Met him about 20 years ago when my band opened for him at New Holland Brewery. We sounded awful; he did some spoken word. He was a great dude. Absolutely stoned out of his mind the entire time, and a super nice guy.

It’s a classic episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 in which they riff on the film “The Final Sacrifice.” One of the characters has a father who looks like Larry Csonka and they keep making fun of that. Rowsdower and Mike Pipped are other characters in the movie. One of the best episodes ever, but unfortunately it’s unavailable anywhere as the original filmmaker became very possessive of his work after it received the MST3K treatment.

Hell damn fart, this bums me out to no end. My wife and I ALWAYS hit up Angelos when we're back in town. It was a favorite during my bachelor years as well. Damn. Damn.
As I recall that Urban GIF was right after losing the Big Ten Championship game to sparty... And then sparty got pummeled like 49-0 by bama, right? So yes, shame. Huge shame.
Watched last night with my wife. One of our gymnasts fell off the beam during her routine. Obviously that score was dropped in regular competition but when the tiebreaker became necessary, it came back to bite us. Total bummer and I know how awful she must feel. I’d never really watched gymnastics outside of the Olympics before and man oh man did it make me nervous. I can’t imagine the stress of doing those routines. Go Blue!!
Encore Records moving from Liberty to Kerrytown is a shame. Their original location was a cluttered mess, but still organized, which was exactly how a record store should be. Glad the State Theater (where I worked for 3 years) is still around, although I hear it's been remodeled inside. I graduated 20 years ago and when I come back to visit, I still get the awesome vibes that made me enroll in the first place, so I'm glad that hasn't diminished. Also, shout-out to the NYPD posts. Went there last time I visited and it held up nicely.
Walton, Wagner and Wilson are pure gold in the photo header, imo. I also forgot how much I love John Beilein until I saw the aforementioned photo. Happy Valentine's Day everybody...
Cade's decision-making skills were always highly touted while he played for us, thusly I trust his decision-making in this as well insofar as he's decided this is what's best for himself. I will never root against the guy.
During the end of season banquet, Rich Rod had the sound guy play a Groban song in its entirety while he and several people joined hands and swayed along to it. After the song was over he said he hoped he would still be coaching at Michigan. Shortly thereafter Groban himself mocked Rich Rod for it on Twitter.
I have a huge job interview coming up Monday so obviously I was/am more nervous about that than anything else, but I never got worried during this game. Not once. We were in control from the start, flukes and mind-numbing penalties aside. It was as good a mental gift as I could have hoped for.
This game was, I believe, the perfect encapsulation of quintessential Harbaugh. Stubborn with the run. Punch you in the mouth. Blue collar with just enough panache. Penn State “earned” 10 points and nothing more. I was more nervous about this game than any other but once it started, I felt zen the entire time because of the coaching and play calling. Excellent game.
This was a game that really showed my worst side to some of my newer game watching friends. I was insufferable until we were finally up by two scores, and even then I was still obnoxious. CHAOS game! Oh, and while I always say I don't want to be a blame the refs guy, I really feel like the fix was in on lots of the calls and missed calls. Ugh! Great win regardless! GO BLUE!!!!
