Notre Dame fires their DC

I guess giving up 38 points to Duke is enough to get the axe

This is a bone thrown to the fans plus their D sucked too. I thought Kelly was going to be a major plus for ND now I hope they never fire him.

Free money and he doesn't have to be around Kelly anymore.

I didn't even know she was being groomed for the position?
Might actually be an improvement.

Kelly is the master at throwing others under the bus. Last night it was "every position is up for grabs." Today it's his DC getting canned. I've never once heard him own a mistake and he's made plenty.

No the long snapper is safe.

rifled one 10 feet over the punter's head next game. I would be sorry for the LS, but Kelly's head exploding would make for great replays. I think BK just jinxed the poor kid.

no longer is jersey number 1 up for grabs.

Such a toolbag. Hope they have like 3 to 5 more losses and just fall apart with a new d-coordinator. I can see Stanford, Miami and USC at the end of the year taking care of them. Goodbye recruits and hello to Michigan boys! They are going to get whats coming to them in 2018.

I suppose losing the title "team with best winning percentage in college football history" to Michigan has something to do with this too... Probablly not, but I'd like to think so.

Brian VanGorder has been fired as #NotreDame's Def. Coord. Now he can go back to making commercials for Just for Men Moustache & Beard.

He's solid for 8-9 wins a year, and the occasional 10-11 win season.

Notre Dame could realistically lose out at home. All of their easier games are away from South Bend.
They only have 3 home games remaining:
- #7 Stanford
- #14 Miami
- Virginia Tech: a team that has blown out its last two opponents, is close to entering the top 25, and has a track record of pulling off upsets in iconic Midwest stadiums as of late (looking at you, Ohio State)
I'd be shocked if Notre Dame has a better than 1-5 record in South Bend this year (with the one win already occuring over terrible Nevada).
Navy looks good this year and could pose a problem for the Irish. And USC is also struggling, but I think they have more natural talent than Notre Dame and the game is in Los Angeles. ND will struggle to get to 6 wins.
Beautiful fact: Both Purdue and Indiana have more wins than Notre Dame

He'll always have that time where his defense ended Michigan's decades-long no-shutout streak.
