OSU fans totally convinced last two years was from cheating.
FWIW looking at OSU boards is like an alternative universe. They are convinced last 2 years is from cheating .They are also convinced that the cheating is going to motivate OSU. I view it totally opposite. It would be nice if somehow in the next week the narrative would change. NCAA done and found nothing. JH contract extension. Anything to stop the OSU driven media drum.
November 19th, 2023 at 5:51 PM ^
surprised that 81% isn’t at least 10 points higher.
November 19th, 2023 at 6:12 PM ^
It's probably because all the Michigan fans lurking on their board voted "No". LOL.
November 19th, 2023 at 7:06 PM ^
They also can't read and just randomly click on things on their favorite websites with lots of videos and pictures.
November 19th, 2023 at 6:18 PM ^
Surprised they figured out how to vote in an online poll.
November 19th, 2023 at 6:21 PM ^
Now overlay the results of the one that asks, “Do you poop in coolers and bang your cousins?” You’ll get the same distribution.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:18 PM ^
OSU fans need to watch those games again, play by play. But they can't bear to see the eventual outcome. Talk about arrogant fans. Bottom line is that they cannot face reality. The funniest thing is how last year's game ended in horseshoe (snake pit) when Donovan exploded on those 2 long TD runs to ice the game for Michigan.
Glad to see the OSU fans in anguish. I hope that they all stay in C-Bus Saturday because they are NOT welcome in Ann Arbor!
November 19th, 2023 at 4:48 PM ^
They got spoiled by OSU's success, especially against Michigan, and they figure that they're entitled to beat Michigan every year. So when they lose, it had to be for some reason other than Michigan played better.*
*I actually do know a couple of OSU fans who are not like this. They do exist.
November 19th, 2023 at 5:40 PM ^
It’s called safelite field
November 19th, 2023 at 5:48 PM ^
When the only thing your school is known for is football..........
November 19th, 2023 at 6:03 PM ^
Excellent point. I know OSU places reasonably well in academic rankings, but I couldn’t tell you any programs that they are known for. At least with MSU, they are known for animal husbandry, cardboard boxes, turf management and rare earth ions.
November 19th, 2023 at 7:49 PM ^
I don't think it's a bad school. I would call it a good, but not great, state school. Michigan has so much more going on in addition to football.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:18 PM ^
And they will think so because Connor Stalions gave them a reason. If we win this year, their excuses won’t mean much. Lose on Saturday and no amount of proof we didn’t cheat will matter.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:21 PM ^
Why in the fuck would you visit hell when you have paradise right here?
November 19th, 2023 at 4:22 PM ^
The NCAA investigation caused Chris Partridge to react badly over another nothingburger and resulted in his termination. For the use of iPhones at public events (gasp!) when headsets or wristbands would address the concern.
An overzealous focus on an archaic rule by a sclerotic organization that is not adapting to the present.
NCAA, meet the NCAA, they're the leeching, stone-age agency
From the, 1960s, they're outdated as can be
Let's ban, using iphone technology
Ignoring, the easy headset remedy
November 19th, 2023 at 6:56 PM ^
I would like to believe that Partridge simply over-reacted, I don’t have any idea what really happened. It’s certainly possible that he was more directly involved with what Stallions was doing. We’ll probably find out eventually - when JUB publishes his next book.
November 19th, 2023 at 7:15 PM ^
This is ridiculous, who cares if Partridge knew or did not know.
No one should be outraged that Partridge did or did not know about this.
If this was an actual legit thing, I.e. sign stealing is illegal and Michigan did it, then maybe.
But it’s not, everyone does the crap, a lot of teams use 3rd parties to get signs of upcoming opponents so it’s very hard to be outraged or concerned with anything coaches have done in response to this. Or outraged or concerned with “who knew what, when!” It’s irrelevant, because NCAA has not EVEN defined (other than university staff) who they consider to be “advanced scouts.” Per the rules, if Stallions was using 3rd parties to scout (that were not associated with the University), using his own money without university knowledge, Michigan did not break any rules nor did Stallions technically.
Until NCAA looks into where OSU and Rutgers got all of Michigans Offensive and Defensive signals from last year, what Partridge or other coaches knew or did not know is irrelevant.
Either punish all teams for having 3rd party “advance scouted” sign information or clarify the rules.
November 19th, 2023 at 7:35 PM ^
The banning of in person scouting is ridiculous in this day and age. If the NCAA would keep up with the times, CFB would be using headsets or wristbands. Instead, the NCAA prefers to keep its buggy-whip regulations.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:23 PM ^
Of course they do. As for the cheating motivating OSU, if they need additional motivation, i.e. The Game isn't motivation enough, seems that they got their version of Rich Rod.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:26 PM ^
I love this. They cannot comprehend how the rubes from Michigan could ever be better than them. They have all the recruiting stars. They have the flashy offense and the NFL wide receivers. They even have the Big Ten commissioner in their back pocket.
The Big Ten championship is their birthright. No team from Michigan could legitimately take that away. There must be some illegitimate reason when they don't win it. There has to be.
So now . . . Ah Ha!! We found it! It's because Michigan cheated. Of course. That has to be it, it's the only possible explanation.
