Ads are showing lingerie models, and I can't click the Ad Choices link to let Google know they're inappropriate.  When I do click that link, it just takes me to the lingerie company website.  Which of course only makes the problem worse.  Now the ads are all lingerie and I can't have that shit on my computer at work because it's gross and would rightly make anyone seeing uncomfortable.  Which means I can't have mgoblog open at work.

I'm just one guy but if this is happening for others it's going to be a real problem really quick.  Not just for lost clicks, but some dudes won't care or won't notice and you're going to have women at work walking by monitors with boobs and that's gross.

I believe what drives what ads you see is based on your browsing history.  You would not personally have had to do a search on 'sexy lingerie' or visited the Victoria Secret website as it could have been something one of us mendicants posted on a page here and you read that page.

I forget what the topic was, but a few months ago we had a discussion here on something non-naughty and all my ads on mgoblog were related to that subject.  I didn't post anything on that page.  Just read it and the ads showed up.

You can't control what others post here, but you can clear your own browsing history and then do searches on non-naughty stuff and see if that helps.  Maybe camping gear, the Boeing 747 or Jesus on the cross.

If you are at work and seeing lingerie models, that is because someone else at your office is looking at sites that lingerie companies feel are indicators of a person who would want to buy lingerie.  Might not be you, but someone in your office is.  Now, if you want to get around seeing IP based ads, use Chrome and log into your Google account.  The ads will be based off what you view.  If you are still seeing them, it would then be based off your browsing history.

Yes, and he's getting straight out abusive.

I don't see why he can't just get banned as soon as it looks like he's Maizen. If by some long shot it's not, give that poster a chance to show that he's someone else. Maizen dominates and drags down every thread he's in. There's really no worse action the mods can take than not banning him quickly.

He got caught making two accounts at once and replying to himself, and Seth still let one of the accounts survive for weeks afterward. I just don't understand. If it's been decided that you've done something to get banned before, when another account by the same person pops up, it's not a fresh start. Their past actions have to come into consideration.

That's not how the internet works.

I could go and make 100 accounts right now from a single computer and they could all appear to have originated from a different location.  If the original IPs blocked, the other 99 still get through.

Mentioning this not to be a dick but because whenever the troll discussion comes up, so does blocking IPs.  Don't you think the site would have deployed that if IP blocking was a thing.

I actually thought the offense in the first half was fine, but for the mistakes.  I would like a UFR to get a grip on what happened to the offense in the second half, and why senior safety Metellus looked like he had at least two coverage busts.  As for the defense, the problems at DT are fixable.  The 56 points for OSU is a mirage.  We handed them the last two touchdowns by going for it on 4th down, once on our own 30 yard line, and once around the 50.  We did that because the game was, surprisingly, still in reach.  Would they have scored anyway?  Maybe.  But the point is not that we were likely to win; we were not likely to win.  But it was not the blowout it looks like, and to think about it moving forward I would like Brian to answer those two questions: second half offense and possible Metellus coverage busts.  Without those (and the obvious mistakes) the game is at least not a blowout.

Please investigate this commenter. He doesn't comment much, but when he does it's mostly calling people trolls and other names. I don't see adding too much of substance to conversations. His comments seem to be a lot like another commenter who is always calling people a troll.

Transferring Michigan player says struggling journalist is telling lies for attention.

If you haven't blocked Yoder on Twitter you shouldn't be on Twitter.

I was initially and mainly talking about the SI article written by the journalist. When I went to get the player's "cap" response, I noticed that player's reply to Yoder right above it so I included it.

Figured it was only right to combat that thread that was feeding info from the article.

I fully understand though. (I'm not the one who negged)

Blame Beilein?

This could have been a response to somebody in the game thread but the rest of us don't need to hear your take which is mostly complaining.

Not sure if this should go here or in the bugs sticky:

Have not been able to reset password successfully.  I can enter a new password, receive a message from the site saying the changes have been made, but the login credentials remain the same.

Two of last three board posts are just someone's name:

"Jordan Poole"

"Charles Matthews II"

To avoid more "Justin Feagin" posts, is there a way to require a certain number of words or characters in the title?  Requiring 5 or 6 words would force more descriptive titles.

I don't know if this would work, but bad titles irk me.
