolutely loaded team that really should have won it all.
December 6th, 2021 at 12:58 AM ^
Coop took his losses like a gentleman.
