Very weird way to communicate this. I can only assume this was Harbaugh’s wish, to express frustration with the AD ? This seems deeply dysfunctional

Great news.Only 2 coaches can justify a higher salary Saban and Smart.I wonder about Warde and Jim’s relationship after this go round.I wonder if Warde knows his place in the pecking order.

Great news. Regarding Warde, I think too many people assume he has the power and authority to do more than he can do. More specifically, with NIL, with admissions requirements for transfers, and even some with the salaries of assistant coaches, Warde can't unilaterally approve what I'm pretty sure Harbaugh is asking for.

The deal is done. Three of five OL guys are coming back. Corum stays, Cornelius Johnson stays. That's just on offense. Maybe it was in the tea laves that bode well for this deal to close with Jim resigning.

Yes, there are more details to come. Today is a good day! Go Blue!

Jim Harbaugh:

"I love the relationships that I have at Michigan — coaches, staff, families, administration, President Santa Ono and especially the players and their families."

There's a name in there that's conspicuous by its absence.

Big News !!!

This is very enlightening though with regard to Warde.

Usually a University President would make every effort to protect the reputation of the Athletic Director, even when they are a dead man walking.  For the President to make a statement so clear that he was one that negotiated and got the deal done is really disparaging for Warde.  Santa really has nothing really to gain by taking all the credit, as he is the President of the University and has huge responsibilities elsewhere.

Yeah, I'm pretty uneasy with how this went down, re: the conspicuous absence of Warde in the statements. I think people should be treated with respect unless they do something egregious or illegal, and I don't think having a difference of opinion on NIL or salary negotiations falls into either of those categories. If they don't see eye-to-eye on something and it's time for Warde to move on, fine. But doing it this way seems kind of petty.

Hoping to see JH stick around for the long term. He's young enough that if he wanted to, he could retire as the winningest football coach we've ever had. Yeah, a Super Bowl is nice but lots of coaches have that. Only one coach can win more games at the winningest program in the country than anyone else, so why not try for that instead?

EDIT: Looks like he's 120 wins back of Bo....just need 8 straight 15-0 seasons to tie him.

You'd think at some point the longer he stays here, the less appealing he would be to an NFL team. I mean if Vince Lombardi came back from the dead, would he be your first choice for an NFL coach in today's NFL? Obviously that analogy doesn't quite work, but you get the idea.