Good. Let them keep thinking that. Let them think they've "solved" Michigan by kneecapping Harbaugh, with the Big Ten commissioner at their side.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:34 PM ^
Plus they have the softest players and coach.
Mr Whipple clap-clap, clap-clap-clap
November 19th, 2023 at 4:26 PM ^
OSU had Michigan's signs last year (and in years prior).
Michigan had OSU's signs.
Seems pretty even there.
Also, Stroud threw for more yards against Michigan than he did UGA, more than he averaged during the season.
Also, OSU will have their sign stealing guy working the sideline while Michigan won't so if they don't win this year without Harbaugh on the sideline... Jesus Christ pack that program up.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:28 PM ^
This brings up a really good question: Why will this be allowed? Its a threat to player safety according to the Big Ten commissioner.
November 19th, 2023 at 6:17 PM ^
Yup, sign stealing should be explicitly banned since it's a player safety issue. Clear as day based off the commissioner's dumbass logic.
November 19th, 2023 at 11:28 PM ^
If it truly is a matter of player safety or the integrity of the game, all sign-stealing and relaying or sharing of such information should be banned.
Each coach player, coach, and staff-member should have to sign a pledge that they will never engage in such activity actively or passively.
Any indication of relaying information re: signs from the other team? A warning. Next? 15 yard penalty. After that? Forfeiture.
Otherwise, this singular exception to permitting getting information regarding signs, playbooks, etc. from other schools, transfers or hires from opponents of players, coachs, staff, or from "anonymous" volunteer or third-party sources, is outdated and absurd.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:29 PM ^
Good. Now go win on Saturday and let's see what the excuse is.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:29 PM ^
I’m sure there are some students on Saturday that could figure out the signs by the end of the first quarter. They could hold up run or pass and send the bucknuts completely out of their minds. Down with Ohio State it’s a know nothing cooler pooping school.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:31 PM ^
At the very least they aren't complaining about player safety like sparty losers.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:35 PM ^
“Cheating”? Unless you’re going to define any violation of the NCAA rules as cheating, then that is such an obtuse and inflammatory word to describe what Stalions did. He broke an obscure rule that was almost repealed in 2021 that no one knew about four weeks ago. And if you do want to define it that way, then boy do I have news for you about how frequently Ohio State has “cheated.”
What a soft and delusional fanbase.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:35 PM ^
If Michigan doesn’t win this game, this will become the permanent narrative. Just hope JJ gets his mo Jo back.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:40 PM ^
Exactly.
Can’t remember a more important win in the last however many years.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:37 PM ^
Nobody cares
November 19th, 2023 at 4:41 PM ^
Good!
November 19th, 2023 at 4:42 PM ^
Of course they do, I wouldn't have it any other way.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:44 PM ^
Okay, I'm convinced they've been cheating since the Tressel era.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:46 PM ^
Lunatics.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:51 PM ^
osu is afraid of Jim Harbaugh!
osu is afraid of competition in the conference!
November 19th, 2023 at 4:51 PM ^
OSU fans are cunts
November 19th, 2023 at 4:52 PM ^
Just compare the half time, and full game scores.
Stroud and the Buckeyes receiving corps caught everything possible in ‘21.
OMG - I just looked at the weather.. high temps in the 30’s for the weekend with lows in the mid 20’s. It looks to be dry…
I’m not counting chickens - but, I will be cheering loudly on Saturday.
Go Blue!
November 19th, 2023 at 4:53 PM ^
No they don't. Their internet brains might. But really they know we were just better.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:55 PM ^
They don’t though, at all. It’s a way to cope. When you are down here in person the way they say it is like half embarrassed and sort of knowing it’s not real but it makes them feel better.
I remember when I was much younger and anytime someone was bigger than me I’d say “they take so much steroids!”
it made me feel better, kinda, but also was a little embarrassing and deep down, I knew pathetic.
You Michigan fans need to stop parroting it though.
November 19th, 2023 at 4:56 PM ^
Who cares?
November 19th, 2023 at 4:59 PM ^
College Game Day signs:
No Coach > OSU Coach
and
WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE GONNA BE AFTER THIS LOSS?
November 19th, 2023 at 5:50 PM ^
The excuses are starting to turn comical at this point. I had a boss when I was in high school that never fired one employee because that employee came up with the craziest excuses for being late 95% of the time. He was impressed at his creativity and always made him laugh, so he kept him around even though he was very unreliable. Let's hope ohio state does the same with Day
November 19th, 2023 at 5:13 PM ^
Good. Hopefully their players believe that too.
November 19th, 2023 at 5:15 PM ^
The idea that Ryan Day is a bad coach seems ??. I don’t care for him, but he’s only lost 2x in the Big Ten. That’s hard to do as we saw yesterday.
November 19th, 2023 at 5:58 PM ^
But does that roster start to fall apart abruptly if his soft ass loses for a 3rd straight year to Michigan? They clearly wouldn't be a power house if they didn't throw bags of cash at players, Dick Tracy, or Refs.
November 19th, 2023 at 5:17 PM ^
“Cheating” is Linus’s blanket to them. Their Twixxer feeds are full of this big lie nonsense as well. Let them have it, and hope that their players believe it 100%. We know that they had our signals last year and that they changed their own. Come the 25th there will be no excuses.
November 19th, 2023 at 5:17 PM ^
You can't fix stupid.
