I think of all the things that recent success has been attributed to, the offensive line is by far the most important. Getting one yard when needed and (at least) 4 regularly in the ground game has been a difference maker. Protecting the qb is icing on the cake. Would like to be a continued destination for offensive line recruits.

"NIL" is just the clamactic legalization for the money/promise-circuses that were happening pre-NIL, in escalation.

Despite NIL being just as nebulous, confusing, and opaque, something about 3-5 letter acronyms seem to set the human mind at ease, despite zero substantiating evidence—e.g. where in the constitution do they mention the CIA? CDC? They're effective, we call them SSRI's! (and so forth)

+100 to you.

I was just logging in to post a similar thought. Michigan's play in the trenches on both sides of the ball has been the difference. OSU has had all the 5-star and NFL skill talent, but Michigan has been decisively better on the OL and DL the last two years.

#2 for me would be getting our QB healthy through the season and especially to the Game and at least our QB matching the play of CJ Stroud.

Insane how good they've been with maybe 2 2nd round picks, day 2 at the very least, starting. They're not a bunch of future 1st rounders, but just work so well together.

NJ - I think they are such a great example of teamwork.  Communication, adjustment, scheme, and execution.  It’s been great to watch them play, cheer for them, and appreciate their accomplishments.

Congratulations to everyone in the position group, the TE’s, RB’s, WR’s, and QB’s.  Oh, and the coaching staff too. Great attitude and a bit of nasty.

For those that know football, the Joe Moore Award is the premier postseason recognition trophy.  We are witnessing history here.  It's impossible to overstate the significance of this achievement. In my best Gus Johnson voice:  WOW!

Without this award, there is no talk of Corum for Heisman. No back-to-back everything. This is one of the most important awards.

It's also the greatest trophy in sports.

I'm all for congratulating Coach Moore but this is going way too far. Lots of assistant coaches have short term success. You can't lock up the head coaching spot at Michigan over this.  You need a broader sample size, preferably at multiple locations and show success with very different pieces to play with.  Some people last year wanted to lock up Gattis and look at how he turned out at Miami.

I've lived in Wisconsin for the last 22 years. Having heard so much about the Badgers offensive linemen during that time, I have to say it is really satisfying to see Michigan win this award the past two seasons. I remember the days when it was Michigan who was turning out All-Americans in the trenches every year. That was the foundation that Bo and Jerry Hanlon built the program on.

People are masters of rationalization; I rationalize that the silver lining of Corum's injury is that Edwards' performance in OSU/Purdue iced the Joe Moore award for Michigan.
